Nice overview of the Vita launch line up. Being a huge fan of the PSP, I'll wait to see how the Vita turns out. Sony certainly has a lot riding on the release!
A friend suggested a video of yours to me and I literally loved it! It was your room tour. I can only dream of seeing a collection as epic and great as yours. When I get money I will start collecting everything which I know is going to be hard but with people like you out there it gives me hope.
I actually imported a Vita, and I have to say, I've never been so impressed graphically on a handheld. The thing is a beast. UMvC3's art looks amazing on the screen, and the brightness/crispness of it just jumps out at you. Cant wait for some of the US games myself. In particular, Sumioni. Game looks amazing.
@trailerparkboys9 No video like I did for 3DS, I am simply walking into the store and buying it, no waiting in like for 18 hours or whatever I did like the 3DS :)
On launch day, I'm getting the 1st edition bundle, Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Little Deviants (included in bundle), Super Stardust Delta, and Touch My Katamari. Also looking forward to Gravity Rush when that releases this Spring. Played it at CES and it is truly amazing.
I was waiting for you to do a video like this like the one you did for the 3DS! Hoping you go to the big Launch Party and make another video like the 3DS one! Looking forward to it.
My game store had a demo unit available and the system has fantastic build quality and a very nice touchscreen and fantastic screen with good viewing angles. It feels like I am holding bulletproof glass. The analogue sticks are fantastic. In my opinion the 3DS and Psvitas analogue sticks are both equally as good. Only problem imo is that there is only 1 launch title I am interested in playing and that's it so I will lay off until they release better games for the system.
I don't see a lot of Vitas around right now, though I do see plenty of games on the shelves. I didn't even know it had launched here yet, so I guess the hype wasn't so high. Come to think of it, I've not even seen any commercials for it.
Army Corps of Hell looks like it could be a definite sleeper hit, glad Square is deciding to put out something insane as fuck like this. Dungeon Hunter Alliance has got me all happy cause I love games like that, Bauldurs gate, Diablo 2. Just fun as hell. Little Deviants seems like it could be a ton of fun, hoping they really take advantage of the hardware in such a way that other devs will follow suit. Touch my Katamari will rock no doubt, glad cause Me and my Katamari on psp needed a 2nd stick
3g model is discontinued in canada, they only off the wifi for 250 or the wifi little deviant package for 300. they coudlnt work out a contract with rogers in time to launch the 3g, it might be released in april. whatever, wifi is everywhere and phones can hotspot.
I plan on buying the standard Vita (without 3GS capabilities) on Feb 22nd. And I agree, Pete -- the Vita has the strongest launch line-up of any system in recent memory.
Man Pete one thing I have to ask is where do you find the time? I mean between work and life in general I have barely any time to play video games. I know you said you were in school and you are doing these videos plus playing games and reviewing geez!!!!
Hey pete i dont really get whats so good about touch my katamari..like what are you really supposed to do just try to accomplish that shape and thats it? or is there something is to it?
@ShawShank503 thats not a very fair arguement, if the cube released a year earlier, it would definiately be up there. and the ds sold double the psp. so theres that.
Vita looks fantastic, Gravity Daze and Uncharted are my top picks to get me started. One question though, will my vita trophies link with my PS3 trophies and will I use my same log in ?
From the moment my early adopter Vita gets into my hands, I will be playing WipEout 2048 until my eyes won't stay open. ModNation Racers, Little Big Planet & Hot Shots Golf are all games I will get eventually, but that week is all about WipEout (and Twisted Metal PS3).
isnt gravity rush a launch game ? cause im getting a wifi ver since its $350 in australia it limits me to getting two games just gravity rush and lumines (loved lumines plus on ps2)
Im getting a Vita because there's so many great games that I want to play on it. I will probably get a 3DS once they include the another circle pad in the design. Camera control is very important to me.
Lumines and Katamari are the only two that I care about thus far. I'll be waiting for until the launch date bugs get worked out of the hardware before buying.
@adrian12333 How has your Vita been overall? What are its pros and cons? (I apologize in advance for asking you this in the comments section because I know how irritating the character limit is if you want to provide a nice, detailed response.)
F1 2011 ( got it for the PS3 and Xbox 360 and I can't wait to play it on the go ). EA Fifa Soccer ( with the Vita you can actually pick where you want to shoot to goal touching the rear touch pannel, PS3 or Xbox 360 dont have that feature in the Fifa Soccer 2012). Resistance: Burning Skies ( two analog sticks, Sweet.. ). Unit 13. Dungeon Hunter, and Uncharted.
You to remember the 3DS started off slow in Japan when it first launched as well....even the PSP was outselling it....but look how its doing today compared to when it launched. Give the Vita time and with bigger game releases the sales should increase.
