Keira Fun yea I did I got a robo hamster and named her nugget since she’s the size of one and she got attacked by my cat when we went to kings dominion because my cousins left the cage open but she was ok I saved her but she does have seizures nala was named by her previous owner who had a few cats and the cat would always get her so I decided to take her and she lived her full 3 years it’s almost been a year since she died I miss her so much 🥺

Ok I know this is an old video but I'm just now watching it. You guys have so many more toys, treats and hides than we have in the US. Just as a future shop idea, I'd buy a mystery box with toys you find at the store (someone can order and then you buy stuff next time you're out for them). I'd loooove this. Just a thought. Sorry about picking up the ashes also. I had to do that this summer and it made my loss come flooding back.

I have been using Nature's feast as an add on for around 2 years, it is a great add on food and good composition. 👍 I am currently adding a few of these nuggets into my new Robo's diet. Not sure if Archie likes it yet tho. 😊 My Arabella who is the spit of your late Cupcake has red eyes and she is really sweet. 🤩
Me and my sister are getting dwarf hamsters on Friday and I’m really excited! We’re getting winter white dwarf hamsters and we’re gonna use a ikea detolf cage. Is their any food you’d recommend? I’m not 100% sure on what food I need
I recommend only getting one from personal experience and horror stories I’ve heard if they will be housed together. Hybrid dwarfs don’t do well it’s pairs and they will attack and possible kill each other once they reach maturity. If you’re getting them from a breeder they are likely to be pure breeds there for will probably be happy living together. If not then one hamster pet cage is the best and safest option. As for food I used to feed the JR farm but It’s been discontinued. Another popular food was the burgess one but I think that might have also been discontinued. The erins ark food is apparently really good I have a bag but i haven’t opened it yet because I’m don’t have a hamster at the moment. Supreme science selective pellets are good to mix in with your food of choice 💕💕💕
I'm pretty sure they are safe.... I mean I have used them for 10+ years and I have never had a problem. Same with the bathing sand tbh, although obviously not as long. I remember reading about the woodshavings and I remember it saying that they are treated in a way so that they are safe, I think I read that on hamster central.
Malica Hamilton it’s kiln dried pine which is completely dust extracted so i believe it’s safe. If it’s untreated and not kiln dried then it’s unsafe x
Thanks for the warning about the Tiny Friends Farm sand - I just rushed out of bed to get it out of my hamster’s cage 😬. What kind of sand would you recommend? Preferably something available from Pets at Home.

I am a bit jealous cuz you have more access to hamster supplies than I do cuz here in south east asia alot of the stuff here are for cats and dogs and it's very rare to find a store that does have a decent amount of hamster supplies so alot of the time when I buy supplies I rely alot on online shopping
I used to use the pets at home woodshavings.. can’t believe they’re not safe! What woodshavings would you recommend for when i’m not using carefresh? Also i’ve tried the burgess nuggets, as have a few people in the hamster community, and our hamsters all hated them! He would eat everything and leave the nuggets 😂
Yeah same I had used it a few times in the past and yes carefresh is so expensive! It’s not even worth the money and the amount you actually get. I only buy the white one at Christmas because it looks like snow. I actually have a cage cleaning video coming up next I filmed it yesterday. I showed about 8 different substrates I like to use. Most of them are actually from the reptile section. Oh really 😂 oh no x

Hey ! What are you feeding him ? Make sure he’s on a healthy good quality seed mix. Only feed him what he needs rather than filling up the entire dish. Don’t feed lots of treats and if you do make it something healthy. Ensure you hamster has a good wheel so it encourages them to use it. Also if you haven’t already try weighing your hamster to track their progress

