Good question! Opening the can and using it, I didn't notice any smell, but of course if you smell it, put it real close to your nose then you'll be able to smell a slight resin smell.
There are a variety of sources for this type of uv putty. Green Stuff World sells this type of putty which is clearish like vaseline. I think the original uv putty was done by Phrozen a while ago. Avoid uv putties which are not transparent.
