Idk how it is for your Amazon but I work at Amazon and they told me that you have to get a blue badge and after you get your blue badge you have to be a blue badge for at least 90 days and then they can cover for your trucking school

I paid $3,800 for my school..don’t give up man I passed my inspection on my first try but failed my skills, then passed my skills on my 2nd try but failed my road test and then finally passed my road test on my 3rd try and got my license you got this man!! 🙏

I paid $1800 for the school I joined which was the cheapest I could find here in the Fresno area.

I have my dmv appointment next week 🤞🏾let’s hope I pass and I can get my license, I signed up the last week of August so if I pass my test next week that would mean that I was able to get my license in about 7 weeks. But it all depends on the person if you really apply yourself and have time to be there all day I’m pretty sure you can get it sooner but I have a full time job which limits the time I can be there but honestly it felt super fast. Right now they have a sale going on for $1750 according to their Instagram. Good luck and if you signed up mentioned my name so I can get a $100 referral fee 😂😂

Hitting the road this weekend after passing training 🤠 i got mine in MS and everything was handled and comped by the carrier im working for here. i had my physical cdl in 3 weeks but training took 6(could take 4 if your trainers truck dont break 🤦🏼♂️) The easiest way to just get into it and get working right away are the bigger carriers. Even if you go through a school youll likely end up a bigger carrier as a start anyway. Some of them offer everything at half the price of others so look around in your area for those not so well known smaller companies that might hook it up better in pay as well... P.s. your channel was great inspiration and comforting during the sleep deprived training stress test i underwent. Thank you Bria

I was on track to have Amazon put me through the 160 school but the I discovered my local hookup and thought it was the best way to go about it for my situation. Thank you so much for this video! My eldest son has been wanting to get his license but was discouraged due to some trucking schools wanting 5k-10k... I have shared your video with him in hopes it gives him just enough spark to get moving! If anyone knows of reasonable truck driving schools in Sacramento area, and/or northeast of Sacramento, please share! Also, just wondering if any of these driving schools offer payment plans?
One final question for you. As a driver, I always want to be courteous so what are things average motorists can do to be courteous to you - the truck driver. Is it just common sense or are there things that really are important that are not so obvious? Thanks again!
The most important thing is to give the trucks space. Never cut off a truck, especially on the freeway and never be on the inside lane while trucks are making turns on the outer lane.
Also another thing she didn’t mention is that the dmv will also make you retake you class C on top of your class A written tests. So make sure you study for class C too lol

Good question! I had to complete the ELDT while I was in the truck driving school. My driving instructor provided me with the link for the training and I had to complete it before I went to go take my driving test at the DMV. I do not believe they will give you a driving test if you do not have the EDLT certificate within the DMV system. Hope this helps!

That’s good to hear! I’ve never played with truck simulator games other than the arcade style ones that I was put through in company training. I’m sure a truck simulator game can be useful for testing out some driving scenarios.

Did you already get your CDL? But yeah you can do the 3 written test but you won’t get a permit until the DMV receives the DOT so I don’t think it expires because they wouldn’t even give it to you😭

@@briatrucking Some trucks engine will shut off when exceeding hours leaving you stranded. There usually is an override so you can get to a place to pull over long enough to reset your hours., I believe that what was meant by Automatic restriction.
What you are referring to is the automatic idle shut down that is a feature on a lot of trucks. The automatic restriction has to do with what type of transmission you are able to drive. If you learn on an automatic transmission, then you can only drive an automatic and not a manual.

You can call around your area just search for “CDL schools near me” and some offer payment plans or even a huge discount when paying cash
Your son can also get his school payed for by a mega carrier school such as swift or Amazon
Lol you went to the SMF5/7 warehouse. I used to work there and reget not getting on TOM TEAM so I could get my CDL. 😂

I’m not sure about the percentage, but I know that a lot of schools still have them. Probably for the purpose of not having the automatic restriction.
The reason the truck schools make you take your CDL and you learn in stick is so you're not restricted to only automatic

I believe that you get 3 tries for each test before you have to pay the fee again.

So you need the physical before the knowledge test? Or the knowledge test is 1st??
Physical first. You can take your tests without it, but the DMV will ask you for it before handing you the permit. Apologies for any confusion!
