    hey Kev, if you ever run into that problem again in the future you need “shock” to easily separate the tank from the stand. have someone push on the front of the tank while you hit THE STAND with a rubber mallet from the opposite side. literally one good smack and it’s free lol.
    and congrats 🎉 on the new room, it’s gorgeous!!

    The reason i love kavemanaquatics. Is really shows the dirty side of this hobby, the sweat, the dark side, the hard moments. No other youtubers shows that. Yes this hobby is hard. Not everything is perfect.

    I'm very new to this hobby, been watching your videos for the last week and have a 80l and a 37l tank and am having to move house on short notice in a few days, both my aquarium's are new, the gravel and filters are already cycled from their previous owners so I'm going to keep the media and gravel in the old tank water so I don't loose much of the beneficial bacteria on them 🤞, I'm gonna keep the water I have in them now to minimise stress, my 80l is a coldwater tank so hopefully that will be abit easier to move my 37l is a tropical tank, luckily I am only moving to a town 30 minutes away so hopefully if I move my tropical fish in the tank water and keep the tank water the temps won't drop too much if I set the tank up as soon as I get to the new house, so yea not too far away so I'm thinking all will go well 🤞

    So important points made about dedicating a day just for the fish. When I moved a year ago we moved the whole house first. Then last thing was all the tanks. One thing I did different was I used 10 inch suction cups for moving my large tanks I found they make life easier.

    • @KaveManAquatics
      @KaveManAquatics  Год назад

    • @KaveManAquatics
      @KaveManAquatics  Год назад +1

      Nope! And funny thing is, the heavier 210 gallon tank wasnt stuck at all!! Must be something to do with being by the window and getting more direct heat from the sun that possibly caused the paint from back panel to spread and stick 🤔 Glad you enjoyed the video! • @davidwayneprins
      @davidwayneprins Год назад

      Actually your upgrade video was the basis of how I did mine. Instead of totes, I bought around eight five gallon buckets from the local farm supply store to hold my fish and everything else (live plants and rocks) in tank water during the changeover.
      Definitely something about the hobby. Have had fish for 35 years, starting as a teenager. Yes, I've made mistakes and suffered setbacks but never considered throwing in the towel.

    And just to comment on one thing that happened in your video, the stand and the tank that adhered to each other about a 75 gallon salt from a nurse at work and we had to move stand and all because it was not budging in the stand was solid wood. I know you're breaking sweat and your fear of the cracking sound. All too well my friend lol. Great move. Love the video!

      @@KaveManAquatics I'm interested in that pump you used, is it adjustable and would it work foa a saltwater sump system

    • @KaveManAquatics
      @KaveManAquatics  Год назад +1

      Not adjustable, but yes would still work great even on a salt water set up. You can find all the products and equipment I use and recommend in my affiliate shop 😁 - koji.to/kaveman_aquatics
