A few times in one's life do we come across a singer/musician whose skill at their craft bridges the gap between indie/obscurity and near stellar uberfame... And you sit in awe at their talent and wonder why...WHY doesn't everyone know about this amazing artist?!? Lauren rides upon the cusp of this gulf. Wow. So tremendous! I came to visit this video to see if anyone remembered only to find a plethora of you who have all come to do the same! For me this is where a lot of my love for music started. Right around the time while I was learning the drums I found this video and was enamored by someone who could so casually play all the instruments in a wonderful arrangement. It led me down a long winding road of learning my craft and expanding and so so so many things bring my mind right back to this video.
All of your songs and projects like My terrible friend which led me to finding about pomplamoose and Jack and patreon and all that good stuff- for me it all comes back to Lauren O'Connell white noise.

Hey Lauren, I just wanted you to know how in love I am with this song. I first heard this song randomly searching youtube when I was 13, and fell in love with it from the beginning. I have remembered it throughout all these years, and I am now a freshman in college. This song is so beautiful and now that I am more internet friendly, I will definitely listen to what other beautiful, talented, and creative art you make.

One of my top three favorite moments in life was having the flu sitting at my dining room table with a blanket around me, working on a scenic 1000 piece puzzle, looking out the window onto orange-leaved trees all while listening to this song. Whatever year this appeared.....it should be song of the year ; THE song of the year.
I used to react to these incredible RUclips artists like everyone else and wish with all of my heart for them to 'get noticed and become famous' because I felt that they truly deserved it. Then I realized that I was stuck in the mindset of old media. The internet has transformed the relationship between artist and listener in a way that I absolutely LOVE. Lauren has funded her next album through her fans directly. She doesn't need record label contracts, just pure love for and from her fans.
