I got a free 1972 Snapper rider mower given to me once. Had good spark, no compression, took head cover off, valve seat had became loose, fell out, just floating around in there. Went got a new valve seat at the now defunct small engine parts store. Cleaned area for install, used Loctite and peened the edges of valve seat and block casting, back together and ran like a champ.
I was today years old when I learned you can clean a gas tank like that! I actually got a free Craftsman riding mower the same way. Thinking about that mouse being in there when the tractor flipped upside down and gave the driveway the people's elbow made it 10x funnier. Tough little guy. He's probably living in some other tractor summer at the beach now.
"A free mouse!" That made it worth the effort right there. It was quite an adventure from the get go especially for the mouse! That trailer seemed a little "inconsistent" for the load. But it worked. I liked how graciously you were able to unload the mower. "That's not going anywhere."

"OK, lets see how much damage I can do loading and unloading this free mouse house." Love the rag with compressed air in the fuel tank idea. It appears the float valve was not sealing, allowing fuel to enter the cylinder and then seep into the crankcase where it diluted the oil. Cleaning or replacing the valve may have solved the problem. The blades may be soft but I suspect misuse by former owner.
not worth the effort with those junk nikki carbs like this had, if it was the older walboro then it would have been worth a rebuild, but the nikkis are total junk even when new, you could tell even the brand new nikki clone he put on it was already surging and didn't even have a full tank run through it yet,

Andrew says to the mouse “Hello!”
I wont watch paint dry myself but I would watch Andrew watch it dry, he can make just about anything interesting.
I have never watched another channel like I have this one. Andrew is SO brilliant - such a great personality! 🌟
Always a pleasure finding one of Andrews videos randomly
"A free mouse!" That made it worth the effort right there. It was quite an adventure from the get go especially for the mouse! That trailer seemed a little "inconsistent" for the load. But it worked. I liked how graciously you were able to unload the mower. "That's not going anywhere."
“Let’s get it working” *Immediately drops it upside down*
He did get it working even though the loading process couldve been more graceful :'D
Story of my life lol
Your a jack of all trades which is good in your business but loved the way you loaded and unloaded the tractor when you got home. Never thought it would run after dropping it off of your trailer. Good job Andrew on getting it fixed. A little bit of time and money and you saved yourself $1200.00 dollars over a new one.
Andrew, my 3 year old probably wasn't your target audience, but he's watched this video literally 40+ times, and he quotes things you say in the video. Now he knows what a carburetor and tire slime is. Thanks bro.
Idk How a 3 Year would be interested in this Maybe he knows how to talk and walk and All that either way idk 🤷♂️
@@RealCTGYT yes, walks, talks, all of that. 😀

Andrew going all Mustie1 on us - love it!
I was thinking the same thing, "Is this an Ode to Mustie1 video?"
I'm surprised he scooped it up before Mustie1 got there.
@@fontana101 Andrew is in NY, Mustie lives in New Hampshire.
Hmm, that engine seemed to be hunting really badly though
It’s nice to see Levi is still getting around and enjoying the water 💦
I was impressed with the rag and airline method of cleaning the inside of a tank. Never seen that done before, it's well worth remembering, thank you
Enjoy you videos Andrew. Thanks for sharing the projects. Great!!!
2 minutes in and I'm thinking, didn't andrew just install a pulley system in his garage so he could drive out the trailer from underneath?!
You´re right!
I even didn´t think of the indoor crane...
:-D
He seemed to have trouble finding good lift points, that's why he flipped it. The straps were below the center of mass. The only problem with this video is it was too short.
@@danespen5772 The straps were on the same side, that's why it flipped over.
@@danespen5772 Yes this video is it was too short!
I laughed so hard. I'm still just starting to watch it!
This is the only Chanel i watch the whole video 2 time. Andrew is amazing guy, stay safe..
Nyhan jr as most of us do....😬
Been rewatching alot of AC videos this summer. He has posted some good ones over the years!
Lol at the mower dropping while unloading. Great camera positioning in this video.
I like these kind of videos, always breathing new life into these engines. Thanks Andrew for making this kind of video.
You know your watching Andrew Camarata when ther is a lawn mower strapped to a jet ski trailer. Nice repair. 👍
Good score mate, I loved the durability test/unload, it passed with flying colours.
I was cracking up on that unload!
Marty T more like “falling colors” amirite
The mice was in there
Hey Marty T! I enjoy your repair videos too!
Lols, wonder what the free mouse thought, bet he was impressed with the roller-coaster ride
I remember... this was the video that made me subscribe to your channel. The dog... the humor and the skill.... I knew I had to see more... and you only got better each video.
And it's been far too long since you got out the "bees" and pressure washed anything.
Had exact same nest in my Snapper this Spring! Had to replace coil - looks like yours survived. Love the ultrasonic cleaner - have to get one of those!
"OK, lets see how much damage I can do loading and unloading this free mouse house."
Love the rag with compressed air in the fuel tank idea.
It appears the float valve was not sealing, allowing fuel to enter the cylinder and then seep into the crankcase where it diluted the oil. Cleaning or replacing the valve may have solved the problem.
The blades may be soft but I suspect misuse by former owner.
not worth the effort with those junk nikki carbs like this had, if it was the older walboro then it would have been worth a rebuild, but the nikkis are total junk even when new, you could tell even the brand new nikki clone he put on it was already surging and didn't even have a full tank run through it yet,
@@darkside0914 I'm sure you are correct because taking 5 minutes to drop the bowl with the carb still on the engine to clean the jet and float valve would have been a complete waste of time.
suspect misuse by being winched over the bolster of the trailer as it hit under the deck then ripped up off it
I didn’t think there would be much left to repair after watching Andrew take it off the trailer..
Yeah if it was me doing that, everything plastic would have been snapped in 10 pieces
He was just knocking off some of the crud.
I knew he does no mind. He was about to fix it anyway :)
Im a 50yo MEngineer. My hobbies are also very inclined to technical categories and watching Andrew do what he loves doing I can sit, watch it and relate. That hack he did putting a towel inside a bottle and blow air would make dry faster is something new I just learn from this young gentleman.
Reading the comments to the videos is almost as good as the videos themselves.....Thanks Andrew for such fine entertainment!
Imagine you're chilling in your house while a guy power wash your outside walls, and suddenly somebody opens your door and you're in another country. must be trippy as fuck.
**Gets pulled over**
Police: “why is there a lawn mower on a boat trailer”
Andrew: “Issa boat”
Sir mind if we check your vehicle for illegal drugs?
Desert Rat Sure, why don‘t you check the glove compartment, here‘s a chainsaw
Bert Bertmann no, thats how you open the glove box
Bert Bertmann 🤣🤣
Police: “why is there a lawn mower on a boat trailer”
Only in LA
So relaxing to watch reminded me of the summers I spent in Margaretville as a kid. Wish I could afford a place now.
Hey man I just came across your channel and I must say you’re a very handy person, I watch you take something that someone will throw away and make I into a working piece of equipment nice job.
Had to watch this twice, this is the greatest lawn tractor repair video ever!
Friggin hysterical! This is why I love Andrew's content. Dude, that mouse endured, loading, flips, forks, drops, pressure washing, and the vicious dog!
Nice video. Love the slime idea and the way you fixed the dry rot. Nice shop .
Love it, mower on a boat trailer, jet ski on a flatbed, unload mower with a forklift and drop it… I love it!
