Jimmy’s laughter has always been contagious. Not to mention he seems like a class A guy.
I don’t know if it gets any better than Jimmy His faith through all of what has happened lately has been inspiring.
I agree with you on that Roger and an awesome interview. Jimmy is very inspirational .
What a pleasure to see 2 of my fishing Idols together. Loved every minute of the video Edwin. CHICO 🐟
Awesome!!! Jimmy is full of energy and tells great stories. I love his honesty about how he picked out a bazillion backlashes and struggled to learn how to use baitcaster reels. Also like how he said when he is skipping way up under docks he uses his spinning reels. Jimmy is very personable
One of the most entertaining half hours ever...keep it up Jimmy!
Two awesome gentlemen! Thanks for sharing with us “The rest of the story”!
I'm 47 ive been watching this man all my life he is a legend
Edwin, I love this sit down with Jimmy. Would be great to see you interview the legends of our sport like Roland, Bill, Hank and many others. Love your channel and it’s content.
They don’t get any better than Jimmy Houston. I met him at the Classic in Knoxville and he talked to me for a solid 10 minutes. He probably wouldn’t remember but it was a true honor and a really cool moment for me
Two great guys. Praying for Chris!
Solid Gold!
Thank you for this. I'm 64 and grew up with all of the guys Jimmy talked about. Perfect
Jimmy Houston is a true hero for all American outdoorsman. Thank you for sharing
I got to meet him when I was 6 on a boat ramp in Tampa Bay. He was heading out to scout for an episode and my dad started talking to him. And he asked how we did....our 17ft ranger livewells were full of sea trout and my first cobia. He asked my dad to go back out and possibly film an episode and dad declined because we moved to ga the next day. He regretted that the rest of his life
Oh man!
how did you fit a cobia in a livewell?!?
@@N2theBlue1 it was a cooler
I've had the pleasure of meeting Jimmy on a few occasions. One was on Father's Day at Dick's Sporting Goods in West Springfield, Mass. We brought him a Father's Day card and a handmade wooden lure that was made locally. It was a great time. The next time we met, we told him about our first meeting and he remembered our names ! Incredible ! Blessings and healing prayers to him and his family.
Jimmy is the best. Class guy. I would love to see a pic of that red Lincoln pulling the Ranger. Lol!!
Mr Evers you just produced a historic interview with Jimmy . Great job!
Edwin, I'm really enjoying these interviews with other professional fisherman. Looking forward to a interview with Gary Klein. Fished in a tournament he was in back late seventies. Hope you are getting your permits done so you can start your lake.🎣🐟
Outstanding!!! Jimmy hit on a very important factor in the story of bass fishing becoming so successful, and that’s the personalities and character of the people involved. From guys like Jimmy Houston and Bill Dance, to the guys like Dustin Connell, Ott DeFoe, Mark Daniels Jr. and Edwin Evers of course, it’s always the funny, approachable ones that stand out. The future looks very bright indeed!
There was a brief mention of a man named Jim Rogers. I spent many hours visiting with Jim. Had the opportunity to fish with him. Went to Church with him, his wife, his daughter and grandchildren. When our children were born, Jim and Babe were the first folks outside of family that we visited. Jim was a teacher of the art of fishing and one of the most generous men I have met. The legacy of Jim's continues with his son. If you have a chance to visit Liberty Missouri, stop by Rogers Sporting Goods there. They have a great store and a pretty good website as well. Thanks for the interview!
Great video! Loved it. Now you need to do Bill,Roland,Hank , Rick and KVD. Lol
Two of my favorites ... Edwin and Jimmy ... glad I found this video, even if I'm two years late ...
I was blessed to speak with jimmy houson in hot springs ar at the Flw tournament. He walked me and my son to the car talking about fishing story. Great times. Jimmy ima resident of Oklahoma now. We definitely should link up someday. May God bless you to continue what you do!

Awesome!!! Jimmy is full of energy and tells great stories. I love his honesty about how he picked out a bazillion backlashes and struggled to learn how to use baitcaster reels. Also like how he said when he is skipping way up under docks he uses his spinning reels. Jimmy is very personable. He does say Evers wrong earlier in the video😂
Great interview
This was great thanks Edwin. I grew up watching Jimmy's shows on ESPN here in South Africa.

Great interview! I have watched his RUclipss during the pandemic primarily to follow the deer... Lucy and her family. His story of his life is very inspiring and varied. Now I follow to track Chris’ recovery.

This is classic stuff!! So happy this is captured for prosperity's sake
Love it guys! Jimmy is one of my all time favorite fishermen!
I love that the greats in bass fishing are truly great . It’s so easy to understand why this man is a legend . Someone told me 20 years ago that Jimmy was born in San Marcos Texas . I know he did not grow up there but I wonder about this every time I watch him . Great video I could of listened to him for 2 more hrs easy . Thanks .
Great interview....love seeing you two together talking fishing 🎣

Jimmy is the greatest angler and the kindest happiest soul ive ever seen. Thanks for this vid and God Bless
Great videos and fishing tips. I’m glad Jimmy led me to your channel. Good luck in your next event.
Great to hear these stories keep them coming.
Wow. I grew up watching his show in Northeast Ohio. Less than 15 years later I moved to live on Lake Tenkiller, Oklahoma. I bought bait and stuff at Jimmy Houston's Gas Station and bought a motorcycle and had them all serviced by his son Jamie at Jimmy Houston Marine. Never got to meet the legend though. I hope his wife recovered.
Best interview yet ! When ya listen too the old old stories! It doesn't get any better! Pulling your boat with a Lincoln!! Awsome!

Jimmy is a phenomenal fisherman, and a greater man of Christ. One of my favorites out there no doubt.
My 2 favorite guys
Edwin EEEvers
And
Jimmy Who-ston 😅🤙
WOW Jimmy, I never knew you had an insurance agency!! I worked for a State Farm Agent here in Texas for 12 years. I really think I may be a long lost child of you and Chris... LOL. jus kiddin' ya. Just out of curiosity, how long has it been since you fished Gibbons Creek Reservoir? It's a very special place for me but I haven't ever had much luck catching bass out there.. Now the creek that feeds the back side of the power plant is a different story. LOL One day I am going to get to fish with you!!!
You're definitely going to have a good time when Jimmy Houston is involved, even if he mispronounced your name 😂
What a great interview! Good times. Ya'll should subscribe to Jimmy Houston's Catch of the day RUclips channel. You'll be glad you did!
I'll never forget meeting you and Jimmy at the BPS Mothership in Springfield a few years back. I watched you shooting a commercial for the Johnny Morris Pro Qualifier Reels that were on special. And hey, You're a good salesman bro, you talked me into buying 4 of them PQ baitcasters that day before the commercial was finished being shot! Lol 😉
I've still got some of those pro qualifiers they have held up over time
Man..he called you Edwin Ev -ERS?!! Jimmy probably sleeps in sunglasses..😂
Edwin I sure enjoyed every sec of that. I love ol jimmy. He would be unloading his ranger at Applegate on Kerr and I’d be doing bunny hops on my bike off the end of the boat dock and he would just stand there and crack up and cheer me on lol I’m 36 now so I was probably 10 year old lol 😂
Jimmy is a national treasure.
#ClassActs #Legends
Grew up watching Jimmy
Do you know what is the dumbest thing I've ever seen? The fact that this video only has 18K views. Best interview with Jimmy Houston ever put on air. This was awesome!
Love the interviews. Jimmy is so fun to watch and listen to his stories. Who are the (3) idiots that down voted this video?
Why do you always have your sunglasses on 😎
