It is the people that make the difference. No big show, just two very natural und sympathetic individuals, excellent footage from an area not often visited and something to dream of. You deserve success.
When I started this channel and I said that it's never going to be popular because it's not the Caribbean so there won't be enough bikinis for clickbait... And there hasn't been too much of that, but I'm glad there's always the opportunity for skinny-dipping! ❄️❄️❄️ PS. A lot of you are watching my videos for the first time, thanks for watching and remember to subscribe if you want to see more sailing in the north! ❄️❄️❄️
So, what if one appreciate both the heavy cod-fishing in Scandinavian waters, and snorkeling with blacktipped sharks in the Caribbean, and all of that sailing in between? 🤔😆🙃
Its hundreds YTs from the tropics.... and also some from these waters - you have Sailing Uma that are sailing there as we speak in the winter - also hight quality but different. It was MJ Sailing - they was too fast... but interesting catamaran building now.... But this is really the best so far...
Hello Juho and Sohvi! So good to see another one of your videos from last summer. The puffins are so adorable and the video is spectacular as always. Kind of special to see Sohvi actually filming and narrating the portion of the adventure at the light house - Thank you - it is great hearing your lovely voice. Looking forward to seeing the content from you both from this year which includes that awesome kite skiing camping trip you and your friends took in Finland. Thanks for sharing! Cheers!
the two of you are refreshing in this world. no whining, opining or self entitlement bs, just living and enjoying the peace, the quiet, love it. coming to you from the sunny caribbean. cheers
63 years old french and rather newbie sailor... But always loved Norway since the age of 6 when I was given a little book of a norwegian fisherman's child who got carried away by a big fish on his line, and landed on Father Christmas island. Dreams are made for dreaming, but they colour our lives. Thank you for sharing the beautiful experiences you live in thgis beautiful part of the world.
Wow! This is so much Norway! Happy you made it to Sklinna, I haven't been there yet but many times on Leka, between Sklinna and mainland. I'm very appreciative you saved the drone flying and didn't interfere with the birds in the wildlife sanctuary. It is indeed a very special place!
I was in Vaasa for Finnish Independance day and we had rented out a cabin by the gulf of bothnia for it. All us guys were in the sauna waiting for it heat up drinking vodka whilst it is minus 15 out side. The girls are in the cabin getting pissed whilst us lads are in the sauna waiting for it warm up drinking. Eventually the sauna was 90C when we left it naked running getting cheered by all the women running in the snow to the sea which was frozen except where it lapped against the shore where it couldn't freeze because of constant lapping against the shore, Jumped in the gap into the water, massive shock to the system, imediately jumped out, whole nervous system reset. It was amazimng. Dried off and got changed. Outside the cabin smoking cigarettes in minus 15 in a tee-shirt just absolutely radiant not cold at all. I wouldn't do that now at 47. But thanks for reminding me of that experience. Kiitoksia paljon. I am half Finnish but lived all my life in London.
hello richard, what a great story! 😆 despite my lacklustre swimming performance in this video, i've done the same as well (swimming in icy water), very refreshing (as soon as you get over the "i'm going to die" feeling) and said to be good for your health..
@@AlluringArctic yes. I definitely notice your music selection in all your videos. Your thought and choice there is appreciated. It makes a big difference too. Well done.
Two young people enjoying their world, and what a beautiful venue it is. Some day I dream to visit Norway, the homeland of my skiing hero, Herman "Jackrabbit" Johannsen. You very much exude the spirit of this great man, and I enjoy your vids very much. Greetings from Ottawa, Canada.
@@AlluringArctic Presumptuous (considering my abilities in the skiing department), LOL, but hey, we must perpetuate the memory of those whom we seek to emulate. I have named all my small camp-cruising sailboats after him - kind of like Eric Tabarly and his "Pen Duick". But that is another presumption...
this was a great video that shows the quiet magic of sailing to these outer islands that you can find all around the Scandinavia Peninsula, including the one in the Gulf of Bothnia, or the north end of the West coast of Sweden. Because of the absence of people, even in the summer, you get to see places nobody else goes to, and you can anchor anywhere, making it magical at night when the sky remains dimly lit with the midnight sun. Juho, sorry to tell you but we need more comments from Sohvi, pls;-) great video...
Hello Juho! Hello Sohvi! An another good footage, thank you!!! I am a great fan of your way of sailing and Norway is definitely on my wish list for sailing adventures!
they are cute, and to be honest I did not know that you can find them so far south on the Norwegian coast (before this we had only seen them far above the Arctic Circle)
THANKS FOR THE VIDEO! YOU BOTH HAVE A WONDERFUL PRESENCE AND IT'S SO RARE THESE DAYS TO WATCH PEOPLE JUST BE? WE REALLY MESSED UP WHEN WE STEPPED OUT OF NATURE! HUMANITY IS SO LOST?
The Norwegian tourism board should be sponsoring you guys. Between you and Sailing Uma I am completely sold on doing a boating trip in Norway sometime in the future. Though I'm not enough of a hard ass to be going skinny dipping in ten degree water, I'll leave that to the young lady thank you very much.
I wish they did, but I think they mostly trust the scenery to sell itself! one thing i'll have to tell you though, skinny dipping is an obligatory part of sailing here, so get ready for that as well 😉
just found your channel today..just wow..so refreshing to see a completely different kind of sailing and adventure destinations..much respect from literally as far south as you can get from you down here in new zealand..p.s.....love the new boat.
Thanks for sharing this part of the world, I hope to visit one day but if I can't then you've given me a glimpse, much appreciated. Also thanks for speaking English, lazy of me not to learn your language but a bit hard to practice in this part of the world.
hi, i also saw your other comment about Newfoundland, I've seen photos and maps and it looks beautiful, would really like to sail there some time as well!

I always wonder where the freshwater comes from on these rocky islands.
In the later years there were wells (very deep ones), but they often get contaminated by sea water (and sometimes also by bird poop etc)
