@theQbelek baring in mind this was before the phone was realesed and has been updated to be much smoother now than it was then i do love this phone but you're right, it doesn't feel quite as smooth as the iphone but i think its better everywhere else
If I had to pick a phone right now I'd take the desire. Comparing it to the current iphone is an insult to the desire. I'm not in a hurry. I'll wait for the next iphone. Multitasking seems to be up on the next version, finally. And I hope they finally manage to build in a decent screen with propper resolution. And with windows phone 7 coming this might be an interesting year to get a new smartphone. Comparing the systems based upon the promised features. Android looks most suitable for me.
@freddyonpalm That I am still dragging my 3 year old 2g iphone... And since an iphone launch is expected mid june... I will drag this phone a couple of months more... then decide... simple enough...?
@theQbelek the phone is far from revolutionary like the iphone was, and hopefully the standards will be set once again when the 4g comes out. but basically what im saying is this isn't a very good example of using the phone due to it being shown here earlier than the final model. i've used it quite a lot as my friend has one and 98% of the time its slick fast and responsive just as the iphone (the iphone can be quite laggy too in places)
To all the peeps complaining about it being laggy, keep in mind this is an unreleased model, where 99 percent of the time the firmware isn't ready yet and not finalised for the end product.. And you don't know how many apps were open, as this phone can MULTI-TASK .. you reading this apple?? MULTI - TASK.
i will buy this one, instead of my old htc hd2. cause its more for buisnesspeople.. and it was too big and it always frozeed. no aps. just shit. htc desire!!
See google fucked up by not releasing the nexus one outside the US.. HTC felt sorry for us here in Aus and the uk, do they made a copy but refined it, and we get it first lol!!! yay!!
This phone is for Europe and Asia and maybe never will come to USA. Buy a Nexus one or wait for the next generation 4G phones with Wimax and maybe with 1.5Ghtz CPU.
in the iPhone you can't customise it. But in this you can, like most other phones. Thats why iPhone isn't good, and also why people try to jailbreak / hack it. Useless Apple, Ask your customers, not yourself.
why are all android phones so ugly? i wish i could like them, but i don't want to be seen with something that looks like it's designed in the last minute before launch.
I've had this phone for 6 months now, there's not one bad thing I can say about it... love it!
This is Nexus 2.0!!
I'm really loving the actually buttons, and the optical trackball!!!!
Legend looks much faster and better.
BTW love the optical trackball thing, nice idea.
Gonna get mine next week! Can't wait.

im really tempted to buy the phone but im worried it doesn't look as smooth as i expect it to be
any help?
@Cm810 well, it depends on how many apps it is running, iphone does not do multi-task, but this one does. how you think
Instead of having those big widgets take up the entire screen, can I just delete them and put my apps there instead?
IM GETTIN THIS
Whens this out in the uk on o2? I am replacing the ageing iphone with this baby.
This video was made before the phone was released so now it should be alot smoother...
hmm i got the hero but i kinda prefer it, why cant i just have all htc phones?
Just sold my iphone.. Waiting for desire... LOOOOVE the name :-D
I want it now!!!
I think I will wait for the new iphone to launch and then decide... This looks like a neat replacement for my current iphone 2g...
