Great stuff - love the b-roll and Ryan really winding up on some of those balls. They came out with the next step up and something that looks great with the white trim and grip. It's also nice to see something kevlar which is not red in color. Great warranty too. Thanks again.

It seems Hudef Viva Pro is getting better and better, the only thing concerns me is the swing weight, it could be lowered by making the head more aero curved.

I have a viva pro 1 and it's a solid paddle. I stand behind this company. I actually had to use the warranty on the first paddle, and Hudef immediately sent a replacement without any questions asked. I would love to have this paddle because it's time to upgrade from a Gen1 to a Gen3! Thanks for the review!
I put this in a comparative context to the SixZero Ruby Paddle as far as a competitor with Power, Pop and Spin, all of which are criterion critical to my game play. I've been researching Pickleball Paddles for the course of the winter and have evolved from my initial desires for a Selkirk Vanguard Invikta or a Joola Perseus Ben John's to something in the Kevlar equipped area.

It sounds like this really is just a standard Gen 2 paddle. Whats new to Hudef is perimeter foam and handle foam. But all the new Gen 3 paddles have some sort of foam support in addition to the standard industry edge foam. Having not played with it yet, this is clearly from my perspective.

Great review! I am really wanting that Gen 2 but that swing weight on the Gen 3 would be better for my play. Not a huge difference in the weight, but I think that would help with forearms/elbow becoming more sore. In the mean time, I think I will continue to work on my strength training. Thanks again!

Whoa, I just heard they were comming out with a kevlar last week only. Seems the price point is not far from the sword & shield j2k range but their lifetime warranty really instill confidence with their product/ I do like what I see on the edge guard for this Hudef one. I tried the J2K and that seems like a dust magnet and takes some time for the eraser to work on it after play. Hope the dust comes of easier on this one. I heard you guys said the reset with this one is good and I think I'd like that part. I want this kevlar surface Hudef Via Gen 3 paddle to replace my Vatic Pro Flash.

thanks for the great review! the new viva looks really fun to play with. i would like for you guys to give me the paddle because i love pickleball as much as anything and feel like my amazon paddle is holding me back a bit. i live in indiana and make minumum wage (7.25/hr) which is tied for the lowest in the country. I have also gotten my family into pickleball and if for some reason i didnt like the paddle or it didnt click with me i would give it to my mom for mothers day or my dad for fathers day.

Why give this paddle to me? Personally game is evolving and would be a good transition to power as I am okay with control butt struggle generating power on drives and serves. I’ll keep working on technique but the paddle will help ;)
I like playing with paddles from smaller companies that come out with good products at affordable prices. The big boys simply charge too much for not that much better performance.
Why should I get the Viva Gen 3 paddle? I have a vanguard power air that has been working for a while but I’m in need of a true power paddle. So my friend and play often and we both advanced level pickleball players who play singles. He recently changed to a better paddle and I’m getting beat up easily. I need a power paddle to save energy and strategically pushed him. How I know? I tried someone’s paddle CBR 1x and it was fast. Oh boy! I’m searching for a power paddle. Give this to me 😁👍

I played with both and to me the Gen3 is slightly better in every aspect. But the Gen2 is terrific. I just love the Kevlar.

It seems Hudef Viva Pro is getting better and better, the only thing concerns me is the swing weight, it could be lowered by making the head more aero curved.

I have a viva pro 1 and it's a solid paddle. I stand behind this company. I actually had to use the warranty on the first paddle, and Hudef immediately sent a replacement without any questions asked. I would love to have this paddle because it's time to upgrade from a Gen1 to a Gen3! Thanks for the review!
I put this in a comparative context to the SixZero Ruby Paddle as far as a competitor with Power, Pop and Spin, all of which are criterion critical to my game play. I've been researching Pickleball Paddles for the course of the winter and have evolved from my initial desires for a Selkirk Vanguard Invikta or a Joola Perseus Ben John's to something in the Kevlar equipped area.

It sounds like this really is just a standard Gen 2 paddle. Whats new to Hudef is perimeter foam and handle foam. But all the new Gen 3 paddles have some sort of foam support in addition to the standard industry edge foam. Having not played with it yet, this is clearly from my perspective.

Great review! I am really wanting that Gen 2 but that swing weight on the Gen 3 would be better for my play. Not a huge difference in the weight, but I think that would help with forearms/elbow becoming more sore. In the mean time, I think I will continue to work on my strength training. Thanks again!

This is definitely going to be my next paddle! I’ve played with both the 1.0 and the 2.0 so I’m excited they are producing a 3rd upgrade to the line up!

Whoa, I just heard they were comming out with a kevlar last week only.
Seems the price point is not far from the sword & shield j2k range but their lifetime warranty really instill confidence with their product/
I do like what I see on the edge guard for this Hudef one.
I tried the J2K and that seems like a dust magnet and takes some time for the eraser to work on it after play.
Hope the dust comes of easier on this one.
I heard you guys said the reset with this one is good and I think I'd like that part.

I really do enjoy my Viva pro Gen 2. Plenty of power for driving and serving. Ive been awaiting to see if Hudef came out with their version of the Kevlar and carbon paddle. I tried a lot of paddles and have not seen any reason to upgrade the Viva pro Gen 2. ...until this Gen 3 has come out of course...More Spin and Control? where do I sign? Great review guys! 👏

thanks for the great review! the new viva looks really fun to play with. i would like for you guys to give me the paddle because i love pickleball as much as anything and feel like my amazon paddle is holding me back a bit. i live in indiana and make minumum wage (7.25/hr) which is tied for the lowest in the country. I have also gotten my family into pickleball and if for some reason i didnt like the paddle or it didnt click with me i would give it to my mom for mothers day or my dad for fathers day.

Does the Gen 3 have the same strengthening plate like the Gen 2 under the carbon/Kevlar face?
Why give this paddle to me? Personally game is evolving and would be a good transition to power as I am okay with control butt struggle generating power on drives and serves. I’ll keep working on technique but the paddle will help ;)

I'd want the Gen 3 because of the lower swing weight compared to the Gen 2. I like the Gen 2's power, but it feels slow at the net.
I like playing with paddles from smaller companies that come out with good products at affordable prices. The big boys simply charge too much for not that much better performance.
Why should I get the Viva Gen 3 paddle? I have a vanguard power air that has been working for a while but I’m in need of a true power paddle. So my friend and play often and we both advanced level pickleball players who play singles. He recently changed to a better paddle and I’m getting beat up easily. I need a power paddle to save energy and strategically pushed him. How I know? I tried someone’s paddle CBR 1x and it was fast. Oh boy! I’m searching for a power paddle. Give this to me 😁👍
