Lol my grandma literally told me as a teen that we can use her as an excuse any time we don't want to hang out with people lol
She was an amazing woman (not because she let us do that but because she was just all-around a loving, cares-about-everybody, genuinely beautiful human being inside and out).

I literally *LOVE* being a server! Quarantine was horrible, I missed my regulars and coworkers so much! I could win the lottery and I'd still WANT to wait tables. I'm not gonna lie- you DO encounter some pretty crappy people and/or pretty crappy situations but God d*mn if you don't meet some amazing people with great stories. Those are the ones that make it worth it, to me anyway. ❤️

These poor Dad put in a hundred cameras around the house for "security purposes" and now they get busted for breaking up the house themselves and can't blame them damn kids anymore. Lmao
Hahaha that last one made me laugh remembering a lie that I caught neighbour out on. She sent her daughter over demanding that we pay for damage caused when one of us was supposed to have thrown a tree branch over the fence. First of all she kept changing the time it happened after I mentioned that we all had proof that we were at work at that time. “Did I say one pm? I meant two pm…. Three pm. … uh four pm.” Damn daughter still believed the mother would not believe me that I was the first home and had only had enough time to put my bag down when she knocked, so I asked to see the damage. Was pointed out that the mother was crouching down on the far side of the yard when she heard the branch hit the car, looked up to see us throwing it over. Uh she heard it hit, then saw us throwing it over a solid 8 foot tall fence while she was crouched down? Still our fault….. until I pointed out that for us to hit the car where it did we would have to have lobbed it over the top of the tree that the car was under, the same tree that the branch fell from, the tree on their side of the fence.
What happened next
I always tell my students that they don't need to sacrifice their grandparents if they didn't submit an assignment on time. Just talk to me BEFORE the assignment is due and we can work out an extension. It's amazing how many students have grandparents that "pass away" each semester. I mean, obviously it is true from time to time (it happened to me in college just before midterms) but it's usually pretty obvious when it's not true...
@@alisyamora I'm so sorry you had that experience! Quite frankly, that's ridiculous. She could have at least offered to let you take an incomplete because most colleges were pretty generous in granting incompletes last year. Sometimes I hate working in higher education because when professors decide to go on a power trip... ugh. My students are always so surprised when I'm willing to work with them and provide extensions as I'm able. The end of the semester can be tricky because there are strict deadlines for submitting grades, and some institutions have really stupid policies about only administering final exams in our allotted time slot, but that's why the option to take an incomplete exists. I'm glad you passed your class, but that sucks you had that experience :(

A group of students in high school were making reservations to go to a town in the beach on their own. After a week avoiding answering my questions, a girl came and told me It was because I was a minor. Fun fact: the girl who was talking to me was literally a week younger than me (my birthday is september 10 and hers is 17)

@@kitarrah1422 no need for all that - when someone does you wrong there's a little thing called karma that kicks in n not only does it come back to them (multiplied) but their good karma is also transferred to you - people have no idea how the universe really works - you are free to make any bad choices you like but it behooves one to understand the ultimate outcome 😉

8:31 My dad is super passionate about his job as a waiter. He absolutely loves. He don't make no million dollars from it by far, but he does love his job. He also works at a golf resort and gets vacationers who, from time to time, resemble celebrities and he gets those patrons in on mild pranks against local fangirling customers who come in to eat.

Not to mention all the other stuff that was alleged against him by ex girlfriends (one of which was living with him when she was 16 and he was 20...like what?). He got off ridiculously lightly, I suspect pleading guilty saved him from worse punishment...but at least he has faced _some_ consequences (albeit too light) and is now on a register... unlike some others who have allegedly done much the same (James Charles) or worse (Onision), and still haven't faced any repercussions.
The only reason Charlotte isn't taken is that there are so few out there worthy enough! Don't ever settle for less than you deserve❤️
Mike Seork it's better advice to not end up having a third husband. Nobody should NEED someone else for happiness. Find happiness within yourself and you'll meet the right person when you're both really ready. Seems to me that she's still plenty young, has been building a successful career and finding what she wants and enjoying her freedom and independence. Sure there we all feel lonely at times and want a deep love and a reliable lover to happen, but that takes 2, not 1 and 5/8. Why force the wrong person to change into what your ideal partner is while a better match is out there waiting to be found, or worse spend an entire life with wrong someone for you? Sure nobody is perfect, but it's also true that some don't settle for dysfunctional relationships for their better.

Many of those who were working as waiters, cooks, bartenders, etc, especially while attending university to help them get to where they are, at their dream jobs! If they remain humble enough? Not only will they remain passionate about having *been* either of the above, but also maintain the level of respect the new young waiter, deserves to be shown. Such as a nice tip! Just saying!

