    Thank you so much! I just came home from an Alaskan Cruise with my first GoPro 11 Black. I subscribed to the app while in Seattle before setting sail about the ship. I had no idea this app would do so much until I got home and received a notification on my phone that my videos were ready. Just out of the box from GoPro they were pretty good. But since I discovered this video, I'm going to edit. I also have video footage on mine and my wife's phone that I need to get into the app. Thanks for the tutorial.

    Great Video! Thanks for sharing this with all of us. I have two GoPro cams The HERO4 and HERO5 BLACK. They both shoot some great video. After watching your video, I decided to download the app and become a paid member. I love all the things that we can do with it when editing video. I have noticed that if you want to use a video that's been captured with high-performance setting, you have to download it to your device before you can edit. No problem doing that because I'll still be able to get a nice video. So, Thanks again for sharing this with all of us. Thumbs UP and I've subscribed to you.

      Just a quick question... Did I bit of test footage walking about the house for 50seconds, Went to edit it but noticed it will only let me do half speed, 1x speed or 2x speed yet you seem to be able to have a lot more options?? I was using the app on my ipad mini 5 if that makes any difference? I tried to use it on my mobile huawei p30 pro but the footage wouldn't even play properly so tried it on my ipad mini 5 and played and was fine for editing just don't seem to have as many speed options to play with? Am I recording in the right FPS or is my tablet not able to cope, Have they changed the app??? Please help as if its a case of needing a more powerful tablet then I will go purchase one. Could you upload a video idot guide style that shows me how to add more music as I have read about making chapters or something but can't find any begginers guides on how to do this so I can make my 5min clip I've edited full of music from start to finish, I k ow the apps changed slightly from when you first made this above video.... Hi Neil! Thanks! Nice introduction! I started to create some vids with the GoPro APP. Nice little tool.
    You're right, a lot off content for 49,99€ and the cloud is included.
    Especially on trips. I'll try it next time on my trip to Ireland. Regards from Germany Michael

    Thanks for sharing. What if I don't want the app to edit my videos automatically?
    and what phone are you using? yours seem really fast and smooth in the app, but mine is really slow and I have a good phone... did you set up something differently in the app to make it faster?

      You can adjust clip lengths etc yourself so you do have some control over the editing process. I’m using an iPhone 12 but I only used relatively short clips. You need a fair bit of spare memory on your phone for the app to run smoothly I’d imagine?

    Hi, great video. I don't see an answer to this question though: when I put a video clip in "studio" it doesn't play the entire length of the clip in the edit. How do I get it to play the entire video clip? It only plays a few seconds of it. Thanks for your help

    Great video! The only thing that’s disappointing about the Quik app, is that you can’t adjust the timeline between when music starts during the video

    Good video thanks. My „clips“ are too long but I have good parts within. Can I cut clips so making them shorter multiple clips and deleting parts from this app?

    • @neilcollinsrecording
      @neilcollinsrecording  3 года назад

      You mean multiple clips from a single clip? Don’t think you can do that? I guess the workaround is import the same clip more than once?

    It is possible to edit different speed changes and reversals for 1 video store it and use same edits/filters to other video clips with almost the same duration? Thanks

      I haven't found a way of saving automations so it would need to be done manually I'm afraid

    Thanks for this video. How do you get rid of the GoPro branding that appears at the end of the video? I want to use the app to upload videos to RUclips but I don't want the Go Pro branding at the end. Separately is it possible to use the GoPro quik app to add your own text to videos?

    Hi, enjoyed your video, the best tutorial on the Quick app I found... enjoyed it so much I subscribed 🙂
    I have just purchased a GoPro 7 black and subscribed to the free month to use all the features. I record all my videos in 16.9 but when I put them through the editing part of the app and save as 16.9 they come out square? Infant when I choose the full screen 16.9 button it changes it to a smaller square than the default 4.3, so basically whatever I try I can't save in 16.9.
    I know you use an iPhone I use android but obviously shouldn't make any difference, just wondered if I'm missing something or is it a bug in the app 🤔

      Glad you found it useful and thanks for the sub! No idea why your export would be doing that tbh, it may be a bug in the app? Are you able to delete the app and reinstall it?

    • @RodWebb
      @RodWebb 3 года назад

      @@neilcollinsrecording Thanks for the reply, yeah it must be a bug, at least I now know you didn't have the same problem. I'll try reinstalling the app 🤷

    I have Final Cut Pro, do I still need to use the Quick app subscription? Seems easy for short videos using the phone. But if its more video or editing seems using the computer is much better.

    • @neilcollinsrecording

      Quik is just for edits on the go really, I'd still use your desktop editing software for more complex edits

    With this app can you cut up a longer video to take out sections you don’t need or want such as like beginnings / ends?

    • @neilcollinsrecording
      @neilcollinsrecording  3 года назад

      You can indeed top and tail your videos, there's a section in this tutorial where it tells you how to do this 👍