Just as a little tip from me, if you want your hamster to go through a full bowl of food (daily), i would not recommend using the hamster pellets as my hamsters do not eat them, these are the only thing they leave and i think they are too big for them, you guys may off had a different experience, but this is in may opinion 😉
I’ve never ever fed any of my hamsters on just pellets. That would be as bland as eating rice every day for your whole life so that’s why some hamsters don’t really eat them. I like to feed my hamsters on a musli mix I used to use the JR farm dwarf hamster harvest when I had hamsters and they all loved that. 😀 They would eat every single bit and I would also add in a few science selective pellets which they also loved and they are the perfect size for dwarfs. If you get a good dwarf hamster food the pellets are actually small so that they are able to pouch them.☺️ I would add in things such as oats , linseeds , freeze dried chicken etc as little add ons. I also fed fresh fruit and veg. Occasionally they would have a bit of rice or pasta too. My hamsters were on a very good diet and none of them were ever fussy. 😀 I didn’t feed my hamsters daily because they don’t need to eat an entire bowl every single day. If you fill the bowl every day they will just pouch all the good stuff and leave their least favourite which are often the pellets because they know you’re only going to fill up with bowl again. You need to feed dwarfs 1 tablespoon every second day I like to use a measuring spoon. 😋 Hamsters will also hoard food so if you look in their nest you will find a little food pile they also like to pouch a lot of it and you will often find them eating from their pouch. So if you watch and understand your hamsters behaviour you would know they don’t need a bowl full of food everyday because they are probably just taking it out the bowl and hiding it rather than eating it all. Another thing I often do is scatter feed rather than putting it into a dish because this also encourages natural enrichment and they also have to work for their food.☺️ I’ve had hamsters for 7 years so I’ve found a routine + foods that work for me. When I got Loki he was overweight and I was told he didn’t like exercise. In the pet store Loki was being fed the wrong food for a start. He was a greedy hamster and if you gave him more food than he needed he would probably eat more than he should. So with the correct portion control he actually went down to a healthy weight and he actually started using his wheel frequently and loved all the open space to run around which was something he never had before. ☺️💕

X i meant i fill their bowl up every couple of days, once they look to have eaten it, and i have seen they both take their food in their pouches and hide it in their bed, we like to scatter food across the floor as well, they like the Harry hamster and the pets at home muesli mix x i have 2 Syrians (obviously not living together) one is a baby and one is an adult, there called Percival and Sirius, Sirius loves hiding and digging his food in his bedding!!
I don't think Sirius likes his wheel, but percy does!, we get Sirius out in the bathroom instead, its all caged up and there are no escape routes, we obviously watch him in there, i go in with him x and Percy has the bath with a towel down for his playpen x we make DIY playpens also x hamsters are our only proper family pets weve had x weve had : Elliott, Harvey, Snowee, Percy and Sirius x so weve had hamsters for about 5 years, i have stick insects also x percy is really tame and loves being handled, but Sirius is in training x PS : Percy says, hi Loki!
Ok. Can I just say in the U.K they have better products then in the U.S. Also the animal care in the pet store for the hamsters being sold is better care.
I don’t recommend the nature’s touch food mix. My hamster was only eating the seeds and the little flowers and things and leaving all the grassy straw which was the majority of the mix and I realised she was starving herself because she hated the food so I had to feed her harry hamster because that’s all she liked but every hamster is different I suppose but my hamster did not like it at all.
No female hamsters go into what we call “heat” and the way you tell is by stroking the hamsters back to see if the tail lifts up then you know she is in heat I hope this helps btw I have hamsters of my own just to let you know s
Unfortunately that’s the downside to getting a pet the fact that they could pass away at any time. It’s something you do have to try and mentally prepare yourself for and it can be tough xx
Unfortunately p@h have been having trouble with those treats with the mold in, they seems to have moister in the treats making them a little softer but they go off. But....they should have been taken off and thrown in the bin hopefully they will notice them before someone buys it :/

( the one with the Sakura tree)) and her old hamster died so we buried her hamster and added flowers but the next day we checked, her hamsters body was gone and it was dugged up by what we think was a cat. No it’s not. The pets at home bedding is pine and sawdust is not safe because it’s too fine. Do your research before saying something is perfectly fine when it’s actually dangerous. If you want to use it then you do that but I would rather be safe than sorry.

As for food I used to feed the JR farm but It’s been discontinued. Another popular food was the burgess one but I think that might have also been discontinued. The erins ark food is apparently really good I have a bag but i haven’t opened it yet because I’m don’t have a hamster at the moment. Supreme science selective pellets are good to mix in with your food of choice 💕💕💕

I'm pretty sure they are safe.... I mean I have used them for 10+ years and I have never had a problem. Same with the bathing sand tbh, although obviously not as long. I remember reading about the woodshavings and I remember it saying that they are treated in a way so that they are safe, I think I read that on hamster central.
Malica Hamilton it’s kiln dried pine which is completely dust extracted so i believe it’s safe. If it’s untreated and not kiln dried then it’s unsafe x

Thanks for the warning about the Tiny Friends Farm sand - I just rushed out of bed to get it out of my hamster’s cage 😬. What kind of sand would you recommend? Preferably something available from Pets at Home.
No worries 😀 I use the pets at home reptile sand it’s really good. It comes in a huge bag just don’t get the one that contains calcium ☺️

I am a bit jealous cuz you have more access to hamster supplies than I do cuz here in south east asia alot of the stuff here are for cats and dogs and it's very rare to find a store that does have a decent amount of hamster supplies so alot of the time when I buy supplies I rely alot on online shopping

Yeah same I had used it a few times in the past and yes carefresh is so expensive! It’s not even worth the money and the amount you actually get. I only buy the white one at Christmas because it looks like snow.
I actually have a cage cleaning video coming up next I filmed it yesterday. I showed about 8 different substrates I like to use. Most of them are actually from the reptile section.

