Hearing Pete, Gamester81 and MetalJesusRocks talking about and discussing the new consoles was awesome. And at the end of the episode Pete talked about his Skylanders hype, that part was hilarious. Pete you are a true gamer's gamer. You're one of the few people basing your opinion on the actual games rather than the features or how the systems are being advertised. Just because PS4 is being marketed as a more "pure" gaming machine doesn't change the fact that it has inferior games atm and likely will until late next year and that's coming from someone who's favorite IPs are playstation exclusives.

Thats not the point...He first starts off by saying PS4 "ONLY has 3 exclusives". Xbox one has 3 exclusives...PS4 has 3. Pretty stupid first statement. Fair enough he said Xbone has "better" exclusives for him but he actually mentioned the PS4 only has 3. Knack > Ryse Killzone 3 > Dead Rising 3 Forza 4 > Forza 5 I love forza but its hardly any different to 4. Not even any night racing or wet tracks (rain). I wouldn't call that a great launch title just the same game with better graphics (same with FIFA's). Ryse does not have better graphics than Killzone 3 (he said Ryse has the best graphics in all launch games for both consoles). Not to mention the 1080p vs 720p games and the price of each console. At the moment everyone knows the PS4 is better because its just the same but way cheaper. If they released a X1 with no kinect for the same price as PS4 then you have zero complaints. It's simply a personal preference. Oh FYI studio have the PS4 for £315(no game) with delivery for people in the UK. Cheapest the X1 I have found is £430 (no game). That's a £115 difference.
klarkus dude, I won't even argue about PS4 vs Xone exclusives, because the PS4 lineup is simply a joke. Don't get me wrong, I will buy a PS4 over the Xone because of Uncharted etc in 2014-15, but comparing PS4s launch games against the variety of Xone (even though most of the games except Forza 5 aren't that good) makes your comment weak. Especially the "Forza 4 > Forza 5" point shows a lot, you are using a X360 game to show that Forza 5 isn't special because there is no game in PS4 library to compete against that. Pete is in my oppinion right, the Xone is superior when it comes about the games at this point because it simply offers more. We know that later on this won't be the case anymore, since Sony had always the better exclusives, but right now....
In fairness though I can understand why that is. It's not very objective, its a subjective impression. I mean saying Ryse is the best looking launch game is a very bold claim and we know Pete likes the game and obviously we're more inclined to praise media we personally enjoy. The problem is that its not an objective statement. Just as much as Pete may enjoy the UI on Xbox One, people at IGN have criticised the UI as being cumbersome to navigate using the controller. However he admits on multiple occasions that are different views on the matter, just like how he says Ryse has had mixed reviews etc So yeah people need to calm down. Remember it's his opinion and it will be different from the next person.
yeah i love having Nintendo games in HD finally! I feel as though the system is a very slight improvement on the 360/PS3. Anti Aliasing is really good on the Wii U for example. I also love the Gamepad. The novelty of being able to play Console games on that screen is really nice. Talking to friends on skype on the PC while playing on the gamepad is great MiiVerse is a really great feature. I love seeing the posts in Mario Bros as well as the Tingle Bottles in Wind Waker. Its just a fun little thing that makes Single Player Games feel more Social in an unobtrusive way. More games need to come though for sure. In that way Nintendo really dropped the ball. The Wii U is a fantastic piece of hardware and the Games there are fun. If it had the games earlier I think the Wii U would be in a very strong position to compete. I mean it even has something similar to Xbox One's TV stuff.

Great video Pete, I feel the exact same way about my Xbox One, PS4 just hasn't given us the exclusives to play the system much right now, I haven't turned mine (PS4) on in about 3 weeks now. Microsoft had a great strategy with their next gen system and releasing a ton of great system exclusives on launch. Its really paying off for them right now.
How do you keep your games clean all the time? I have 400 and while I don't have to "clean/dust" a lot it's still takes time whenever I'm doing it. Thinking it should be worse for you having that many games etc.
I'm just going to stick to the WiiU, 3DS and retro and then in a year I'll make my decision on whether to buy the PS4 or Xbox One based on their libraries.

What about Contrast, Warframe, Blacklight Retribution, Flower, Sound Shapes, Escape Plan.. Aren't they all Sony PS4 launch exclusives too? Ryse is all graphics and no gameplay, but it does show off the graphics capabilities. I had high hopes for Killer Instinct, but I was a bit let down on it. Maybe when they add all the characters it will appeal more. I don't know. Knack on the PS4 is just OK, however Resogun and Killzone SF are both incredible, and to think these games will only get better is a good thing.
Contrast, Warframe and Blacklight Retribution are available on Steam and Flower, Sound Shapes and Escape Plan are available on PS3/Vita. I wouldn't call them exclusives.
I got Disney Infinity for my little sister for Christmas and i actually got really into it. My dad also got into it as well. I'm probably going to get Skylanders for my Xbox One now
for launch line ups none of them really reached out to me like I bought knack but meh it was what I expected I didnt start buying games till like august/september for the ps4 now I cant stop buying games.with the xbox one I was just looking forward for sunset overdrive and Halo MCC and MCC just really bummed me out that is didnt work.

Wow I didn't knew there were so many microtransactions on XB1 games. I definitely don't like that... So with Crimson Dragon if you don't pay them extra money you don't get all there is?
I cannot agree on the bumpers of the new controller, you cannot press them with the fingertips when you're holding it, they only move on the outside, which really sucks, I love the 360 controller.
You know that almost all Xbone games are in 720p and PS4 does use native 1080p. Ryse is beautiful game, in 720p. But The Order: 1886 is stunningly beautiful game.

