Hi Wes, I am a fan of your lectures; I find them helpful and clear. This comment is a cry - I cannot understand the FB policy to me, to my products-I need help and understanding. For a year I tried to sell Hadensa ointment for hemorrhages, I get my ads banned - FB says "Selling Healthcare Products Goes Against Our Rules" At the same time, I see eight (8) constantly running ads of similar healthcare products - ointment for hemorrhages and of other healthcare products. Also, on 2 occasions when I paid my ad was run for 5 - 7 days (and then it does not go against FB rules ?!). The same is done and applied to other product I try to sell, e. g. slimming cream for external use, etc. I will be very grateful if you could give me a clue for the reason of FB's attitude and how I may resolve this issue. If there is no way for resolution, what other social platforms would you recommend?

A lot of people who sign up for an email list, are using a different email address than they use for online accounts. So my preference goes out to target people who visited the thank you page of a freebie. This way you can reach people who signed up for your email list and chances are higher to actually reach them.
Very true! If all you're doing is retargeting site visitors, that works out well. It gets harder if you're trying to build a lookalike audience this way, since the list is being built in real time rather than from a stockpile of emails. Generally speaking when you upload an email list, facebook is able to match 60-70% of them.

Woah, that's amazing! In expanding outside of your area, you can start by actively marketing your business either through Google Ads or Facebook Ads. These are great channels since you already have a good reputation in your local area, those outside will see you as a business or service provider that they could really trust.
I just put an ad out about a couple days ago and even though I have multiple countries selected as the target location, 95% of my impressions are hitting India. Anyone experience this problem? Is this tied to audience selection? Or primarily location?
Hey Nick, FB generally tries to get you the most results for the least money, and some countries are just cheaper to target than others. Might be best to either exclude them or put them into their own ad set with their own ad budget so it doesn't skew all your results.

Thx Mike! You can upload your list of ppl, create a country-wide lookalike audience (the only way you can do it.) THEN layer in a specific city target on top of it. If you do that, I'd go for the largest possible lookalike audience of 10% since you'll be whittling it down so far by specifying the city. Make sense?
