It's actually wild how much content is in this update even outside of the headlines- a whole new alien language for the first time, new settlements, holograms of your best animal finds so you can make a full museum. And those are footnotes to the crazy level space combat upgrades
those patch notes are wild, one keeps scrolling down and the things to do just keep pilling up, i'm gonna have a ball today.
hopefully it's not unstable like the previous few have been for me because this is dragging me back hard

The game that keeps on giving
I bought this game 3 days after launch. I would never imagined how much this game has improved. This game keeps getting better and better.
I started last 2 month ago It's very addictive
Never played it. Should I take the plunge after BG3? Was going to try Starfield but I'm reluctant all things considered.
@@johnangell1924 do it. It was pretty fun even at the launch, I was one the lucky people who didn't get any real bugs and still had fun. Nowadays the game is so massive and has so many quality of life improvements that it's an amazing experience. The universe feels alive, unlike Starfield which I just couldn't bear to play for more than a day. Dollar for dollar NMS has Starfield beat by a mile.
@@johnangell1924 when it come to gaming, the people behind nms are very much of the same kind as those behind bg3

i'd say it's totaly worth it for the game itself (and from whats shown this old one is league above starfield) but also considering what's to expect/who is behind
You should play it in VR on the PSVR2. OH MY GOD ITS INCREDIBLE. This game was made for VR.

@ExtremeHardcoreGamer That's a dumb statement. Maybe it's time to forgive, but never forget.
Fairly soon, I feel like this game will look and play exactly how we imagined the perfect “Star Wars” game to be
I got into NMS because the Thrawn trilogy of books sparked in me the desire to jump the galaxy in an X-wing.
That will be Starfield, if bethesda witholds their urge to put microtransactions in the game
I know it's not much of a combat space sim but fighting sentinels are okay, I wish there was more in-depth combat system with different weapons, aliens, hostile Korvex, Gek, etc on land trying to attack you.

@@BryceByerley How much money are they making? Is there still a lot of people buying the game?
@runnergo1398 It's made by a relatively small team so less paychecks to cover, and I'm willing to bet the sales from launch + all the sales from every major update keep them afloat. I think they sell merch too but could be wrong
The game has also released on PC, Playstation, Xbox and Switch. So there's people buying it on 4 platforms, that's a lot of opportunity for new sales along with the updates bringing people back

DUNE
I just got an ad for that movie. Wasn’t on my radar at all.
Can't believe you guys are still making the game better after all these years! Thank You! I was around at launch and it was rough but you guys have definitely redeemed yourselves.
I feel like the only thing this game really needs in my opinion is starships that allow us to walk around in the interior and interact with things. This is something that I love in other space games like Star Citizen, Space Engineers, etc. It helps to make the experience of roaming space and using your ship to be much more immersive, like it’s not just a vehicle but a mobile home. I know frigates exist but it’s not the same since they are a mostly static object, so it feels more like a floating base than an actual ship. Maybe it would be too much to ask for which is why it hasn’t been implemented yet, but this is the only feature I feel like would finally make this game feel complete to me.
I have the exact same opinion lol. I would love to have that, every time a new update drops, I cross my fingers that it gets added.
@@sugarflame1833same, I'm still holding out for it coming eventually.
im confused what you mean cause it feels like you can do all this? You can land on your freighter and walk around and build an entire city on it and build offices, hallways, buildings, farms, etc. and your crew will freely walk around the areas you build. you can land on any one of your entire fleet of frigates to repair them/walk around you can land on npcs freighters and walk around etc. so what is it that is missing for you? like more npcs to talk to on their ships and stuff?
@@quinsey9211 as I mentioned, the freighters act as static objects, basically a floating base. I’m referring to the starship you normally use in the game to fly around in, I wish we had a version of that which allowed us to walk around and interact with the interior.
@@quinsey9211 like a mobile command center. A ship that you can pilot but is large enough to walk around in. It would be nice to have a ship that feels like it is more than a means of exploring.
if the beta has been anything to go by, there also seem to be some VR improvements as well, improving the sharpness of the game by quite a lot

its cool that they keep updating but slowly I feel like the main point why people thought no mans sky was exciting is being forgotten or maybe ignored because these types of udates are easier. Personally I want to see improvement on the planet generation, better immersion/physics, rivers, more biomes maybe, work on the animals/aliens... Anything that makes the universe worth exploring.
Go make it then
There's never gonna be a procedural generation update because all the player's bases and construction will be erased.
@@Corveos would be worth it imo, or they could do it so only undiscovered worlds/systems are affected by the change
@@omensoffate if you have nothing of value to say just stfu
Agreed, why I love no man sky seems to be forgotten. The exploration aspect is my favorite part of the game and waiting for more depth to it. I played about 500hrs worth and feel I was running out of exploration content to enjoy.
2000 hours in and still have Things that I still want:
-dynamic cities growing after discovering planet.
-more races and aliens variety.
- improved guns mechanics such making it feel more like an FPS.
Maybe these are too much but would love to see those
Read the full lore. The ARGs outside of the game, and you will understand since the game started, they had a vision with the lore, and to be honest, stitching it all together is amazing. There is a reason in limited alien races and some things like space stations being so alike. And it's been there since the beginning through the lore that you can now read about in a summary on the wiki. Anyone playing this game that doesn't know what's going on still should read it. It's amazing and gives you alot more perspective on the stuff you want to see in the game that isn't implemented.

THIS LOOKS SOOOOOOO GOOOOOOD
Always amazed with the amount of content for each update, but it doesn't keep me around for long enough, I don't do expeditions because I prefer one character. Adding more story sounds like an amazing idea, you guys are awesome! I adore your portals and seeing a staff and more story and monolith interactions to add to the atmosphere...oh man I can't wait!
The main point of the expeditions is to get the unique rewards. I complete them, get the rewards, and delete the save and use the rewards on my main character save. You don't need to have multiple saved characters.
I used to think like you but having played expeditions they're amazing standalone experiences that unlock rewards across all saves. The rules of each expedition provide a unique play experience introducing new mechanics with some story usually and are worth it.
@@whoisthis01I hope at some point they add the opportunity/option to do the expeditions that you missed because I really want the ssv Normandy lol

Patch notes talk about that a pirate dreadnought may try to escape if it gets badly damaged in combat, and that you can target its hyperdrive engines to prevent it from leaving!!! I'm not a big combat guy, but that IS pretty awesome. Anyone know when the update drops on Xbox?
If you did a full fledged Combat/Enemy Update it would be the best thing ever. We need some more things to fight and challenges that can kill you that isn't a space battle. Would love for the ground combat to be even better would make the game one of the best ever.