@BalAfrrRe the 3DS was also $250, had no Mario game, and many features were not active. Only when the price was dramatically cut and software made available did sales boost. And it was Holiday season. Hell, I bought two of them. The Vita will not benefit the same. I'm worried.
gotta be honest, im not feeling the vita like i was the 3ds, but i'll wait to see what games will come out for it, the launch games aren't doing much for me personally though.
@Sendarian1 I only use my phone for calling. Why? Because it was invented to that purpose. When I want to play games on the go, I use my handheld consoles such as the Game Boy, Nintendo DS and PlayStation Portable. :)
im not sure if im gonna pick this up day one or just wait a month or 2. But i can say i will get this day one, only thing is i got a few games i still wanna finish and get the 3ds resident evil coming out that month too
Here are the games im getting for the vita in order of when im getting them 1. Little Devients (comes with the bundle) 2. Uncharted: Golden Abyss 3. Lumines Electronic Symphony 4. Super StarDust Delta 5. WipEout 2048 6. Rayman Origins 7. Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 8. Dungeon Hunter Alliance 9. Gravity Rush 10. Ridge Racer
I'm still not sure if I will buy the Vita at launch (mainly because I might wait for a price drop), but if I do, Lumines is definitely my number one pick.....followed by Uncharted and Wipeout. I'm really looking forward to future games such as the FFX port and Persona 4 The Golden.
Like most new systems, I won't ne picking it up until the game library gets better, there aren't really a lot of titles they appeal to me, but as always I wait until the first price drop.
@hypersonic1337 ya, and i don't think the gamers that buy games digitally would have enough space. They would need to buy more than one 32gb card since each game is like 2gb and there might be DLC.
@PeteDorr day 1 pre-orders and dungeon hunter and wipeout, so many others on launch and that have been announced look great though, hope lord of apocalypse gets an English translation it looks like fixed version of lord of arcana
I just bought a PSP 3000 last month. I think I'll wait another 7 years to pick up the Vita and buy all of the games for $5.00 a piece like I'm currently doing with the psp.
Very informative. I haven't researched it any and this is the first I've heard of any of the Vita launch titles, so I appreciate your video. FWIW though, "corps" is pronounced "core", not "corpse". :^p
@Rec0nLuk3 a lot of the launch titles aren't out in Japan. and monster hunter 3D or 3G, whatever, just came out for the 3DS. it's also more expensive in Japan, in relativity to the yen. there are a number of factors.
Launch games. 1. Uncharted GA 2. WipEout 2048 3. Ninja gaiden sigma plus 4. Little Deviants (with bundle) Launch Window. 1. Gravity Rush 2. Unit 13 3. Silent hill book of memories I'm getting the first edition just to get the vita a week early, i don't even care about the 3G lol
Hate to disapoint you about unit 13, but i put a ton of hours into socom 4's online and unit 13 looks identical to socom's animation. Im not kidding when i say zipper has recycled their socom 4 engine on unit 13, the camera, animations and shooting looks identical and a mask of different environments.
@28steryan sorry, in hindsight I should have left it as a reply to someone like "wateverwill". I just got angry at people who just don't even think about what they're saying when they say "Nintendo is the best" regardless of actual facts and I grouped you in the same category. I'm aware that you might have actually checked them both out and genuinely think the 3DS looks better.
i was gunna get a wifi day one but changed my mind, now freakin sony has me thinkin about getting a 3g model cause of that limited edition bundle they just announced.
@PeteDorr I'll probably grab: Ridge Racer, Uncharted (most definitely), ModNation (Although I'm with u on this I have it for the PS3/PSP/PSPgo. Not sure.), Shinobi, Ninja Gaiden....um, that's it I think for money sakes, lol.
Gravity Rush and Escape Plan are the only games in the lineup that interest me on a handheld. Right now the 3DS and iPad is fulfilling my handheld needs. Perhaps that's the same for a lot of people considering the Vita's rough couple of weeks. Games like Uncharted are better played on my consoles. At least for me they are. Just heard that rear touch pad is not textured at all. That would bug me.
The only three games I'm getting are Hot Shots Golf, Rayman Origins, and Lumines. Not caring for Uncharted, not getting Ridge Racer on principle, I just realized Wipeout + long load times are not my type of game. Katamari I will probably purchase in the future sees how I haven't played/own one since number 2 on the PS2. Gravity Rush is a must buy though
this is why i love youtube. its like a time capsule. pete you look like a baby. love the channel and the new game play channel here in 2021
Nice overview of the Vita launch line up. Being a huge fan of the PSP, I'll wait to see how the Vita turns out. Sony certainly has a lot riding on the release!

