Sam is doing the right thing moving away from where he got in trouble. I was a heroin addict for 10 years all through the 90s. I got clean in the summer of 99 and ended moving to the netherlands to keep from going back on the smack. I was clean for 11 weeks and had a relapse 1 night and smoked some heroin. The next day i phoned my mate who was living in Den Haag and asked if i could visit him or id of ended up back injecting. I was there for 4 days and had got myself a job and my friend was more than happy to have a room mate splitting all the bills. I stayed for 11 years and with the money i saved working there (i was making 1300€ a week) i bought a house to rent out and I retired last year at 45 with 5 rental properties as my pension.
I used to be just like these... From the ages of 16 to 26 I spent in the revolving doors of prison, stuck in the same cycle of crime, drugs, unemployment and homelessness.... I didn't care for anyone not even My Life, I thought that way of living was going to be My Life for ever until I found the Love of a Good Women who sorted Me out and completely saved My Life, what Christian said about just wanting to be Loved and wanted is so true and when You've never had it You become so angry and hate the World and everyone in it.... My partner showed Me that Love I never had and now Years later We have 3 Children and a Job I've had for nearly 8 Years, We are a normal Family!!!! So it can be done....
I'm actually extremely disappointed to see that Christian was arrested 2 days after the end of filming, and is now serving an 8 year prison sentence. The end of this episode really gave me hope for him, but throughout you can just tell he's hanging by a thread. He was SO close, and I mean soo close.. Painful to see what could've been just washed away in what was most likely a 60 second snatch and grab.
Reece still acts like a boy and has the attitude of one and doesn’t seem to realise that this is real life now and needs to start acting differently. With Christian and Sam though it’s completely different, they see they need to make changes to feel better and start a good life

Painkillers,,, Ive had the exact same problem and couldn't walk without crutches, went hospital they said that I may of broken my back and to come back for a MRI scan in a week, I said how do I get home (8miles) away, and they said "walk" so they injected something into my thigh bone and 20mins later I was able to walk home, Been taking codeine and tramadol ever since
I see a lot of people like these guys, some make it, most don't. I am really pleased for the guy who lived in Notts and got himself together. I wish him all of the best in life. For the others, please do not dismiss good chances and try to find something you enjoy that can occupy that space that your habit or stealing previously took. I am not defending thieves as I cannot stand them, but when you get given a legitimate chance to make something better you should take it.
