While I was pregnant with his child (and quite sick with complications) A girl showed up AT OUR HOME looking for him. Needless to say I was pissed, and she didn't know he had a girlfriend let alone a pregnant one. We ended up sitting in the kitchen talking and having coffee. She was still there when he got home from work, we had already packed a bunch of his stuff. He had the audacity to claim she was lying, Marcie helped me kick him out, that was 20 years ago and Marcie and I are still friends.

I love hearing stories like yours...getting cheated on is heartbreaking, don't get me wrong, but it always gives me a little more faith in humanity to hear about people handling it the way that you and the other girl did! I've been the "other woman" before without knowing it...more often than not, if someone you should be able to trust is lying to you about their own faithfulness, chances are they are doing the same to the person they are stepping out with...but people unfortunately tend to forget that, and focus all their anger at the other girl. I'm glad you two actually sat down and talked, I'm glad she helped you pack his shit and kick him out, and I'm glad you both unexpectedly gained a friendship in the aftermath of it all ❤

Especially when stacked up against the overwhelming statistics of women and children being murdered by ex husbands/partners/stepfathers/male cousins/brother/uncles/man next door/random obsessed strange MEN. Define "lots". Last I looked, here in Australia (as an example; a captive population of approx 25 million people) there is ONE WOMAN EVERY WEEK here being murdered by any of the above mentioned examples. Usually someone she knows. This does not count, or take into account, all the years of assault/stalking/terror/abuse she's already experienced by said husband/partner. Murder is just the end result that makes the news. Define "lots".

A very good friend of mine is in a relationship with a guy that has said to me "vast majority of man cheat on theif gf/wives on the 1st 2 years after child being born because women let themselves go and just focus on the child and forget their partners needs" ...plus he got divorced from previous partner very shortly after she had his kid, which makes me very sure that he cheated on his wife after she had a baby, even though he says he didnt. But he also said in other conversations that his marriage didnt work because his wife was a psycho and had an unhealthy obscession with the baby (???) My friend is brainwashed by him and believes this. I wish she could see him for the ah that he is... she deserves so much better 😭
So is, "he loves me, he just doesn't know it yet." My former neighbor tried this with my husband. I was 100 percent convinced I was gonna show up missing one day... thankfully she's in the past but still...

He was probably just trying to not vacate the house to try to keep from losing it in the divorce.

If he had a legal connection to the house and was trying to avoid vacating the residence, I'd use the video as documented evidence that he's unstable to support a protective order keeping him from having access to the property. If it were JUST about the house, he wouldn't have mentioned trying to make sure that she never got anyone else. There may be more solid support of an argument that he posed a potential physical threat to her and anyone she may have in her life (regardless of the nature of the relationship - i.e. new partner or platonic friend).

Sadly I've completely given up on people, every "friend" I had ended up betraying me in some fashion or another, or completely abandoned me without so much as a word. So yeah, I'm done. I'm tired of having my good nature and kindness taken advantage of.

It's just something I've noticed - having been cheated on (unknowingly for about a year) that the cheater is insecure. Especially if they haven't been caught - the guilt or maybe the anxiety builds over time and they start to project their guilt onto their partner and start blaming or accusing them of cheating - they do this I believe because if they hold on to the idea that we are cheating - it's okay that they do it too - even if we aren't and the cheating they are projecting is literally in their imagination.
TL:DR - Cheaters are insecure = fact.
Well i found out mine was telling everyone else that i was cheating when it was him. Apparently im a huge whore. Eye roll it was him cheating the entire time.

My dad had a similar reason for cheating on my mom. She had us three kids, and he got pissy cause he was no longer number one. While he'd go off and play golf, she'd be taking care of us, and when he'd come home, he'd throw a fit cause she was exhausted. And like, he hardly spent time with us. He was golfing, going to strip clubs, to bars, trips with friends, all while mom spent all her time with us. He was so butthurt and jealous that she was our favorite parent. But like, he never spent time with us and she took care of us. Why wouldnt we favor her?
But he cheated and tried to blame her for not giving him enough attention, despite the fact that he was the one who pushed and pushed and pushed for kids.
That is so awful, I'm sorry you guys went through all that.
I had similar but weird twist on that. My mom worked 2 jobs, took care of us. Dad didn't cheat but he was always off drinking, mom always had a boyfriend on the side, like wtf.

