I’d like to thank Mr. Richard Betts for writing Rock and Roll’s greatest instrumental song.. it’s so great that it’s still being re-interpreted 50 years later..
Jorma, Warren, Marcus! What a night! At 73 I worked and listened for years as a ABB fan, but now…live in the Rocky Mountains, sitting here with my dogs, drinking coffee, little pot, fully listening to my favorite people. As it turned out, life has been very good to me. Rock on guys!
@@debbiewheat2573 ..i agree, about the Band and that Susan has gotten more refined, skillful and her voice well...bam!! But she needs her guy and all the others behind her...there is no other way. 🌿
I have noticed that Susan has brought her guitar playing more to the front stepping out and taking more leads I noticed this first when I saw them this summer in Winston-Salem NC on the fireside tour I think that without the horns they needed her to step up and fill that void and she did and it has maybe restored a confidence in he guitar skills she has always been a skilled player but I did hear her say in an interview once that she lacked confidence in her guitar ability she said in that interview that she was 25 before she ever played a lead on stage .all that being said im glad to see them back in full force I love the horns I love hearing Alecia and Mark along side Mike and I'm so glad that they were able to fill the drum and bass positions with top shelf talent and Gabe has been doing awesome on keys now for I guess 2 years he had big shoes to fill and he is filling them out very well he is as talented as they get
@@brucebennett1442 I saw Susan solo back in early 2000s and she was doing great with her guitar playing then. I think with Derek's talent she felt she was lacking or at least that his talent was so huge that her skills were not that needed which is not the case.
I’m 67 years old now and sadly admit that I never heard of, or listened to, TTB OR Warren Haynes until very recently. I’m really impressed with just about everything they play - as a duet, or on their own! So much so that I checked Ticketmaster about a week ago for both of them to see if either had an upcoming concert and got lucky! I snatched 2 front row A center floor/stage seats for TTB’s concert in NJ this March! Hope they play this one along with ‘Midnight in Harlem’, which is my all time favorite of theirs! ❤ Would be thrilled if they had Warren show up as a ‘surprise’ guest - fingers crossed 🤞 they will!
You really need to find an old version this is great, but... I can honestly say I've heard 3 versions of ABB do this song, in Macon, Ga...yes, life is good...
Wow! I'm crying right now!!! Good, happy and blessed tears!!!! Thanks to both of you!!!!!!!!!!! Love to you 2! Amen my sweet Jesus!!!! xoxoxoxo 💞💞 1234❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐
Is there someone at the door of the beacon saying “papers, please?” “I’m sorry sir, your papers seem to be not In order.” Boy, if anything exemplifies the spirit of the Allman Brothers Band, that is surely it!
Having seen so many ABB shows at the Beacon, it's as if you are in an induced trace state....you are flying out of your body as the music cycles on itself. Best way I can put it...
Dont know what Amp Warren has been given , but that is Klon sitting on top of it,. explains the "dirt" when he cranks. Great version, its great to keep this music history alive.

Yes, of course! And I would like to thank edtyre for his work. Friend of HO, greetings from Germany!
And to his son Duane for continuing the family biz w/Greggs son Devon in Allman Betts Band!! Saw them live this spring and they were great!!
I wonder if he new instantly what he had written was the greatest all time instrumental rock song ever he had to he just had to
Absolutely the truth. Ever since I first listened to my dad’s Fillmore East record back in high school, nothing I have ever listened to compares.
50 years ago!? Shut the front door!!

Susan and Derek have created a force to be reckoned with!! Most talent in one band together. Susan has taken the rein, her voice is better than ever.

Right On. When he hit the pedal....It was tone city.

Derek and Warren apart, Gabe Dixon on the Hammond was on fire. Loved it all.

Omg, had no idea that Dickey wrote that one-- it is 🎺 truly unique and easily a G.O.A.T solo and guitar--driven tune that Sparks the imagination ❤

I am surprised the Beacon didn't spontaneously burst into flames during this, absolutely incredible...actually it was incendiary, INCENDIARY lol
I would have loved to hear Miles Davis interpret "Reed". Miles' hand prints are all over Allman Brothers' jams. I Love this Stuff!!

30 years from now they will be scratching heads trying to realize what we were saying 30 years prior! TTD is where it's at!
how do people in the audience even hold it together when this greatness is happening live right in front of them?
