Roger Martinez may have turned from the faith, but he will forever be immortalized praising God with his tongue and declaring Jesus Christ is Lord.

Martinez was on crack here lol but still wrote great lyrics. I remember they were supposed to play at our church in 1990 ish but the pastor said "No!" and cancelled the show at the very last minute due to "Devil Music" (church members protesting) Lol, we were all bummed. Great band! 😂

These guys were ahead of their time which I think led to the reason why they never made it big like they should have. The industry secular or Christian wasn't ready for them

This was the first time I saw them. Amazing! I recorded them on my boom box and listened to the recording over and over until I actually could get the tape later in the year.

This is the calm before the storm! They only had their demo out, with Human Sacrifice still months from hitting the shelves. Edgar was spot on in his comment... the crowd didn't know what they were witnessing. I mean, seriously, NO MOSH PIT?!?! The shows after they had some national exposure were lit.

Moshing at a thrash metal gig was very new in the mid-late 80s. I suspect it wasn't yet "proper" at a Christian metal concert. Many Christian hardcore, punk and metal shows I went to in the 90s & 2000s had this aura where the crowd wasn't quite sure if moshing was OK.

I saw Vengeance in 1992 en la ciudad de Guatemala, the line up was different, George Ochoa was on lead guitar and Johnny Vasquez on drums, not like this, but it was stupidly crazy, totally insane...

Hey Paul, did you record all this concerts yourself? This is amazing!! I´m not a christian and I don´t give a fuck about religion, but I grew up listening to christian bands and I really love old school gospel thrash metal!!! I just saw Believer live at Cornerstone 1990 you posted and enjoyed it as hell!! Loved it!! This video is so fucking awesome, this line up really kicked asses!!

I'm so glad you don't give a fuck about religion, cause King Jesus hates it also!!!!!!!! For it is fallen man's weak attempt to get right with GOD!!!!

Thanks for posting, I enjoyed watching the back of my head for a half hour. I remember how ridiculously hot it was in this room.
