hey Kev, if you ever run into that problem again in the future you need “shock” to easily separate the tank from the stand. have someone push on the front of the tank while you hit THE STAND with a rubber mallet from the opposite side. literally one good smack and it’s free lol. and congrats 🎉 on the new room, it’s gorgeous!!
The reason i love kavemanaquatics. Is really shows the dirty side of this hobby, the sweat, the dark side, the hard moments. No other youtubers shows that. Yes this hobby is hard. Not everything is perfect.
I was feeling for you my brother. That was some back-breaking work. Congrats on the new home, the renovations look awesome. I’m sure the fish room is 💯🔥.
Great video. Great channel. Really informative. I know at some point im going to have to move my tanks. It’s something im not looking forward to. Keep up the fantastic work
Thank you. Bless you and everyone else who hears "It's JUST a fish" and still continues to do their very best for their fish. This was a great video. Can't wait for part 2!
I just PCS to a new duty station and let me tell you I the last crap I moved was my tank and my fish I painted my house I was renting. It sure was a pain much love and support good job! And great advise as always!
great job kev i know there has been some controversy (IFG) about your tips with Seachem products. But we all know that you have helped out in many hobbyists including me thank you again, again this hobby is about personal experience and in my experience your tips are great
It's like that start of the year is where these fish keepers get a new place. MD Fish Tanks gets a new bigger studio, Serpa Design builds his new animal room, and now Kaveman Aquatics is moving to his new fish room. Looking forward to see new content from these guys.
I just wanted to Thank You so much for helping me learn about how to Cycle my tank. Your shorts and videos have literally helped me so much. Please never stop educating! I appreciate you and your amazing videos. 🪷
bruh! 🤣 I dont even know why I asked, it was an impossible task! Up till 5am last night for this shorter version. But I think it was the best route for 2 better quality videos!
Some of this reminds me of what I went through almost a year ago when I upgraded from a 30 to a 53. That process took about three and a half hours since I the new tank occupies the same spot as the old.
I know what you mean bro, I have a video on that kind of upgrade too, swapping a new tank where the old one used to be. We must really love this hobby! 🤣🤣
Actually your upgrade video was the basis of how I did mine. Instead of totes, I bought around eight five gallon buckets from the local farm supply store to hold my fish and everything else (live plants and rocks) in tank water during the changeover. Definitely something about the hobby. Have had fish for 35 years, starting as a teenager. Yes, I've made mistakes and suffered setbacks but never considered throwing in the towel.
Wow...definitely a day to remember for sure! What a job that was! Your fish room is absolutely amazing! You thought of everything. Can't wait to see part 2. Love your fish room congratulations! You deserve it Kev! Thank you for all you do! You are much appreciated! 😊 ❤❤❤
I can't wait to see the progress and the new additions of the fishkave, I know it's going to be big, we love watching your channel brother 😁 and thanks to all your advice my 80 g cichlid tank is going so excellent 👍🏼
I think what would've made it easier for the tank to separate is to have two people rotate the tank in a clockwise direction while preventing the stand from moving. Kind of what you did in 16:15.
Good to see you back brother. I have to move a 75 into the kitchen next year just to replace carpeting. Not looking forward to it.... And this video demonstrate why! Great prep work on your part. Keep killing man, we love the vids!
One thing you didn't think about is heat. You could've used a blow dryer to warm up the metal and plastic as well as the adhesives. Works everytime. 👍🏾
I'm very new to this hobby, been watching your videos for the last week and have a 80l and a 37l tank and am having to move house on short notice in a few days, both my aquarium's are new, the gravel and filters are already cycled from their previous owners so I'm going to keep the media and gravel in the old tank water so I don't loose much of the beneficial bacteria on them 🤞, I'm gonna keep the water I have in them now to minimise stress, my 80l is a coldwater tank so hopefully that will be abit easier to move my 37l is a tropical tank, luckily I am only moving to a town 30 minutes away so hopefully if I move my tropical fish in the tank water and keep the tank water the temps won't drop too much if I set the tank up as soon as I get to the new house, so yea not too far away so I'm thinking all will go well 🤞
I learned this my first move with tanks and it was hectic moving 6 tanks but it all worked dead perfect so happy my tanks were all on sponge filters to begin with so I just drilled a hole in each bucket lid and ran every bucket off the filters I was using so I never lost a single fish never lost cycle
So important points made about dedicating a day just for the fish. When I moved a year ago we moved the whole house first. Then last thing was all the tanks. One thing I did different was I used 10 inch suction cups for moving my large tanks I found they make life easier.
So I considered the cups but felt it was a risk. After discussing more with my tank supplier he made me feel much better about them. So you, definitely using them for the new tank pgrade!! 😊💪
I truly enjoyed this video, and I am looking forward to part 2! Hard work moving, but it will be worth it at the end. Did you ever find out how that tank got stuck?
Nope! And funny thing is, the heavier 210 gallon tank wasnt stuck at all!! Must be something to do with being by the window and getting more direct heat from the sun that possibly caused the paint from back panel to spread and stick 🤔 Glad you enjoyed the video! Next weeks will be even better!
looking good, brother!....i have a move coming up. I'm not looking forward to it with only having a right arm. i may get the movers to move them, but that worries me even more. keep up the good content
Thats why I did it with my close friends, movers would worry me too much. I'm sure they care more about their back and toes than my tanks! 🤣 Good luck with your move!!
Not adjustable, but yes would still work great even on a salt water set up. You can find all the products and equipment I use and recommend in my affiliate shop 😁 - koji.to/kaveman_aquatics
First Serpa Design did it and now you. I only have a single 10 gallon right now but man, I would not wish this experience on anyone. Cannot even begin to imagine how stressful it is. Here's hoping that your move went off without any major issues and that all of your animals are safe in sound in their new home!
I would be freaking out rocking that big tank back and forth like that. And I’m digging the sink in the new fish room, like you said “all fish rooms should have a sink”. I would love to get another monster tank goin for my African Cichlids, unfortunately I don’t have the room for another six foot tank😢
i'm sorry buddy.. But seeing you struggle made my day :P Good to see you got there in the end... can't wait to see the second video mate.. Shoutouts from Australia.. & LETZ GO! :D
