@@ObscureMics both. Cheap though is operative. Case in point I tried that Neat Bumblebee II - Professional Cardioid Directional USB Condenser Microphone and the noise was so bad I could not bear it. There was not any of that noise in your video

Your video gave me a lot of suggestions!!! Thank you very much. Regarding the monitoring volume adjustment function, I think it should adjust the volume of the computer background music. Nowadays, I see that many microphones adjust the background music instead of the headphone output.
That is exactly what it does, as ixtech reached out to explain...its unfortunate that the manual mentions live monitoring, as thats the term used to monitor your voice

There is a theory i accidentally found on an online forum from 2012 that Heil mics, american company, who makes only expensive high end mics are actually chinese OEM mics. If you google it there pictures of chinese or japanese mics that look the same as PR35 (and other models) externally and internally. What I didnt find is anyone comparing them. I find it a very interesting true crime unsolved mystery.
I could subscribe to that theory, cause at the end of the day...not a lot of companies make their own dynamic capsules. And Heils to me....sound like cheap capsules
@@ObscureMics I really like the PR35 (from what i see in youtube videos) and it is one of the most recommended mics for low male voices on reddit. I was just looking for something with extended low frequency to replace sm58, saw this and decided to share with you because those obscure forgotten OEMs are potentially 30$ mics with the sound of a 350$ highly recommended rebranded mic. But probably impossible to find nowdays. Just interesting.
It's hard to beat a 58 on male voice for the same money. If you do, it probably won't be with a Chinese-made USB mic.

At the $45 price point one could do a lot worse. A whole lot worse. Personally, if that were the target budget, I would be looking pretty hard at the Fifine K669D. Of course, that is providing I had an interface to use a dynamic mic or the budget to get one. Always look forward to your real world, straight forward, reviews. Thanks for sharing Bark.

To me the Fifine AM8 is nearly impossible to beat at its price point. Just keep it on a stand or boom, because you don’t want to touch it while speaking through it.

Looks like a Blue Sona, but sounds familiar. Makes me wonder if is another SL40 variation. The capsule mesh has the same finish that the tonor recently reviewed on Level Up, also the buttons options are the same, but just capacitive. What do you think?
The SL40 is way woolier.....so I don't believe it's that at all. It's thinner and more mid forward. I didn't think it sounded like anything in particular that I have recent memory of

Time reading video 3 first min: quality check ok, price when promo more ok, price when no promo between fine and ok, usb xlr, audio headphone jack, cool sensitive button audio up down button ... Seem to be good stuff.
Time reading video 3:23 min: Listening so far, your voice seems to be muted or smaller as if you were more in a box. It’s not the voice I’m used to hearing. Not being an English speaker, I don't think I'll be too influenced by what you say. I'm watching the rest.
Time reading video 5:40 min : reject sound for me seem to be ok, plausive between fine and ok, usb mode for me is a no no. It's not your voice. Don't like it. I don't know the specification until now for the sound. Time to read the next.
Time reading video end: it s ok for the no sound,The fact of not having any sound echoed when you touch the microphone and its "sensitive buttons" is really good.
If this is really true for other people, the problem of not being able to adjust the sound of the headphones connected to the microphone is really more problematic for me if in addition (I think like you), the majority of people will buy it for USB...
If there is no software to control the headset interface... At $90, no I wouldn't buy it, at $45 for the xlr mode, I think that 'I've seen your videos better, for the USB mode, here I have to say more than it only concerns me, but I didn't like the sound in USB mode and the problem of the headphone output which cannot be adjusted or not all the time, bores me. If there was not this problem yes at $45 no if the problem is persistent and well confirmed.
I will try not to give an evaluation point but rather to say if I had to buy it, would I do it. My two-part answer:
- xlr mode: in terms of sound quality for $90 no, for $45 I think for the quality of the microphone (which seems valid) and in terms of sound (tiny and boxy voice) I find that there is better for less expensive or at the same price. And this by taking your own test videos as a reference
- usb mode: no, no minimum software and headphone monitoring problem. No sure and certain at $90 and $45 no for me supported by the problem of adjusting the monitored sound.
My opinion is perhaps a little harsh. But if you're on a low budget for USB, $90 is way too much for the XLR and USB even more so in terms of the feeling I have in terms of sound quality. I don't like your voice on that mic. The 45$ for the USB and the XLR if everything worked... Especially without the software which would help to somewhat resolve the problem of adjusting the monitoring... Nope either.
