I'll be living in my RJO on the beach next to the Cardi's beach house. 🏖️ 🏡 I'm pretty stoked about that! I absolutely dig all the knots on the inside and outside of my home. There's a ton of them, which gives it so much character. The house looks so fresh and so clean. The main reason I had only one window in the living area was I wanted options for where I put my tv, seating, & decorations. And if I feel like switching it up after awhile I'll have that option too. Plus, less money to have to spend on curtain and blinds, and I felt the one window gives plenty of light. I'll be putting a mini fridge/freezer on top above the water heater. And I'm so glad they provided a vent for my w/d because I found a combo with a vent, which dries better than ventless. That barn door looks so nice and God's country! 🤠 🎵 Yes I'll have to throw my Dad upstairs if he comes to visit haha that was great. 😉 I love the space in the bathroom too, Amanda. And yeah no. Like you both said, don't do it Jacob haha. I'm not going to add a sink. No way, Jose. Great job showing off the place Amanda and thank you both for talking about my new home. The Last RJO. You are so lucky to get the RJO! I should have bought one years ago when I first saw them. I like your W/D hookup location in the kitchen and the water heater. I like how the faucet is installed at the corner of the kitchen sink. It looks cool and is way more practical then having it in front of the window sill and backsplash. The loft is great and I would install a big skylight and sleep up there 🙂 Congrats. So jealous you have a house made by the Amish. Beautiful craftsmanship!

Me too... Finances were not possible.. Wanted a 9x24 RJO as a rental, and a 10x36 custom RJO... With standard RJO layout with 9 foot downstairs bedroom for a single bed. I am so missing the custom builds.. I hope they work out again later

But I understand why? You switch over to Increda-Box. Especially with the cost of wood. This is exactly the size, style, price I wanted when the videos started. Perfect size and look next to our home with plans to have my mom live in the home soon,
AMANDA.. I would love to see Jacobs kitchen layout used for the incredibox kitchen.... Takes care of the water heater, the washer dryer and the fridge... All in one compact area (he's putting the his little fridge over the water heater. And if someone didn't want the washer dryer... Then could put fridge in the washer dryer spot under counter... Or use as desk/dining/prep area... Or toss laundry bin(s) under counter there... Or use as traffic area for backpack, shoes etc items coming in and out of the house daily.... GREAT DESIGN JACOB... this kitchen would be great in the incredibox... Just use a tension rod for curtain in front of water heater and washer dryer area if desired. This kitchen layout if used for the incredibox, would free up the area inside the door... So it could be used for full sized fridge, full, closet, pantry, stackable wash/dry, desk or eating nook... At customers choice... Just an open area... Jacobs kitchen layout would mean an incredibox customer would have tonnes of options.. But all with one simple design that wouldn't need customizing at the ITH end.

I'm actually going to get a white bead board style panel to fit in front of the water heater as I think that'll looked even nicer and themed with the kitchen as I'll have white appliances too. My mom came up with that great idea as I was originally thinking a curtain with rod too.

I like this RJO. And the idea of a washer dryer combo there is nice. But my water heater would definitely need to be up in the loft/storage area. Some of us don’t navigate ladders so well. Having one of those stair cases that fold up against the wall, and can be accessed only when needed rather than being in place at all times might work. I bet it would add extra $$ to the overall price though.
You could put up handrails to the ladder for comfort, folded against the wall would not allow easy access to the loft. But RJO’s were very special as a concept. 👍

Hey- I love this home. I like the way the loft can sleep at least one person. I have been looking for one exactly like this to put in my sons back yard for my home. I’m 84 years old and going to sell my home to pay off my sons college loans. Please do not get rid of your offer on this house. It will be 2 or 3 years until we can be ready to buy one, but I love it and really want to count on getting one when I can move into it. My sons home is in Duncan Texas and my dream is to get this tiny home to live in. I have been watching your videos for a couple of years now and Randy, you are a very special person. I definitely like the RJO's with the door in the front as opposed to the side access. This gives for more space and ways to set up the living room/bedroom area.

Yes I like them better, nothing better than that smell of wood. You'd have to paint the outside & maintain it. Too bad I don't think he's making them anymore? This one the owner made a mistake it needed two more windows one in the loft & lounge.
@@sandrastevens2793 The very first RJO homes were sold for $15K because they were all built with weathered wood. Although they were structurally sound, the mottled appearance of the wood was not pleasing to many prospective buyers.
Thanks! I can understand why not everybody likes it, but it's perfect for what I want and not a mistake for me. I love the wall space for decorating and bookshelves, plus the one window is plenty of light for what I like. Plus, I couldn't afford to do a window in the loft.
The incred-i-box layout is much better than the RJO. Man I wish I could have a sleeping loft over the living room in my incre-i-box though. I know it would require a different roof entirely. Maybe later on after the standard model sells well.
I miss the excitement of seeing the original RJO’s cranking out! Every one was different! I would love to see them back in production! An 8x16 and an 8x24 would be awesome! Maybe that would be a nice line for models! Original RJO’s with no changes! All alike would make them less expensive! 🤷♀️

