@@cavemanlawyer5608 It's all that high self-esteem. She doesn't need to get plastic surgery or dye her hair to feel good about herself. She also has one of the very few long-standing marriages in Hollywood. She's a genuinely happy person and it shows.
Saw the original Halloween as a teen. I had not been so scared in my life. My boyfriend was trying so hard to be macho. Yet when it was finally over, we he's not dead yet ringing in our years we clapsed hand and practically ran to the car and locked the doors. Haven't been that scared since. Jamie Lee Curtis is truly amazing.
Me too!! Saw it at the Civic in Auckland at a midnight showing, the theatre was jam packed and we were on the mezzanine.. my best friend grabbed my knee in one of those silent parts where everyone’s holding their breath, I had one eye open and let out a scream that I’ve never made since.. the entire theatre jumped and from the mezzanine you could see it.. felt like every pair of eyes was on me.. Dee was rolling, thought it was hilarious, almost wee’d herself like most everyone around me!
I have grown up watching this woman on screen, cheering her on with her patents, cheering when she published her books....This woman is a legend. I wish her nothing but love, always!
The Awesome Jamie Lee Curtis! Classy, Talented, Beautiful, and Timeless! She grew up with acting in her genes from her parents, but her ability stands out on its own merits.
I was born in 79 and the most hilarious part was knowing she's not Lindsey Lohans mother... But then again her career took off at such a crazy time in Hollywood and New York that she's legit part of studio54.... Lol
6:43 The toilets in my current home aren't as fancy as the ones she describes, but they do have warm seats and squirt water to help cleanse your bottom. Like Jamie, I've gotten so used to them to the point where it now feels weird for me when I use ordinary ones lol
My first was Return of the Living Dead, followed somewhat closely by Phantasm. Unfortunately I had already seen Friday the 13th before seeing Halloween. As a result, it came across far too similar and did not strike the fear so many others were fortunate to experience. I get more stress from the Halloween movies than fear. But you are correct. It was a very brilliantly done movie. I can not judge the sequels however as I have never watched any of them. But I am certain they are great in their own rights.
i remember when her movie freaky friday version came out she said she doesnt plan to hide her age and she stuck with it embracing her grey and wrinkles and still very beautiful
This is THE best plot line in a Halloween movie - She is ALWAYS great in what she does. A truly humble person who has the greatest respect to her fans for keeping her relevant. May it continue for many more years to come.
She's the one who first showed us all what actual Hollywood bodies look like without the Hollywood. Even fabulous bodies like hers. A true beauty - she paved the way, and we want more people over 40, 50, 60 in Hollywood. Disabled ID women BIPOC even better! I 💜and watch every single year🎃🦇

Watching this at almost 3 a.m. and Halloween still terrifies me! One and two were the first horror movies I ever saw. I was only 9 1/2 years old. My Dad let my brother rent them for New years eve. And my parents went out for the evening. I was petrified! Part two is even worse then one. I was too scared to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, by myself for over a year! Now I am the person who laughs at how ridiculous most horror movies are! But Halloween is still just so scary!
Yeah, I first saw it in our living room with the lights off when it debuted on tv in '81, I was 7. My dad was sleeping on the couch behind me and the suspense became so unbearable at times throughout I kept waking him up and he kept going back to sleep, lol. Good, fun memories.
I was a skycap in Phoenix I met her just briefly back in 08.. I yelled I love your movies ! And she gave me a handshake with both hands and said god bless you! She has a very motherly undertone.. almost like a teacher !
I just love how Kimmel makes Jamie Lee Curtis laugh and wheez over signing that document. And and enforced by the haddoned field police department. And Kimmel saying he was going to send the signed document to the Myers and Myers attorneys.
I love Jamie Lee Curtis. She is humble and down to earth and does good for humanity. Can’t wait to see the final movie! She deserves recognition at the Oscars, for sure. Fantastic actress!
