    That was nuts! Super impressed by how well the Skydio 2+ was able to recover from that hit. Thanks for sharing!

    Excellent video and explanation of a near crash. Since I own only a Skydio 2 I would never try to fly through the latice work of the bridge's structure and probably would never go under the bridge either, but over the bridge. The Skydio 2 does not have the antennas like the 2Plus and the battery is less strong, as I'm sure you know since you own both models.
    I'm always almost scared to death of crashing both my Skydio 2 and my Mini 2 but the technology is so excellent that I have to use it as much as possible.
    You are a much more experienced and knowledgeable pilot than I am so you can take the chances that I won't attempt, so thank you for doing so.
    I appreciate your videos and keep up the good work.

      Thank you for the kind remarks. The problem with flying over a highway bridge is the flight path may take it over traffic. This is now allowed by the FAA if daylight and if the pilot is Part 107 certified ... which I happen to be. But, I avoid the over traffic flights when I can. Be well. Drone on!

    Whoa. You are sooo lucky. That slow motion part showed how tough it would be to catch real time. Can't believe it flipped over. I am sure you freaked out heart racing white knuckled. I know I would've. Lol. Thanks for sharing. Cheers!

    Thanks for sharing your experience on this flight. While it's scary to watch, your video will likely save someone else a drone.

      Skydio is sort of GoPro that flies ... capable of some stuff that cannot be done with any other consumer product. See, for example: ruclips.net/video/ZogfDM_YX5A/видео.html
      Drone on!

    Would you recommend the Skydio over DJI?

    • @edruttledge342
      @edruttledge342  Год назад +2

      I have owned DJI, Autel and Skydio products. Each has their good points and bad points. The Skydio best fits my needs and has superior build quality. It is also built in the USA (except the batteries) making them less at risk of a US embargo of Chinese built drones (could happen in the upcoming far right House of Reps).

    • @jeffskent
      @jeffskent Год назад +1

      @@edruttledge342 Yeah, bring politics into the discussion of action on the CHIPS Act and never mention the far left members of the House of Reps such as Warren, Sanders, and the Squad.

    • @edruttledge342
      @edruttledge342  Год назад +1

      @@jeffskent Sorry if you saw this post as "politics." It is a fact of the circumstance. Chinese made drones have already been banned for federal agencies and I think that happened under the current administration. And, once the House gets organized, the expectation is that Chinese produced consumer drones could be incur a ban or import taxes. Maybe you know different (?)

    YAWN 🥱 Clearly the instructions say don’t fly next to small wires which were obviously in your path. The low energy narration, long drawn out explanation and club music in the background is an interesting mix. Tune up your video work and quadruple the pace.

      The small wires, as explained, were not particularly visible on the cell phone screen, but show up well in the 4k output on a full screen. But, I accept the "pilot error" aspect of this .... which was part of the message.
