My Ender 3 Pro just arrived today. I'm looking forward to seeing what upgrades you do to yours and how they affect the prints, and which ones are worthwhile.

Like what to do once you turn the printer on the menu and what files to download from the files in the sd card I having trouble because I’m a beginner am a visual learner but I haven’t finding any videos that will help me with that process.
I need to know where I can get the phone with which that's so confusing for me to be for me to download my phone where 2 might be under 3 pro because I've been having since since March of last year and I cannot get the phone where because I don't know where to go please let me know thank you
Hello I'm currently having trouble finding a file on my ender3 pro I have a Chromebook and downloaded a stl file onto my SD card and when I put the card into the printer it doesn't come up. Am I doing something wrong?
Hi. You will need to slice the stl file you downloaded, the 3d printer will only read g code files. This video may help out. ruclips.net/video/eXYpFLnrvgM/видео.html
@@3DPrintscape not sure. Just set it up out of the box. Wasn't sure where to go from there honestly. Was able to move the head around with options in the "motion" menu, but had to loosen the golden z axis rod holder because it seemed to be binding. But that's where I'm at!
@@3DPrintscape wanted to preface by saying thanks for replying!... honestly not sure where to start. From all the videos I've watched no one seems to give the steps between setup and first print. I know I need to level the bed and choose a small file to print, but am worried about bed to nozzle height and first layer adhesion. I think I may be getting too much into the weeds to start as I was also researching all different types of filament last night as well.
Rob could you please humour me with this question. The nozzle on my Ender 3 Pro is 0.4 mm so I assume the molten filament is pushed out of this nozzle with a diameter of 0.4. So how can you dictate a layer height of 0.2 in the slicer program. I assume that with the nozzle moving over the bed it elongates the molten filament to less than 0.4. In fact wouldn't the speed of the nozzle directly effect the height of the layer laid down. Not only the speed of the nozzle but the quantity and speed of the filament being pushed by the extruder would also have an influence on the layer being deposited. So I think that to get a final 0.2 layer height there needs to be a very specific set of instructions to the printer. This I assume is in the settings for default printing speed and the x/y axis movement speed. My point is if you change any of these you will not get a 0.2 layer, but nowhere does anything inform of the correlation of layer height, print speed and travel speed. Your thoughts David
Hi. Thats a great question. The .4mm really only impacts the width, not the height. So you can get the .2mm layer height with that nozzle, you just wouldnt be able to get a line width of less that .4. That said, you can only get so low of a resolution with the .4mm nozzle as it can still has limitations on layer height.
Rob, new subscriber here looking to get the pro for my first printer as well. How many different nozzles do you keep in your box? Do you change to different sizes for different prints? Maybe for more details?
HI. Thanks for the sub. I try to just use the one good hardened steel one, the copper/brass ones are crap. I havent printed anything i needed to go smaller than .4mm for.
I just got a second hand Ender 3 pro and can't get it to work. It was my son's printer and he said has printed from it and even came over to try but could not get it to work. I leveled the board as instructions said. I pre-heated everything and tried to print something and the print head leaves the home position and goes up about 4 inches and goes back and forth and the table moves also. I watched it doe this for about 5 minutes, it shows no progress so I cancel the print. I tried the batarang print and it seems to be working, but nothing is coming out.
@3DPrintscape the nozzle is new I just replaced it. I pulled out all the filament and re-did it and it's now working. My first print was the batarang. It printed in the front left corner and off the plate. I then did the dog, twice. One time the print came loose of the plate and was being dragged all over the plate. The second time the printer just stopped halfway through. All three prints were terrible with gaps and blobs. I set the heat to what the filament manufacturer said, 200 for nozzle and 60 for the table. I have not been able to print anything from the internet.
@3DPrintscape I will try the default answer but I actually got it to print the supplied dog. There were several issues. One, was the table needed to be cleaned and the filament actually got caught up on part of the printer. But I am still having problems printing stuff from the cloud.