And so did my ex-H so when we had to go out to dinner with The Mother In Law From Hell, we made it a quick and casual point to tell them we used to do it (me bartender, him server)...how we loved it, except when we had to deal with rude, demanding a-holes and saying how sorry we are someone so great like him/her had to deal with all that (and did a little head bob/eye roll thing towards MILFH)

Tried the blaming on the dogs thing for quite a while at the beginning of the relationship, my dogs were always around me, my then-BF didn't tell me for the longest time, so when he finally called me out on it, I almost died because how many times could I have made an effort to leave the room? And he doesn't have any major 'issues' but me...well, not good back then. However, he was hilarious when he did so I wasn't emb-he went into a whole routine, essentially accentuating the reek and putting me in the corner so what could I say in response? Stuff like: Calling Rocky to him with a baby wipe and an elaborate show of wiping his feet...or: "I have to drive you to the vet tomorrow. Rocky smells like something is dying in there"... Or sniffing the air and claiming "I'm getting you an air purifier. Are you sure the landfill is closed? that stuff smells like it causes cancer even though it is pretty far away"..."Get me some rubber gloves-I have to pick up the "land mines" in the yard"..."I have to go check Rocky's feet-it is so nasty in here he has to have stepped in it". I couldn't take it anymore and came clean. Oh, I ended up marrying him-20 years and a big error on my part breaking up. SH picked him a few years ago when I had a chance but instead chose the a-hole I was with 5.5 years until a few weeks ago (but just in time to find this wonderful lady-becoming a Croquette has helped me a lot! [As in "The Potato Queen and the Croquettes", or Charlotte-ite...)

I was giving French lessons to a guy that wanted to learn French to work as a serveur in Bocuse's restaurant. He could talk ages about different kind of waters, teas or coffees fancy restaurants serve. He was definately passionate about his job.

Yes. Scuba diver here as well as someone who was in a walker for a long time, which started Dec 2020/Covid, now dealing with more healing. I kept thinking how great it would be if I could go somewhere warm, go diving and just be free...no walker, no cane...

As a disabled person I want the scuba diving wheelchair.
There are wee diving devices that are awesome for diving with limited mobility, such as the Underwater Scooter or DPV.
Or could get taken for a ride in mini sub if unable to navigate a scooter
The wheelchair looks cool but poses a risk to floor dwelling fauna and flora and could get stuck on/damage coral etc

Okay, in defense of dads...well, MY dad...he would TOTALLY take responsibility for damaging anything that wasn't his and insist of replacing it at his expense no matter how much it would cost him. My dad is honest to a fault and I LOVE him for it. I bet your dad is the same....am I right? :D
🤣🤣🤣 Charlotte- I bought myself a new honda odyssey in 2015. 5 miles on it. After 9mths of owning it I went out to pick up my kids from the bus stop and notice the passenger side view mirror is shattered. I'm freaking out, and my gut tells me my husband likely did this...he put so many scratches, dents and stuff on previous cars. The man is notorious for hitting raccoons or other smaller animals late at night that have done massive damage to bumoers and undercarriage. He's a magnet for accidents!
So I call him, and he swears that when he took the kids to the dentist a few days before that when he came out it was like that. Now I'm smelling the faint odor that is bs. I'd examined it, the way it cracked doesn't indicate that it was physically possible that someone parked too close and got all that damage. Lo and behold it took me another 9mths being patient casually mentioning the mirror for him to finally admit that he'd hit the garage door backing out.
He is so bad at vehicle upkeep, and oblivious to it as well. Moral of the story is he can drive his own dang car and leave mine alone! 🤣

I was a server for a long time. I loved it! I knew people who were like teachers and one was an engineer, one guy was a cop(and this is Canada where cops and teachers make some goooood money) like some ladies and gents that had pretty good day jobs. Tea time: trying to plan a group trip with my friends but one of them planned the whole thing and it was going to be $800 to go a relatively short distance (before arrival). I said that was outside of my budget and offered some alternative places to go and she ignored me and stopped responding to us so we made plans ourselves. Once we brought these plans to her a much better deal and better trip she threw a fit saying we planned it poorly and we’re leaving her out (untrue). I told her straight up she had been angry for me saying I couldn’t afford what she planned and that she had stopped responding to my messages. She said she would “never get mad at someone for not being able to afford something. That’s not her. She just wanted to be able to go on a trip with us or could be anywhere but she would never be ANGRY over someone’s inability to pay. She was just busy.” little does she know our other friend going on the trip showed me the message where she said she purposefully was not going to reply to me because she was annoyed. Own up to it, there’s no point in lying.
That was my father, too. He'd lose *%$& or break *$^% and usually blame me or my mother.

There are people, myself included, who will take a question at face value. My own line of thinking wouldn't even move into "are you single?" territory, because that'd seem far more like showing a sexual or romantic interest than I'd assume that woman would have towards me.
Some of us, again myself included, are not able to pick out the subtext of a question without it being spelled out.
