Love him or hate him, this was actually a stunning lap. Literally perfection. Drivers always say that you can never get a perfect lap but you get close to it. And this really was that lap. I'm still stunned as to how he got it. If this was the RB then I wouldnt be this hyped over it cause the mercs are never really strong in Singapore. This was a high downforce circuit suiting the RB. Even max was 3 tenths away from Lewis's pole lap and Max is one of the best drivers on the grid. Really stunning lap this one. Magical, stardust lap.

He came what, 0.3 seconds ahead of Verstappen in a car that was far quicker. In my opinion it wasn't even the best qualifying lap of this qualifying session.
I honestly came to this video expecting him to have finished about 2 seconds ahead of the pack. Considering he was driving the greatest car of all time, and it was supposedly the greatest lap of all time. But nah, 0.3 seconds ahead of a 20 year old who was driving a tractor....

To put this into perspective: Lewis' 2018 pole lap time is 9 seconds faster than what he managed in 2015. What a difference 3 years of development (and a softer tyre compound) makes

This look intense but imagine doing it for 2 hours
This is truly mesmerizing to watch, the no risk factor is just seeping through, when man and machine are in harmony, it can deliver stunning results
Stunning lap..with the 2022 Singapore GP this weekend i love looking back at this lap it was absolutely brilliant along with his lap in Australia, it was absolutely genius on the limit every inch of the track he owned it..truly shows why he is the greatest driver in his era. A legend. The GOAT imo and I reiterate IMO everyone has one and none of us are more right then the other we can argue and debate it ALL DAY but I feel Lewis is the G.O.A.T
Nothing new here. Lewis doing what he has done for years. "Setting the standard". And provoking jealous haters!
Well done Lewis!!
I come back to this video every now and again to appreciate modern art
this lap, 4 years later, is still just mesmerizing
Outrageous. I am no Lewis Hamilton fan, but there's no denying his amazing talent and this video shows it. For me this is his "Senna at Monaco" moment, that time was literally untouchable. Easily the driver of his generation.
I keep coming back to watch this lap every once in a while, almost like form of meditation, man and machine working in harmony at the highest level. Not a Hamilton fan, but this here shows just how brilliant of a driver he is.
For those wondering, these ain't the hard compound tires, these were the notorious hypersoft tires only present in 2018 which degraded within 10 laps
nevermind im dyslexic
“hypersoft”, or “c5” tyres still exist they are just called “soft” when they are used at their specific tracks now