Speaking of the shower: @14:30: a 32" is plenty of room for taking a shower. I mean you're not getting in there to do a dance, you're just getting in there to get clean for Pete's sake!!! Save that extra 4" of wall space for more area to move around in the kitchen. That's much more important and efficient!!! I have a 32" shower in my bathroom, and at 79 yrs old I've lost my balance in there a couple of times and was glad the walls were close so I could brace myself and not fall down! I'm grateful my shower it's only 32'!!!😆😊Beautiful little house BTW. 💖I could live in that, and I had an almost 3,000 sq ft house until about 8 years ago. Now I'm down to 1750 sq ft which is more than I really need.... Love you guys and your enthusiasm for life. Keep up the good work! 🥰
Can you take the grid off the window if you don't want it? Just curious. Since there are no dormers, I would use that as a storage loft and I definitely would want the water heater up there in the loft. I would want some kind of cabinet under where the water heater is, and a venting washer/dryer combo (I hear they do better when they are vented outside), and at least a 24-inch fridge (tall version). I would just use the kitchen sink since it is right there by the bathroom. I like the extra foot in the bathroom between the toilet and the shower. I would add at least two more feet in the living room area, maybe even 4 more feet so one would have a little extra room. A daybed, or a futon would be another option for that room so that you have a dual purpose piece of furniture, also have more room for a table/desk/cratt/prep table. I would also lay the ladder on the loft and have some kind of pull to pull it down when I need to get something in the loft. I would want to engineer some container to put stuff to put in the loft or bring it down. Maybe an elevator for my stuff, so I don't have to carry stuff and try to hold on to the ladder at the same time.
Thanks Carolyn! It gives me more options for decor and bookshelves. Plus, gives the option to switch up furniture and tv layout whenever I feel I need a change. And all that wood is beautiful of course.

Wondering about the toilets that have a Little sink & faucet on top of the toilet tank. The water drains into the toilet tank to fill it up again. It's handy for a quick hand washing .

I definitely like the RJO's with the door in the front as opposed to the side access. This gives for more space and ways to set up the living room/bedroom area.

Yes I like them better, nothing better than that smell of wood. You'd have to paint the outside & maintain it. Too bad I don't think he's making them anymore? This one the owner made a mistake it needed two more windows one in the loft & lounge.

@@sandrastevens2793 The very first RJO homes were sold for $15K because they were all built with weathered wood. Although they were structurally sound, the mottled appearance of the wood was not pleasing to many prospective buyers.

Thanks! I can understand why not everybody likes it, but it's perfect for what I want and not a mistake for me. I love the wall space for decorating and bookshelves, plus the one window is plenty of light for what I like. Plus, I couldn't afford to do a window in the loft.
The incred-i-box layout is much better than the RJO. Man I wish I could have a sleeping loft over the living room in my incre-i-box though. I know it would require a different roof entirely. Maybe later on after the standard model sells well.

I miss the excitement of seeing the original RJO’s cranking out! Every one was different! I would love to see them back in production! An 8x16 and an 8x24 would be awesome! Maybe that would be a nice line for models! Original RJO’s with no changes! All alike would make them less expensive! 🤷♀️

Speaking of the shower: @14:30: a 32" is plenty of room for taking a shower. I mean you're not getting in there to do a dance, you're just getting in there to get clean for Pete's sake!!! Save that extra 4" of wall space for more area to move around in the kitchen. That's much more important and efficient!!! I have a 32" shower in my bathroom, and at 79 yrs old I've lost my balance in there a couple of times and was glad the walls were close so I could brace myself and not fall down! I'm grateful my shower it's only 32'!!!😆😊Beautiful little house BTW. 💖I could live in that, and I had an almost 3,000 sq ft house until about 8 years ago. Now I'm down to 1750 sq ft which is more than I really need.... Love you guys and your enthusiasm for life. Keep up the good work! 🥰

Can you take the grid off the window if you don't want it? Just curious.
Since there are no dormers, I would use that as a storage loft and I definitely would want the water heater up there in the loft. I would want some kind of cabinet under where the water heater is, and a venting washer/dryer combo (I hear they do better when they are vented outside), and at least a 24-inch fridge (tall version). I would just use the kitchen sink since it is right there by the bathroom. I like the extra foot in the bathroom between the toilet and the shower. I would add at least two more feet in the living room area, maybe even 4 more feet so one would have a little extra room. A daybed, or a futon would be another option for that room so that you have a dual purpose piece of furniture, also have more room for a table/desk/cratt/prep table.
I would also lay the ladder on the loft and have some kind of pull to pull it down when I need to get something in the loft. I would want to engineer some container to put stuff to put in the loft or bring it down. Maybe an elevator for my stuff, so I don't have to carry stuff and try to hold on to the ladder at the same time.

Wondering about the toilets that have a Little sink & faucet on top of the toilet tank. The water drains into the toilet tank to fill it up again. It's handy for a quick hand washing .
