@Skydio Did you guys just sneak in Waypoints in this latest update?? I was just going through the latest version of the Operator Manual (effective Date: October 5, 2021) and it shows Waypoints on the screenshot on page 26! (wish youtube allowed screenshots in comments, grrrr!) Can't wait to get home today and try out the latest software/app version!!! This is exciting!

I updated my skydio2 and took for a flight around my property checking out the new sky limit and changed return view to forward. During the flight the drone lost control and crashed. I logged into the drone and it said my SD card was full. Uploaded the latest flight info to skydio but it does not have the end crash info due to the card being full. I believe the card ran out of storage and the drone freaked out and lost control. They are reviewing what data is available but I believe it's a glitch in the update. Make sure to remove excess video from your storage cards.

will it work the same as in the video if you also connect the beacon to the picture? Question is if I connect via the phone app, leave my phone on land, go into water activity with the beacon and somehow lose signal or going close to losing battery will the drone go land on the land by my phone or will it stay with me and the beacon on the water?
Hello and good morning! Love yer videos!! Question for you... I own the Skydio 2, with only the beacon (no controller) & we most use it when we are Off-Roading. I'd love to learn how to take if off of motion track, & fly it to a place up the road, & then to drive past it capturing footage almost as if it was placed on a tripod. Do you by chance have any tutorials how-to videos for this function? Thanks so much! Randy
I got the drone in November and version installed is 15.10.0(6). Under Return Behavior, i have only 3 choices. I did not see the option of lost connection ....why?
Great update with lots of useful features packed in! Do all the RTH updates affect Beacon only flights? What happens if you're doing Motion Track with the Beacon (no phone) and lose connection? Can you choose whether Skydio goes back to the last known position or launch point? This is important for over water flying. Thanks!
you really need to add the feature to download a map BEFORE leaving cell/wifi connection. i think many of us would be flying out where there is no cell service, so setting a home point on a map that's non-existent does not work. when my drone crashed in the snow i was unable to find it b/c the app couldn't load a map. (or used saved Google maps from my phone.) please do that. would really help when i lose (often) connection from phone and beacon to drone. Thanks
I plan to experiment, but will it remember a home point if I take the battery out, then hike to the top of the hill, and start it from the top of the hill to follow me down? I wanted to return near the car if I lose it - not sure of memory
Requesting a video dedicated to problem solving the impact of the latest software update (mine came in on early morning October 15, 2021 in western Ireland). For example, the drone no longer recognized the controller and I had to go back to the initial hard cable connection routine to pair the devices anew. There may be other issues as well with this update. A video on problem solving could be helpful.
As with every software update we release, the controller and Beacon must be updated as well. This is incredibly simple and easy for our customers to do, all it requires is powering on your drone and plugging in your controller or Beacon into the drone with the provided USB-C to USB-C cable.
When I connect to drone and open up settings, I don’t see any tab for “Return Behaviour “ settings. Only tab in settings is “Height Floor” NOTE. I have the most recent update. Am I missing something ?
Wish I’d got to see this a week ago.. you should have seen me running to the hill i just rode down because the drone lost me and it returned to take off point 😂😂

Unfortunately, you must have the Skydio app paired to the Beacon and select a Home Point for Skydio 2.

Please make one for the manual mode in the new update, i still don't understand what it does.
It simply removes subject trackers from humans and vehicles for a more clean manual flying experience.

program multi home location option so that Skydio will choose the one that is the nearest
1:23 & 2:52 I can't find these options under 'Drone'. The app says it is up to date.
