- Nous avons eu la chance de rencontrer Jus Osborn, cerveau du groupe Electric Wizard, avec la guitariste Liz Buckingham à l'occasion du Hellfest 2014. Nous avons jeté un œil sur le secret de la longévité de la musique du groupe, leur influence sur la musique actuelle et sur l'importance du concert.
Great to finally hear Liz's opinions on things.

Legendary band. Always had a unique style that didn't change despite external (or internal for that matter) pressure. Hope they have many more successful decades ahead of them.

There were plenty of opportunities for her to contribute to the conversation if she wanted to. Even the one question that was for her, she talked very little. Maybe she's just not comfortable on camera
WELL IT IS JUSTIN'S BAND, HE IS THE LEAD GUITARIST, VOCALIST, MAIN SONG WRITER, AND FOUNDING MEMBER.
SO IT MAKES SENSE THAT HE ACTS AS THE SPOKESPERSON FOR THE BAND AND SO WHEN HE'S HANGING OUT BACKSTAGE AT GIGS WITH HIS WIFE, SHE IS USED TO HIM BEING INTERVIEWED.
SHE'S A REALLY NICE PERSON AND ISN'T SHY AT ALL, BUT NOT A TYPICAL LOUD OUT SPOKEN AMERICAN. SHE'S NOT SHY OR QUIET BUT SEEMS GENUINELY INTERESTED IN OTHER PEOPLE AND HEARING WHAT THEY HAVE TO SAY RATHER THAN BOASTING ABOUT HERSELF.
ALSO JUSTIN ISN'T NORMALLY THAT TALKATIVE SO THE INTERVIEWER DID WELL TO MANAGE TO CATCH HIM IN A GOOD MOOD WHERE HE ACTUALLY DID RAMBLE ON. XD

I have had the pleasure of playing a couple of years ago with my ex-band of Stoner Rock "Chivo" for an aftershow in Arenna Wien in which they were headlining. Tattooed bassist came to the cheeks to see us and I must say I think it freaked us. It was unforgettable. Thanks to all the people of "Arenna" for that opportunity!!! Excuse me for my english!!!! Forever Wizards!!

It's gotta suck to be a girl in that industry, particularly in a niche genre like stoner/doom. And to be a guitarist to top off. I can safely assume that at best, probably 1/3 of the interaction she has with Electric Wizard's core fan base is cringe-inducingly awkward.

Id like to hear more from Liz, too but i dont thinn it's Jus's fault. It's not like he cut Liz off or anything . if anything it's on the interviewer for not directly asking her about her experiences. The few times she spoke you could tell she didn't even have a lot to say in that moment. I think she is just reserved and maybe didn't feel like talking. She seems fine, almost like she asked Jus to do most the talking because she was too high lol

Only just found Electric Wizard this weekend but watching this made me think maybe the reason they've had a lot of lineup changes is shown here, where Jus answers every question. Just a thought.

I'm from where they grew up in Dorset. Its odd to think they cone from this place but they sound incredible.

Nulty Prazec Well most local bands are country bands, this is just a complete contrast to local stuff. A good contrast though. Just Google Dorset and you'll see.
It's a rather quaint little English coastal town, not the sort of place that usually breeds one of the heaviest bands of all time lol

Galthasar Belt Yeah he’s the front man but he’s said that Liz is his writing partner and that her joining the band was crucial so it would have been cool to hear her opinions on things. Especially since stoner metal is a VERY male dominated genre.
