That's why I have been using Ryobi batteries. Not only is that what my drill & saw use, I also found that the low voltage protection circuitry is built into the battery. I looked up which battery brands had built-in circuitry, and I was happy to find that out.

Which ryobi batteries do you use 18 or 20v?

I had to upgrade to a 24v relay the one you recommended started to get hot when I tested the circuit. I also used a push button hold-in circuit to automatically disconnect the low voltage module so it wouldn’t continue to drain the battery thanks for the video helped out a-lot

    Great channel! Wow
if you added one more relay to your drawing, you wouldn’t need a key switch. The relay coil would be powered by the power output of the voltage sensitive relay, and when the voltage sensitive relay turns off because of the low-voltage, it would turn off the relay that gives itself power therefore killing itselfwithout any extra switches or teaching the kid how to use the key switch, etc.

If the battery undervolts and the LVC kills power to the relay the relay opens, But if the relay is open, when you put in a new battery how will the LVC be powered in order to turn on and power its own relay? It's like a paradox of some kind.

Do you use 12V motors or do you need an upgrade for the motors?
    When you use 18V?

Stock motors, overvolted 50% gives you 7.5 mph

I'm surprised somebody doesn't sell a kit with all the parts you need. I just ordered two Milwaukee adapters and two boards yesterday. Any chance that relay can be picked up at an autoparts store? Thanks.

Yes, it's a common spst relay. Nobody wants to touch the liability of making a child's ride on FAST!!!

My issue is 30 amp fuse blows when I ride power wheel and I am small I just meet weight requirement at 130 but works fine for my daughter why is that? Can I just bypass fuse? Or can I up the fuse size to 40 or 50 amp fuse?

Hey - great video! Exactly what I have been looking for in a video so that I can upgrade an old dune race for my son. My plan is to use two 20V 5AH batteries in parallel so that it will have roughly the same amperage as the original 12V lead acid battery. Thanks for the upload! I may come back with some questions if I get stuck...

@cannonjanes994 looking to do the same with two lithium batteries ran In Parallel. Did you have to modify anything covered in THIS video?

Do you use the 635 or the 609 low voltage protection model? Iv seen a few videos saying one if them dosn't save the settings and needs to be reset every time its powered up. Cant work out which one saves the settings when disconnected from the battery, as i dont want to have to reset this each time . Cheers.

I have two LifePo4 batteries, Basen Green 11.7kWh 51.2V (BG), and Ecoflow Delta pro - inverter 48V 3.6kWh (DP). I use BG to charge a DP battery via XT60 solar input (400W 8A). With the DP application, it is not possible to set the BG not to be completely discharged? Would be such adjustable 48V DC Over and Under Voltage Monitoring Protection Relay suitable for my batteries, so that voltage limit (under 51V) will stop charging DP from BG battery?

HELP. Looking for a 24 volt electric jeep type vehicle with snowplow for Xmas 2023. I saw something called snowjoe. Is this vehicle worth it. Do you know of any other brands or where else I can get one?
