- The BBC's special covering the results of local elections on the night on 4 May 2006 was presented by David Dimbleby with assistance from Prof Anthony King, Nick Robinson and Jeremy Vine; Emily Maitlis is in a London pub. Includes London opt-outs.
The political panel changes during the night but starts with Dr John Reid (Labour), George Osborne (Conservative), Sarah Teather (Liberal Democrat).
Preceded by a trail for Breakfast. The local elections programme ends rather abruptly at 3:18:40 and doesn't resume, with BBC One going over to News 24 at 3 AM shortly after.
Brilliant that you recorded these things. This channel is really a time capsule.

Yes. I have both 2009 and 2013 but am working through in chronological sequence. The latter has the additional problem that it's in HD and my Mac won't import it.
@@DBIVUK That's great to hear. Would it be possible to transfer the file for the 2013 elections via Dropbox or a file sharing system, please? I'm completing a project and it would be helpful to see it.

It's Matt Barbet before moved to Channel 5 to join 5 News a year later in November 2007 as a Presenter and Correspondent after Kirsty Young left 5 News after 10 years and 6 years later in 2012 he also joined Daybreak on ITV presenting alongside Ranvir Sigha
The power cut starts at 3:18:42.