Also it's funny how everyone is bashing Forza for the microtransactions but GT6 goes right under the radar with their 120 dollar ingame cars. Forza had microtransactions where you could buy the cars in Forza 4 aswell, this is nothing new so I don't get why it suddenly such a shock to people. If you people stop using the micro transactions they will stop putting them in games. It's the customers fault that we are getting more and more microtransactions. You the customer are actually using these features and thats why they keep putting them in. Vote with your wallet that way it wont be profitable to put in those features. Traded my x1 in for a ps4. Loved everything about it except the graphics, the 720p, the framerates. I do miss it but I'm very happy with my ps4 and the ability to easy pop in a 2tb sshd
Lol all the PlayStation fanboys commenting hating on the video, saying killzone3 (a last gen game) has better graphics than ryse and the the xone only has 4 exclusives, isn't it 7.. (ryse, forza, deadrising,lococycle,crimson dragon and peggle2 oh and killer instinct) to the ps4's 5 games.. (killzone shadowfall, flower, knack, resogunp and there's probably one more I'm missing) Xone has the better games at the moment, both consoles have good controllers and both consoles play games pretty well too, don't see why you need to attack the other console and someone sharing his opinion with you.
I have both systems as well. So far I have been liking the PS4 more though. Ryse is a great game and the graphics are amazing but I feel killzone is about the same for best over graphics
For games i think he likes Xbox One better. But overall i think he likes the PS4 better as a system since he does not seem to enjoy the kinect too much.

I love the Xbox One so far. And I'm extremely excited for Ryse. PS4 doesnt have any appealing exclusives at the moment but I may have to pick one up when The Order comes out - I really hope that game turns out well
People have been complaining about the hardware problems with the PS4. I've had it for over 2 weeks and so far, I've had no hardware problems myself. The only problem I've had is the lack of games. I do plan on getting Knack despite the poor reviews, since I'm an open minded gamer and I'm willing to give it a chance before making a final judgement. As for the Xbox One, I think I'll pass until or if they remove the Kinect from the bundle. And even then, I'm running out of space to put consoles, let alone ones the size of VCRs!
I have a ps4, but have to admit ryse really excites me and blows me away graphically. When I do get an xbone, i wil get that with it (and ryse will probably cost 10 bucks by then lol)
Yep Xbox has way better launch exclusives... and thats why I bought Xbox One! Loving it at the moment. KI3 is amazing! Ps4 needs games. And not ports of ports. Waiting for the order and Uncharted 4.
I wasn't a racing game fan since Need for Speed Most Wanted...Forza 5 converted me back to a racing game fan and I don't feel it's hard to ear points to unlock new cars I wasn't even done with the first couple categories of the game and I could almost buy the most expensive car on the market. don't forget that the game studies how you drive and uses that to race against other people that are driving in career as well so you earn points while your not even playing.

I think most people miss the fact that once you set up your xbox one, unplug the Kinect and put it away. It does not have to be plugged in.
Why did you get any Day One edition of the games?
Because I bought them at Toys R Us to get a $50 gift card and that is all they had on release day.
Ryse is a complete QTE driven game...

If you people stop using the micro transactions they will stop putting them in games. It's the customers fault that we are getting more and more microtransactions. You the customer are actually using these features and thats why they keep putting them in. Vote with your wallet that way it wont be profitable to put in those features. Anyway great video Pete and it was nice to see what you thought about both consoles.

Traded my x1 in for a ps4. Loved everything about it except the graphics, the 720p, the framerates. I do miss it but I'm very happy with my ps4 and the ability to easy pop in a 2tb sshd

Lol all the PlayStation fanboys commenting hating on the video, saying killzone3 (a last gen game) has better graphics than ryse and the the xone only has 4 exclusives, isn't it 7.. (ryse, forza, deadrising,lococycle,crimson dragon and peggle2 oh and killer instinct) to the ps4's 5 games.. (killzone shadowfall, flower, knack, resogunp and there's probably one more I'm missing)
Xone has the better games at the moment, both consoles have good controllers and both consoles play games pretty well too, don't see why you need to attack the other console and someone sharing his opinion with you.
I have both systems as well. So far I have been liking the PS4 more though. Ryse is a great game and the graphics are amazing but I feel killzone is about the same for best over graphics

For games i think he likes Xbox One better. But overall i think he likes the PS4 better as a system since he does not seem to enjoy the kinect too much.

I love the Xbox One so far. And I'm extremely excited for Ryse. PS4 doesnt have any appealing exclusives at the moment but I may have to pick one up when The Order comes out - I really hope that game turns out well

People have been complaining about the hardware problems with the PS4. I've had it for over 2 weeks and so far, I've had no hardware problems myself. The only problem I've had is the lack of games. I do plan on getting Knack despite the poor reviews, since I'm an open minded gamer and I'm willing to give it a chance before making a final judgement. As for the Xbox One, I think I'll pass until or if they remove the Kinect from the bundle. And even then, I'm running out of space to put consoles, let alone ones the size of VCRs!
I have a ps4, but have to admit ryse really excites me and blows me away graphically. When I do get an xbone, i wil get that with it (and ryse will probably cost 10 bucks by then lol)
Yep Xbox has way better launch exclusives... and thats why I bought Xbox One! Loving it at the moment.

I wasn't a racing game fan since Need for Speed Most Wanted...Forza 5 converted me back to a racing game fan and I don't feel it's hard to ear points to unlock new cars I wasn't even done with the first couple categories of the game and I could almost buy the most expensive car on the market. don't forget that the game studies how you drive and uses that to race against other people that are driving in career as well so you earn points while your not even playing.