I can only dream of seeing a collection as epic and great as yours. When I get money I will start collecting everything which I know is going to be hard but with people like you out there it gives me hope.
I'm definitely looking forward to the system especially with such a large list of games at launch and some really nice looking rpg's in the works :D
@AppleTechChannel Just an error in editing it seems.
I'm planning on waiting a few years before deciding if I should buy a Vita or not. If I do end up getting one down the line, it'll be used.
Pete, you made me excited for a console that I wasn't that interested in. How do you always do that!?
I'm getting it on launch here in Australia , can't wait!
@Imtherealsaturnsonic Lumines and Katamari are brand new games. I forgot Gravity Rush too which is shaping up to be the Vita's killer app.
3g model is discontinued in canada, they only off the wifi for 250 or the wifi little deviant package for 300. they coudlnt work out a contract with rogers in time to launch the 3g, it might be released in april. whatever, wifi is everywhere and phones can hotspot.
Hi i just wanted to tell you how much I love your videos and how well done and enjoyable they are. keep up the good work and I am a loyal follower
I plan on buying the standard Vita (without 3GS capabilities) on Feb 22nd. And I agree, Pete -- the Vita has the strongest launch line-up of any system in recent memory.
Pete van you do a video on all of your Kirby games and memeberbillia. Also, would you sell that Kirby handheld you got in your last vid? Thanks!
Awesome video Pete! I imported mine and I'm getting mine Monday! I just couldn't wait! Cx
Looking forward to getting one of these bad boys. Probably going to be my next big purchase!
Man Pete one thing I have to ask is where do you find the time? I mean between work and life in general I have barely any time to play video games. I know you said you were in school and you are doing these videos plus playing games and reviewing geez!!!!
@BalAfrrRe According to Sony Ruin does not fall within the official launch window.
Hey pete i dont really get whats so good about touch my katamari..like what are you really supposed to do just try to accomplish that shape and thats it? or is there something is to it?
Pete, You are always a big help my friend. New Subscriber, glad to have your direction.
@ShawShank503 thats not a very fair arguement, if the cube released a year earlier, it would definiately be up there. and the ds sold double the psp. so theres that.
Can you make an updated tour of your game room?
I will pick up a Vita once a few RPGs are released for it, the PSP was a beast in that category.
ModNation Racers, Little Big Planet & Hot Shots Golf are all games I will get eventually, but that week is all about WipEout (and Twisted Metal PS3).
isnt gravity rush a launch game ?
cause im getting a wifi ver since its $350 in australia
it limits me to getting two games just gravity rush and lumines (loved lumines plus on ps2)
Im getting a Vita because there's so many great games that I want to play on it. I will probably get a 3DS once they include the another circle pad in the design. Camera control is very important to me.
Pete, ive waited almost 4 months for you to make a video discussing the vita. Im punped i reserved the first edition bundle. I get it a week early
@MrJr0mz Thanks!
In Japan, Disgaea 3 was also a launch title. I wonder if it will come to America.
Resistance: Burning Skies ( two analog sticks, Sweet.. ).
Unit 13.
Dungeon Hunter, and
Uncharted.
hey man thx alot :) im excited to can you tell me what site you got the list of games please ??? thx
On 22nd Motorstorm RC will come out too. Sony said it will be on PSN on day one.
Army Corps of Hell actually has a lot of Pikmin staffers working on it. Was sadly also pushed back to late March at it he earliest.
Are u getting all the games day one like u did for the 3ds
Some people are really going to like the back touching. Imagine playing mario with the backtouch? epic!
You to remember the 3DS started off slow in Japan when it first launched as well....even the PSP was outselling it....but look how its doing today compared to when it launched. Give the Vita time and with bigger game releases the sales should increase.
ive ordered the wifi model but in the uk we are getting hardly any games on launch
Not sure if I want one on launch (focusing on 3DS), but if I do, then definitely Gravity Rush, Escape Plan, and maybe Little Deviants.
is pete going to buy all the games again?
right now im kind of iffy with the handheld. maybe ill get it if they make an okami game. that will make good use of the touchscreen!
@BalAfrrRe the 3DS was also $250, had no Mario game, and many features were not active. Only when the price was dramatically cut and software made available did sales boost. And it was Holiday season. Hell, I bought two of them. The Vita will not benefit the same. I'm worried.
They were launched two weeks ago in hong kong
gotta be honest, im not feeling the vita like i was the 3ds, but i'll wait to see what games will come out for it, the launch games aren't doing much for me personally though.
