- The set up is guitar and mic both into the tc helicon then both out and into my presonus I two interface then out and into my iPad via usb and recorded with the camera video app, a live reording but with a direct sound

Great job. I saw you are playing a Martin D28. What kind of pickup do you have in it and are you using anything else besides play acoustic pedal? I have a d35 and just picked up play acoustic yesterday so I’m still trying to dial in the sound. Let me know what guitar settings you were using if you can. Great sound you have.
Thanks i have an lr baggs pick up, my set up is guitar and mic intovthe tc helicon via xlr, then out via xlr and into a presonus interface and then usb into the ipad and just record using the ipad video camera, I don't use any editing software or DAW, I use my own preset that I made upif you send me an email could email some pictures of the set up,.

I was really grateful that you commented on a video of mine yesterday complimenting my sound quality, because recently I’ve started using GarageBand for my audio, and the one you remarked about was prior to this, and I’m thinking that this is the most simple solution that I know of to get a reasonably good live recording as you can’t currently do this using GarageBand. Life was so much simpler then!!!
Have you delved much into GarageBand yourself and just wondering your thoughts?

Sorry one last thing.... how do you get this level of volume without using a daw?
I just set the guitar and the mic to the helicon first set the mic with the gain on the side of the helicon and the guitar with the volume switch on the guitar,, just till both show a green light, all level setting in the setup of the tc are at the max, then i just do the same with the presonus make sure its a green light and not clipping and thats it really, i have only used garageband the once pretty good but i never got as far as matching audio and video. If you look back about 4 videos ago i did a cover of maybe its time by Bradley cooper, that was just the presonus and garageband no tc helicon

Sorry to badger you, but did you go through the whole Mastering process or is it just recorded and exported from the screen as you recorded this if that makes any sense ?
I think that after listening to your stuff and hearing your guitar through the TC Helicon , I’m going to have to purchase one again and really dedicate some time into it this time.
Besides the fact you sing quite well, it’s your guitar tone in your recent stuff that really stands out for me.

What are the settings on the play acoustic levels?
Hi, it was a while ago. I'm pretty sure it was the Brian adams preset, I usually just use the harmony on the hit button on the chorus and turn it down so it doesn't take over my voice. Volume level as I don't do any post editing. I try and get a strong green light on the tc from the mic and a little less for the guitar, maybe flashing green. Hope this is some help
@@christophermillar395 thanks for responding, I have a voicelive 2 but wanted something smaller and acoustic oriented. I have been struggling to get a good sound so I just did a factory reset n will try again today after work. I have a VE-8 as well but always liked the harmonies better on the voicelive and supposedly they have the same "guts".
Less is better with harmonies for sure. 👍

Settings are just normal, I am pretty sure I used bodyrez 2 for guitar