Hey ! What are you feeding him ? Make sure he’s on a healthy good quality seed mix. Only feed him what he needs rather than filling up the entire dish. Don’t feed lots of treats and if you do make it something healthy. Ensure you hamster has a good wheel so it encourages them to use it. Also if you haven’t already try weighing your hamster to track their progress

Just as a little tip from me, if you want your hamster to go through a full bowl of food (daily), i would not recommend using the hamster pellets as my hamsters do not eat them, these are the only thing they leave and i think they are too big for them, you guys may off had a different experience, but this is in may opinion 😉
I’ve never ever fed any of my hamsters on just pellets. That would be as bland as eating rice every day for your whole life so that’s why some hamsters don’t really eat them. I like to feed my hamsters on a musli mix I used to use the JR farm dwarf hamster harvest when I had hamsters and they all loved that. 😀
They would eat every single bit and I would also add in a few science selective pellets which they also loved and they are the perfect size for dwarfs. If you get a good dwarf hamster food the pellets are actually small so that they are able to pouch them.☺️
I would add in things such as oats , linseeds , freeze dried chicken etc as little add ons. I also fed fresh fruit and veg. Occasionally they would have a bit of rice or pasta too. My hamsters were on a very good diet and none of them were ever fussy. 😀
I didn’t feed my hamsters daily because they don’t need to eat an entire bowl every single day. If you fill the bowl every day they will just pouch all the good stuff and leave their least favourite which are often the pellets because they know you’re only going to fill up with bowl again. You need to feed dwarfs 1 tablespoon every second day I like to use a measuring spoon. 😋
Hamsters will also hoard food so if you look in their nest you will find a little food pile they also like to pouch a lot of it and you will often find them eating from their pouch. So if you watch and understand your hamsters behaviour you would know they don’t need a bowl full of food everyday because they are probably just taking it out the bowl and hiding it rather than eating it all. Another thing I often do is scatter feed rather than putting it into a dish because this also encourages natural enrichment and they also have to work for their food.☺️
I’ve had hamsters for 7 years so I’ve found a routine + foods that work for me. When I got Loki he was overweight and I was told he didn’t like exercise. In the pet store Loki was being fed the wrong food for a start. He was a greedy hamster and if you gave him more food than he needed he would probably eat more than he should. So with the correct portion control he actually went down to a healthy weight and he actually started using his wheel frequently and loved all the open space to run around which was something he never had before. ☺️💕

X i meant i fill their bowl up every couple of days, once they look to have eaten it, and i have seen they both take their food in their pouches and hide it in their bed, we like to scatter food across the floor as well, they like the Harry hamster and the pets at home muesli mix x i have 2 Syrians (obviously not living together) one is a baby and one is an adult, there called Percival and Sirius, Sirius loves hiding and digging his food in his bedding!!
I don't think Sirius likes his wheel, but percy does!, we get Sirius out in the bathroom instead, its all caged up and there are no escape routes, we obviously watch him in there, i go in with him x and Percy has the bath with a towel down for his playpen x we make DIY playpens also x hamsters are our only proper family pets weve had x weve had : Elliott, Harvey, Snowee, Percy and Sirius x so weve had hamsters for about 5 years, i have stick insects also x percy is really tame and loves being handled, but Sirius is in training x PS : Percy says, hi Loki!

I don’t recommend the nature’s touch food mix. My hamster was only eating the seeds and the little flowers and things and leaving all the grassy straw which was the majority of the mix and I realised she was starving herself because she hated the food so I had to feed her harry hamster because that’s all she liked but every hamster is different I suppose but my hamster did not like it at all.

No female hamsters go into what we call “heat” and the way you tell is by stroking the hamsters back to see if the tail lifts up then you know she is in heat I hope this helps btw I have hamsters of my own just to let you know s

Unfortunately p@h have been having trouble with those treats with the mold in, they seems to have moister in the treats making them a little softer but they go off. But....they should have been taken off and thrown in the bin hopefully they will notice them before someone buys it :/

( the one with the Sakura tree)) and her old hamster died so we buried her hamster and added flowers but the next day we checked, her hamsters body was gone and it was dugged up by what we think was a cat. No it’s not. The pets at home bedding is pine and sawdust is not safe because it’s too fine. Do your research before saying something is perfectly fine when it’s actually dangerous. If you want to use it then you do that but I would rather be safe than sorry.
