Sooo what do you think, if you watched the end of the video I talk a bit about concentrating more on the videos. Do you think RUclips will be a good career choice? 😁 Or should I just become a financial analyst?
I am afraid you cannot trust Google to treat you equitably. Remember the women Nasim Najafi Aghdam who had some change in status on her YT account regarding publishing of animal rights content and was extremely frustrated as she was a YT professional and lost the majority of income - so she went into an office cafeteria where Google employees work and used a gun on employees before ending her own life in the offices. Sorry to bring this up as it was extremely unfortunate. The change from Google this week is that the count meter on the "dislike" button has been modified to not show a number count. You might take the "Strong Interest Inventory" to assist you in career choices. Thanks for the excellent videos and I hope you enjoyed the cake on your birthday.
Both! Hi from Portugal! Keep doing both things. Videos are great and you can develop more and more... but as career? to be honest I don't believe, unless you create other projects around video and sailing. One question: What is the brand of that dry suit???
I probably would become financial analyst and having the video making as your hobby. It could become bit tedious and maybe put you off your adventures if you have the pressure of producing videos every week, unless you are really enjoying making theses videos. Although I love watching them as it is completely different to what my sailing is here in warm Perth WA. 😂👍
You need to do you, to be yourself, to follow your passion. I think you should honor your decision as a good one. Yes, it’s a big deal. But it came from the heart. And while you always seem to be wearing a big smile, somehow the joy on your face and in your voice was even bigger and happier when you decided to share your plans with the rest of us. I say go for it.
His laid back persona and the casual mention of the upcoming kite session just makes it so much more metal. First video I've watched and did not see that coming, instantly subbed after that.
@@dont-want-no-wrench .... but definitely much fun. They still could act wise once nearing their eighties, right? Especially these days on our completely crazy world, "wise" is about the least concern when doing anything whatsoever.
Another sailing video without palm trees, sandy beaches and bikinis. This is what sets you apart from the hundreds of other sailing channels. You are showing us parts of the world I will never get to. Thanks.
Earlier on I was watching a narrowboat channel and they were complaining about another boat going over the 4mph speed limit and making their boat rock.... Meanwhile in Iceland it's snowing sideways with surprised looking polar bears and who knows what else flying past the window and he's out on deck telling us it's not as windy as it looks LOL! Love it!
You are a superhero of extreme adventure. Totally amazing. People don't know the work it takes to maintain your kites and strings for a 3 minute video. Wow.
So glad you got away from the suspiciously warm Faroes to a sensible climate where you can hang out on the beach and go kite-surfing - always good to see Finns upholding their reputation!
Thanks a lot for watching! Would you sail in winter? 🤓 PS. Sorry there's couple brief moments where the audio is a bit screwed. I've ordered a new microphone + wind cover for myself as a Christmas gift 😉
Oh what's that? Can't see shit:) would like to ski up there ultimate off piste experience - great stuff- pretty kewl the kite surfing in winter in Iceland crazy you defiantly got warm blood. And pretty hot Sohvi helps so there's that , cheers go for it, get sponsers, joined Helly-Hansen because of u still no newletter from them:( you are excellent spokesperson i should think, cheers from Wisconsin.
You bet. Have been in the arctic. That far north can be really pretty in winter. It's tough and your traveling has to be much more carefully thought though so you don't get into hull icing and such which can quickly be deadly. It's tough and a very small niche who will be interested. There is another couple (Sailing Uma) who have been in the northern country the past year or so. You might also look at the Antarctic in the future. Just the transition will be an adventure. Start talking to some of the cold weather gear companies for sponsorships etc. You're in a hostile environment to do some great testing.
As long as you are close to land and have control of the weather - its ok. But in a small sailing vessel - really bad weather - storms and icing can easy get dangerous very fast.

But just now watching Juho in Iceland after a winter storm hop into his dry suit and explain the hydraulics of the new high-rise foil boards for kite sailing, it occurs that just maybe I don’t need to actually kite surf. Ever. No kite surfing. In the winter. In a storm. In Iceland. So that’s off the list. It’s nice to tidy up the list.

Did an overnight winter sail (January) with a friend, many years ago aboard his 26 ft converted lifeboat turned centerboard motor sailor. Bridgeport Ct. to Cockenoe Island off Westport. Not that far but lots of close hauled tacks due to the typical late afternoon southwest wind direction. Bitter cold sailing but hunkered down with a couple of steaks & a cheap bottle of bourbon in a nicely heated cabin. Watching the headlights of cars zipping along the crystal clear pitch black shore provided our entertainment. Will never forget it. Life was good!

Happy birthday! Just saw your question, yes I plan of sailing the arctic in the future!
Your adventure and the region you cover is amazing. Keep it coming. Kite sailing in the frigid water must be accelerating, thanks for sharing.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY Juho ! stay blessed !!
thank you!
I absolutely love extreme weather, so I enjoyed the snow storm even though it was short-lived..lol
You absolutely amaze me hydrofoiling with a kite in the winter, that's just mind-blowing.
Happy birthday-to-you.
And I like the wish both you and Sohvi a very merry Christmas🎄⛄🎅💖
Thanks

Outstanding Juho! What a couple of adventurers you are. I'm content in my 31deg summer with the air conditioning on to remind me of you northerners. Being at the top of the world, at least you won't fall off the planet, which is a daily hazard of life here in Australia. ;- )
