The song already does give you the feeling of someone being there, this is a nmi mod. And plus cutting the kid off and getting some random notes out of nowhere is already too generic, I'd imagine it'd be a cluster fuck of code just to add one detail to the first 30 seconds of the 4 minute song. Both note section being on stage makes a lot more sense, as long there is a feeling of "who is there?" Rather than "WHAT is there?". Based on my experience, I believe...
everything about this is so good at reflecting such a strong feeling of fear and panic. great work to all of you. i like the corridor perspective effect you added when the song transitions. it helps add to that feeling, like you're looking into a bottomless pit. maybe you could exaggerate the depth of the room on the zoom-in so it feels more intimidating during NMI's lines? or maybe you could animate the spiral effect or make it more like the giygas battle in Earthbound so it feels more like your eyes are being sucked in and the world is melting around you also i think the note contrast could be improved slightly, would make it a bit easier to read them while the bg is also dark-red

The timer seems a wee bit pointless in this, but a thought does come to mind. Either around when NMI is revealed, or at the end of the video, the clock starts slowly ticking backwards counter-clockwise to symbolize how you're slowly running out of time. I dunno, a dumb idea, but could be good.
When I originally started redoing the original Deathbed code I had that, I didn't do it here since this isn't the full song and I cba to time the clock perfectly for a small WIP
if I can be honest I think the vhs effect should stay for the rest of the song. The way the screen effect increases as the bip of the heart monitor happens only to shrink down really adds to the visual. Also how it moves slightly with the lyrics. Makes it as if our vision if getting distorted from the effort of us singing and from our heart beating. Idk just think it looks cool. Also in v1 of this song NMI would only be distorted visually as it zoomed in. That looked really cool and with the whole like spiral effect behind him I think it would look very cool here as well.

I enjoy the effects whenever nmi speaks, but I really feel this is a slight downgrade to v1, don't get me wrong, its very clear that it simply isn't my cup of tea, I don't like the instrumental having more of a slow feel, although the new instruments added in makes up for it, and then it doesn't have the same intensity in terms of the instrumental, and I am quite sad about nmi's transformation during the blackout being leftout, but its still a wip so who knows, but onto the good stuff, y'all killed it with the new vocals, they have more emotion, loving nmi new vocals, and oh man the effects whenever its nmi turn, makes him a lot more overwhelming and intimidating.