It always escapes me why when a guy cheats, gets caught & is put out of the home, he's the one, (usually), who stalks his ex, telling her that he's going to make sure she doesn't get with anyone, ever. WTF?
When I wanted to have another baby, my husband flipped out. He said, "No, no, nuh-nuh, NO. Every time you have a kid, I lose you for TWO YEARS!!!"

Oh wow.... How's the marriage going...? Have you addressed this issue with him and maybe gotten (specifically him, but also you) into therapy? I have my suspensions about that kinda of thinking being due to relationships with family members... either way, that's not normal thinking and shouldn't be brushed off.
@@xoxablade8345 I totally agree with u on that one! Hope u are ready for the long answer - Idk how to do it any other way! Lol! We have had a rocky road but truly love one another. After that conversation (one in which I was weeping by the end), we ended up having three miscarriages - none of them planned but he only supported me thru the last two. The last one I nearly died: it was an ectopic pregnancy that resulted from scar tissue from an old appendectomy. When I say I nearly died, I nearly DIED. The tube burst by the time they got me in the OR and they had to literally flip me upside down b/c my abdomen was filling with blood. The Dr had to remove the ovary on that side too, so it sent me into early menopause. I was so weak & small...really didn't want to live anymore & went into a deep depression. It was too much for me to work thru on my own, especially since we lived on a farm/ranch 80 miles from town. I just felt so horribly alone.
We did try counseling but he only went to one session with me. I ended up going thru two long series with a wonderful, loving & kind psychologist who truly helped me see things from a realistic view. My husband is definitely an old-school very dominant alpha male. But, surprisingly enough, he changed drastically after both nearly losing me AND my getting injured by a dentist (Endodontist) 8 years ago during a botched root canal, of all things. He severely damaged my Trigeminal Nerve by drilling into it & then chemically burning it with a cheap anesthetic. It left me with something called "Atypical Trigeminal Neuralgia", also known as 'The Suicide Disease' because most people kill themselves within 2 years because they just cannot live with the constant horrific pain. (Look it up if u want a good scare...I would not wish this on ANYONE.)
But going thru all this has truly changed my husband: he treats me with more kindness, love & support than ever before. Things are the best they have been between us since before we had kiddos....celebrated our 37th anniversary recently.
As I'm sure u know, marriage is not easy. And we almost lost ours many times. But we have both learned to give & take, to love & talk openly about the things that scare us.
I did not get the big family I always wanted. But, as he reminds me from time to time, God allowed me to stay here on this earth with him when, honestly, I probably should have died many, many times over by now.. I've had 14 surgeries (the last of which was getting a pain pump implanted - a real God-send; the pain is not gone but at least a little muted). I've been thru an extensive list of nerve & pain meds & experienced life-threatening reactions to several. I am lucky to be alive. So, even tho I live with constant pain, my husband is more kind & loving than ever before. And I am content with that.

People forget that marriage means the spouse is number one. Even above kids. Of course a man should not cheat or abandon the woman to all the work, but neither should he be ignored in his own home he works hard to provide for. There is fault on both sides in these situations.

My oldest son recently broke up with his girlfriend of 4 years. After they broke up, he told me that she cheated on him 3 times since they've been together but he didn't want to tell me because he knew that I would have said something to her about it. He would give her EVERYTHING! Always bought her what she wanted, always remembered all the "special" anniversaries that she thought deserved presents for her (first date, first kiss, first fight make-up, etc.) and never once complained. She tried to contact me since he has blocked her and she got upset and started to cry when I said that we loved her like a daughter but when I found out that she broke his heart, then she was no longer a member of our family. She actually thought that I would choose her over my own son. Crazy!!!

