    Greetings from Australia. It was such a pleasure to listen to and watch a gifted teacher. Your presentation is a model for others to follow. The clarity was superb as was your communication style. Thank you so much. Best wishes,

    Fantastic walk-through. You took a fairly complicated topic and made the step-by-step easy to understand. Thank you!

    don't you have to subtract the p value by 1 to get the area of the right side? so 1 - .0411?

    how do you calculate the standard deviation step by step please?

    • @woodchuk1
      @woodchuk1 5 лет назад +1

      Step 1 - square each of the differences between each pair (7.56, -3.02, etc.) and add them to get 1905.7473.
      Step 2 - sum each of these same differences to get 75.27.
      Step 3 - 9 (sample size) * 1905.7473 - (75.27^2) = 11486.1528
      Step 4 - 11486.1528/(sample size*sample size -1) = 11486.1528/(9*8) = 159.5299
      Step 5 - square root of 159.5299 = 12.630515

    2. Suppose it has been calculated that in order for Titan to break even, the average output must
    increase by 5. If this figure is alternative hypothesis, what is:
    (i) The probability of a type 1 error?
    (ii) The probability of a type 2 error?
    (iii) The power of the test?
    Can we use paired sample t-test for above problem? if not which method we should follow?

    Could trim these videos by about 25% if you would get a drawing pad. Writing with a mouse is painful to watch. Otherwise good vid, thanks!
