LOVE your approach on using carousels to showcase reviews + testimonials! Such a BRILLIANT strategy! 👏🏼 Don't know why I haven't thought of it before. Carousel ads seem to be really be CRUSHING it right now, they're generating the highest ROAS in all our campaigns at the moment. And DCO of course :) Thanks Wes!! 🙌🏼
Thanks man. I just made a carousel ad on this on my clients quotes. Cross my fingers! I never have had much luck beyond engagement and like ads so far.
Wes, always a delighted to hear your tips and strategies, thank you! Love your your style and delivery. Do you got a video on ad budgets? Something like if you want to bring in X amount of sales per week you should be investing X amount of dollars per week. Best
I don't Fernando, bc there just isn't a calculation like that... everyone's price points and ad effectiveness are so different that it would be oversimplified to the point of not even being helpful. Sorry!
When you do retargeting should you retarget only with Google Display network or Facebook or on the opposite site to make combination of retargeting ( Google, Facebook, RUclips, Adroll, Twitter, LinkedIn)?
At 5:00 When you said most people are ready to pay 'if they know that it works' . => That's a very good point, but to make it clearer: It's about the *value of your solution*. People hesitate because they don't know if the value is gonna be worth the price. Ideally your delivered value is much higher than the price, than you can easily go ahead and charge high tickets, esp. in online service providing.
Can we retarget on a different domain or subdomain?" let's say we don't want our retargeted customers to go on the same website but instead we want them to go to a different domain or a subdomain? please answer, thanks.
Great video! For the Carousel/image offer/bottom of the funnel ads, etc.... Do you send them to the same landing page? Such as one that says, "Save 50% off on my product", along with a list of the product? Do you send them to a landing page, with more testimonials followed by the list of products you're selling?
Oh, that's smart! I was curious about how to set that up as a group. I guess you could use a Reach Campaign and duplicate the ad set and then run one ad per ad set.
Hi! Great content 😀 question though: Does facebook automatically update the number of people in my custom audience? So that I dont have to touch and update my retargetting campaign from time to time since people gets included in my audience day by day as i run ads? I'm not sure if my question is clear to you 😅
Hey Anna! It does if you set it up that way with your email service provider (mailchimp, drip, convertkit, etc) ... you'd need to go to the integrations section on your dashboard and set it up. I like to give each new opt-in a specific tag, then make an automation that everyone with tag A gets put into my custom audience list. Make sense?
I love the video and the way you have explained everything but was watching this video I saw the ad of wilco so do you use his tools like connect explore?
Hello Wes! I was viewing your videos on youtube and I had a question in regards to retargeting! At what point should I do retargeting ads? I had a video views ad campaign going and I ran a retargeting video views campaign simultaneously. I noticed that my main ad was racking up views and data while my retargeting ad (which I set for viewers who watched 75% of my video) did not rack up any views or data let alone costs. What am I doing wrong?? Should I wait until my video views campaign reaches around a million views and then do a retargeting campaign? Please let me know, thanks!
You should aim to get at least 1,000 people who watched at least 75% of the video and then use that as a base to create lookalike audiences to layer into your targeting. You'll get more quality views faster which you can then use in retargeting campaigns!
What is your recommended audience size before you start retargetting? Im in the insurance industry, for both recruitment of agents and sales of products. My original audience is really narrowed down to 3 or 4 interests, 1 million estimated audience. Thanks.
Wes, Thank you so much for always giving such a wonderful ideas! But I was born before computer was invented, just curious, Do you also help people like my self? To do these type of work? Many thanks again! 🙏 Jasbir
Hi Jasbir! I don't physically run ads for clients, but I do offer consulting/coaching calls to help you find the right strategy. You can book one here: wesmcdowell.com/kickstart/
Hey Wes, I have an off topic question. I've been watching your videos for a while now and I decided to check your websites backlinks through keyword finder. Is there any reason you don't use other anchor texts to rank for other keywords related to your niche? Are those keywords too difficult? Do you get enough traffic from other channels that it's not worthwhile?
Hey Moe, yea, I just don't focus on search traffic anymore. I'd always rather work with people who found me through RUclips, bc they know what I'm about, and they trust what I can do for them. When someone just finds me through search, they don't necessarily have any idea who I am, and it's just much harder to get them on board with what I can do for them.
Great information! I'm hoping you could help me out. I've had 202 people go to my landing page, but no one has filled in their contact info. Does that seem normal?
No, that's definitely worth looking into. Does the page itself mimic the look and feel of the ad itself, or is it radically different? That can make ppl feel like they're in the wrong place, and not opt-in as a result.
@@WesMcDowellInc I think it does mimic the ad. Part of the problem I think is that it's about Coronavirus and people are leery but I don't know what else to do (that is in my control) to educate them or gain their trust about the service being offered
Hey Tom, do you have a link to share about that? I've never heard of that before, and suspect maybe they're penalizing for the language rather than the emojis themselves. Any evidence to support this would be helpful!
@@WesMcDowellInc the legit gurus (Andrew Foxwell, Nick Shackelford etc.) were discussing this on Twitter. One of their agency account reps confirmed it. I can't find the link anymore as Twitter is kind of hard to search when you don't know the exact words in each tweet.

@ShawN ShawN how did it go?
So I applied everything in this video about 10 days ago, up to now I have had two sales!!! Thank you
Great job! 😊
Love the video testimonial idea!!
Thx! Always happy to be of help.
would you please tell me how many people's data do we need in our pixel to start remarketing campaign?
Hey Vikas, technically you only need about 40 people in an audience to run ads, but most of the time it wont run until you have a few hundred.
@@WesMcDowellInc Thanks, but I have around 300 people in my audience even then my ad is active but not getting clicks

Thank you so much , Usman!😀
Could you make an updated version of this for 2022? Or does this still apply?
I made a new video about FB advertising for 2022: ruclips.net/video/mxlAJkQPcEs/видео.html
How is the new iOS update affecting the results.
Great info! I’m glad I found you. I’m subbed. I you’ve made my day.

Love the video! What is the best objective to use for these types of retargeting ads?
Samantha, that totally depends on what your actual objective is! But usually conversions are the best objective.
Thank, your insights are clear and actionable. I would be using them.

Hey Greggy, generally FB won't show ads to really small audiences, like under 1K ppl.

Facebook is now penalizing Ads for using ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ in ads. So don’t do that