@@marietmberg292 Exactly this. I actually was super jealous and suspicious of my first BF and I had many reasons for that ... I was just his "revenge" date on someone else and as soon as she begged him to come back he cheated on me .. and it was very obvious. The worst thing was tho that it was a long distance relationship and I knew someting was off and he kept saying that everything is fine etc. until I found out one day. This kind of jealousy and suspicion stayed with me in the next relationship aswell ... where for some reason again I was not my partners no.1 but the best he could get because his no.1 did not want him so yeah I had super serious trust issues. After both of those relationships and me already suffering from depression things were looking very bad. Thats where I met my actual boyfriend who taught me that there are loyal guys out there aswell. Not always is hardcore jealousy or suspicion coming from cheaters yes they are projecting but it could also be people who just have trust issues because they got hurt by someone. Trust me the right person will come and show you otherwise, so keep your head up. :)
Same thing goes for people who couldn't care less about their significant other. In my experience those who don't care at all about your relationship will give you the most crap for every stupid little 'mistake'. But when they really f*ck up, they never want you to start any drama 🤷🏼♀️

This is what I don't understand, when boyfriend cheats the girlfriend tries to get at the other girl but doesn't hold the boyfriend responsible or worse forgives him thinking it's her fault.

Love makes people blind. It happens in a lot of cases, you'll hear it more often in abuse cases. Even child abuse, children who are abused want more than anything to feel love from their parents that they do anything to get approval and thus they constantly blame themselves instead. It's the same in domestic abuse, you want the love you and your partner had, you want that love back that you try so hard to do everything you can to make yourself not the problem even forgiving when you can't forgive and loving one who you shouldn't love. It's just sad really, people like that become so love starved from those situations they take anything they can get even staying with an abuser who they think "loves" them.

I wish I had seen this before I had married and wasted 19 yrs being trusting and naïve. Knowing what projection is, is something all parents should teach their children.
The one about projecting hit me hard, before she ended the relationship my ex kept saying I would be better off with someone else, turns out she meant herself, funny how you overlook all the signs of cheating but in hindsight they are bloody obvious. Don't do it guys and girls, if it is over please let the other person know.
So someone who ends the relationship because they are not feeling it and has a chance of starting a new relationship in my mind is not a cheater...they just got out before any further damage was done.

If someone can't stop cheating it's time to just make it clear to partners that they are poly and only enter poly relationships/ open marriages. Enough people these days do it, they should just be upfront and say they don't do monogamy, it cuts the BS for everyone.

As a poly person, being poly is very difficult. Most cheaters don't have the ability to sustain two relationships, let alone 3 or 4.
While I think this could work for some cheaters, others like to cheat because it gives them a sense of power or control and not because they're easily attached or uh, full of love to put it in a PG way.

It depends, Ive been cheated on and since then I wouldnt say Im jealous, maybe a bit 'paranoid' idk... I trust less since Ive been cheated on
I have to second what SS said already...and also add; if you're actually cheating it's also understandable for them to constantly worry that you may be cheating.
I know that sounds obvious, but I can't tell you how many people who were cheating I've heard flip it around by saying making an accusation is a sign of guilt...like no, it can be, but it can also just be paranoia or a really good sixth sense/gut feeling thing.
@@tylaquiljones That's what I'm saying. Not that if you're being cheated on that you should be insecure, but if your S.O. starts checking your phone or questioning everything you do or starts to get paranoid themselves, that's when you should start questioning their actions.
I'd wager to guess that it's a defense mechanism. They know they're doing something wrong and trying to get 'ammo' for when the fallout happens. Not sure but that's the best I could think of.

It is hard to have a meaningful connection with one-night stands and if the said person lacks honest and good friends or family, they basically have no safety net and rarely is anyone comfortable like that long-term.

Plus, we did opposite rotating shiftwork/tag-team parenting so it was also about the household schedule too.

Made plans to fly to Texas from NY, stay a week, tourist things while he was working and then itch-scratching-all paid for by ME! And STILL got ghosted.