@Epsio0 or do some research since a few are already out in Japan, and therefore have previews or reviews on gaming journalism sites
@Sendarian1
I only use my phone for calling. Why? Because it was invented to that purpose. When I want to play games on the go, I use my handheld consoles such as the Game Boy, Nintendo DS and PlayStation Portable. :)
im not sure if im gonna pick this up day one or just wait a month or 2. But i can say i will get this day one, only thing is i got a few games i still wanna finish and get the 3ds resident evil coming out that month too
dude your a cool guy, def going to sub to you and keep hearing from you.
Here are the games im getting for the vita in order of when im getting them
1. Little Devients (comes with the bundle)
2. Uncharted: Golden Abyss
3. Lumines Electronic Symphony
4. Super StarDust Delta
5. WipEout 2048

Awesome vid Pete!
Like most new systems, I won't ne picking it up until the game library gets better, there aren't really a lot of titles they appeal to me, but as always I wait until the first price drop.
Lumines II is worth it for Heavenly Star alone. amazing song.
@hypersonic1337 ya, and i don't think the gamers that buy games digitally would have enough space. They would need to buy more than one 32gb card since each game is like 2gb and there might be DLC.
@PeteDorr day 1 pre-orders and dungeon hunter and wipeout, so many others on launch and that have been announced look great though, hope lord of apocalypse gets an English translation it looks like fixed version of lord of arcana
can you do a top 10 psp video games now that the vita is going to replace the psp.
There are some great rpgs on the system
I just bought a PSP 3000 last month. I think I'll wait another 7 years to pick up the Vita and buy all of the games for $5.00 a piece like I'm currently doing with the psp.
Very informative. I haven't researched it any and this is the first I've heard of any of the Vita launch titles, so I appreciate your video.
FWIW though, "corps" is pronounced "core", not "corpse". :^p
I plan on getting the bundle with Little Deviants and im also plan on getting Uncharted Golden Abyss.
I've got a 3ds and i'm getting a vita too because i like to play games a lot.
ninja gaiden sigma plus just announced as a launch title too
@Rec0nLuk3 a lot of the launch titles aren't out in Japan. and monster hunter 3D or 3G, whatever, just came out for the 3DS. it's also more expensive in Japan, in relativity to the yen. there are a number of factors.
Great vid pete!
This guy is awesome. Thanks to him I bought the ps vita.
@thomasmovesinc Haha, not at all that would be ridiculous.
What do you think about the Wii U?
Launch games.
1. Uncharted GA
2. WipEout 2048
3. Ninja gaiden sigma plus
4. Little Deviants (with bundle)
Launch Window.
1. Gravity Rush
2. Unit 13
3. Silent hill book of memories
I'm getting the first edition just to get the vita a week early, i don't even care about the 3G lol
Hate to disapoint you about unit 13, but i put a ton of hours into socom 4's online and unit 13 looks identical to socom's animation. Best launch lineup still is the Sega Dreamcast, nothing could ever beat that lineup.
@KokoaShuzen if you like ports then youre right the lineup is massive. I Stand corrected...lol
Escape Plan looks quite interesting
@TiipX I highly doubt it.
Ninja Gaiden is well known for its hardcore difficulty on the Xbox I really hope they wont dumb it down for the Vita
What do you gonna do with al that games, if you die? :s Answer plz
I am going to be getting Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Rayman Origins, Little Deviants (in the bundle) and Escape Plan.
If you pre-order the PS Vita launch kit ($300) at Best Buy in Canada you get Uncharted for free! Awesome deal. Cancelled my pre-order at Gamestop.
Seems like it has better release games than the 3DS but i've never bought a sony product and I don't plan to change that any time soon.
i was gunna get a wifi day one but changed my mind, now freakin sony has me thinkin about getting a 3g model cause of that limited edition bundle they just announced.
I'm very, very excited for the PS Vita! :D
Can't decide between umvc3 or resistance
I can't wait for the Vita preordered the First Edition Bundle yesterday!!! Along with Uncharted!
If Pete's excited, I'm excited.
i really dont plan on buying a Vita, but i know Pete will be in line for that shit
Katamari I will probably purchase in the future sees how I haven't played/own one since number 2 on the PS2. Gravity Rush is a must buy though
@STLCreeper yea u have to pay 30 bucks a month to AT&T i was going to get it but now I'm only going to get the wifi 1
@wateverwill you should have bought a PS3 if with the PS1 and 2 you were looking for first party titles
need a price drop" will purchase when it comes down to around £150-180(with out sd card). right now £240 is just way too much" is almost US$400
Dynasty Warriors is completely gone from even the launch window period. Gravity Daze is a US launch title now though.
@Geocoolerthenyou I would not trust what you seen or heard since that is not offical dates
