definitely enjoying you and this s15. It's fun to see you working on cars again and not having to stress the quality of the build and just enjoy yourself. project cars are the best. keep it up Adam don't lose sight of the fun stuff over doing it with to much responsibility. you the man!
There is a product used for cleaning aluminum pontoons that eats all the oxidation off and trash off, leaves it shiny. Similar can be found for fuel fuel tanks/wheels on semi trucks, or in hvac industry for cleaning coils. If you can find the ones with HF or phosphoric acid it works far better than the common safer for your health products. Also, keep the heater. Never know when you need defrost and its only a bit of hose, It doesn't HAVE to be oem, just some decent quality hose, its not even on the hot side of the engine.
So awesome to see classic content like this. Brings me back to my favorite content building cars like the 13 or doing the 2 day swaps in the purple car. So cool
I like the fact that you are taking time to enjoy the skills that you have learn over the years and building the car that you want. The guys you have around you helping you can worry about fd car. You drive better when you have a clear head and less stress. Can’t wait to see you ripping it out on the track.
One of the things I love about Adam is he actually works on his own cars. Like taking a motor out, tearing it apart. As opposed to sending the car someone to have someone else do the work. One of my favorite things was in the old shop when Adam would practice welding.
with the condition of the block on the outside, just tear it down. worth it. it'll take an extra couple days. Chassis isnt even ready, regasket that johhny and get it up to spec
Damn man you came along way man.I first subscribed to you when you did the bmx barbspin. Man thats how long I been loving your channel. I use to be a Mopar fan all around but you put a special deed for jdm and tuners in my category and no sus shii man but I love you dude 😆
The heated throttle body is there for a purpose!!!!!! If disconnected, you could have a throttle jam due to freezing ( moisture in the humid Floria air), on the back side of the throttle plate. Very important to keep the throttle plate hot enough to MELT any ice that could form on the rear of the plate. HENSE JAMMING YOUR THROTTLE OPEN. Leave the water heat at the throttle body! Air craft manufacturing have been using “carby heat” for decades. C.T. Australia 🇦🇺
You mean to tell me that you’re doing more to the S15 then you had originally planned?! Can’t even believe it… 😂 also just wanted to say that I admire your honesty. A lot of the other automotive youtubers act like they are master fabricators because they had a drift car built and know what a clutch kick is, and then you have Adam who drifts professionally, can actually wrench on his own stuff, owns tons(literally) of JDM legends and still flat out says that some of the work is out of his league. Sorry for the novel, but it’s just refreshing to hear some honesty.
This is your perfect time to Paint the car yourself as you wanted to try and Paint a car in the past . I would be Okey seeing a week full video about working on that car. Stay awesome
It’s cool looking back to Adams Old videos and going to his recent ones Like looking one and got married and was washing his car in the van now he took a whole car apart and welding on it and actually know what he’s doing it’s cool he has taught me a lot more than you expect other cars love u
Really exciting to see a semi-fast turnaround build, so much happening! Can't wait to see this thing drifthq green and ripping. I love s15s and that old body kit. Year of the Flex
hey adam for work like the tear down some gloves that don't break the bank are grease monkey cloth with some rubber coating to like save you hands but also won't rip and tear like the latex/vinyl gloves you have. added bonus they are easily available at basically all parts stores and lowes walmart etc etc.
Great vid ADAM keep up this type of vids! I also took alot from this build VID for my spec R ! Worth doing it right, these cars are classics now! JDM SPACE. LOVE FROM AUSTRALIA
And as he said in the video that he first showed us the car it wasn't going to be anything major.....and down the rabbit hole we go thanks Adam it's what makes good content
its so cool seeing how far adam has come with his knowledge of mechanics and drifting, gives me a real motivation. Thanks mate and come to driftland again
Hey Adam, I’ve always played with the idea of door bar placement . Cut the door in half and weld the bottom half to the cage. Keep the top and the arm rest.
Funny to loop the coolant lines, heater circuit acts like an extra radiator, you'd think that would be fairly handy in the heat. If you run the heater lines, you should loop the tb circuit, as it acts as a bypass if the heater tap is closed.
A lot of JDM cars have those coolant lines going through the throttle body. My GC8 STI had them, it was to keep the throttle body from freezing up in snowy temps in north Japan. I did a delete on mine too as you don' need them in Australia.
This the kind of content I’ve been craving since you’ve bought the compound! I know race season is ridiculous and you’re running insane businesses right now but this video is fire and I hope a sign of more to come
Samco TCS103/C-A-BLK is a complete under intake manifold hose kit, also it’s silicone and the exact same bends as oem. I just installed them on my s14 sr
Adam I work at a restoration/restomod shop in Oklahoma and we use a product called raptor liner and it’s a undercoat/liner that you can literally tint any color we use it all the time it’s a great product
fact of the day... VHT header pant, works for incapsulating the outer lair of fiberglass on header wrap. extending life of the wrap. but i guess if you race cars, you have had the fiberglass melt onto the exhaust pipe? lower the amount of fiberglass dust, doesn't take much.
We need more video's like this man, just raw building and having fun
I 100% agree with you there my friend

I appreciate the 2017 vibes from seeing Adam working on a SR20

@@_yungfrankz yes indeed
I miss this type of videos, just Adam working on his SR powered S chassis
S-Chassis builds are just satisfying to watch
@@Wippzi your not wrong
I’ve missed this type of video as well
Congratulations on getting both top comments on this video
I think we can all respect a good well documented s chassis build.
This is some of my fav content from LZ, just wrenching on the "normal" rides
I agree
Adam: “I’m gonna use the stock plenum”
Plazmaman in the corner: “sad intake noises”
Stock plenum is best, much more torque and low down drivability
stock plenum creates way more torque, less cool looking but much better torque gain
Plazmaman have a plenum "top" which retains the stock long intake runners, and tidies the bay up nicely to boot.
Plazmaman has Covid...
We all saw this coming 😅😂
He is a perfectionist. I'm hesitant to say OCD ['cause OCD is serious & not to be joked about]
And if you didn’t you don’t know Adam 🤪😂
Yeah it's adam we shouldn't be surprised😂
Legit this^
Can’t blame him
So good to see Adam getting back into building a car like the old days with the cream 13

Agreed with everyone else we all seen this coming. Just like Jimmy O saying this beater is gonna be a simple build. But nope! 🤣

The coolant lines going around the throttle body is to keep the throttle plate from freezing during cold temps

Enjoying this build so far… HeliCoil or E-Z lok the stripped out threads instead of putting in a bigger bolt.
So glad the ridge kit is coming back. Vertex F·O·R·E·V·E·R
The waterlines to the throttlebody are the heater of it like you already mentioned for coldstart

Great video! Love the new build it's coming out awesome! And did I hear Adam say LS15?? 🧐
Soo glad to see ya'll are building this car the right way
Glad to see that paint booth getting used 😎

when you get the car painted green you should leave a small section with the signatures unpainted. I think it would be a neat touch :)
A lot of JDM cars have those coolant lines going through the throttle body. My GC8 STI had them, it was to keep the throttle body from freezing up in snowy temps in north Japan. I did a delete on mine too as you don' need them in Australia.
