First thing to do on any stale engine is remove the spark plug and soak the cylinder before attempting to rotate.

I'm still working on my engine but I had some success with spraying PB BLASTER - USE THE ENTIRE CAN

Like how you washed everything before working on it. Easier to work on clean.

Pull the spark plug and squirt some lube oil in the combustion chamber.

The first time i see it, i had the feeling that it was the piston thats stucked! For whatever reason. Maybe overheat that it damages the O-ring and the combustion affected the bore of the cylinder.

If they ran it oil dry, cylinder may have developed rust from valve being open letting humid air in over long period of time. Rings hard to slide up a rough surface.

I ran my lawn tractor with no oil in it, now it starts and runs but is to noisy and throwing a lot of smoke, do you know what could of happened to it?

metal-on-metal parts without lubrication results almost immediately in excess heat and wear of the parts. Running an engine without oil, even for just a short time, almost certainly means you will be needing a new engine. Bummer.

Me thinks you did that the hard way, I agree with myrtlelittle413 first thing is remove the spark plug lub the cylinder before trying to break it free. I would have pulled the head before removing the side cover but hind sight is always 20/20. lol

why did you not remove the spark plug PRIOR to attempting rotation ? The engine compression, if any left, would work against you
