    Rajon Rondo is a very hard player to evaluate. Throughout his NBA career, he's had some amazing playoff performances and changed the game whenever he stepped onto the floor. But his stats aren't exactly super impressive, and fans who've never seen him in his prime have a hard time figuring out how good he really was. Hope you enjoy the video!
    I make all kinds of NBA videos which include trivia, analysis, player stories, countdowns, conspiracies, and mysteries. Make sure to leave a like and subscribe if you enjoyed this video!

      Easily one of the most fun passers and slashers to watch as well. Dude he had so many different passes in his locker, with both hands and so many ball fakes it made your brain hurt. He also made playing defence looking fun as well, he'd scrap for everything, get in guys' faces and be 2 steps ahead on opposition plays to the point he could jump passing lanes before the initial player had caught the ball. I've been a massive Miami Heat fan since the early 2000's but man I can't help but appreciate the player Rondo used to be and still is. Imagine how much better he could have been if he came into the league with the outside shot he has now.

    Under-rated playoff performer. He's so good at figuring out teams. Did a lot more for the Celtics than people give him credit (especially in the playoffs), they really were a big 4. If the Lakers made the playoffs they could be a force with him running it. Remember Bulls-Celtics 2017, he carried the Bulls 2-0 with a genius performance, got hurt and they lost the next 4. Next year similar situation with the Pelicans. The guy gives any team a chance in the playoffs.

    best pg of that four year stretch. no one controlled the game like he did at that time. you also could've mentioned his incredible stats as a King despite the team's lack of success, & maybe touched on how his 8-seed Bulls squad had the 1-seed Celts cooked, winning the first two games in Boston, overwhelmingly b/c of Rondo's play, until he went down w/ an injury. also, when he dropped a 20-plus ast game as a Pelican against the Warriors in that year's playoffs, becoming the first player to drop 20+ ast in a playoff game since... Rajon Rondo lol. no one's done it since. vastly underrated all around, and should be a HOFer in my book.

      First name Last name Rondo attempted .4 a game in his rookie season (20 years of age) and made 21% of them. Poor but better than Ben Simmons who is 22 years old has only shot 15 in 2 seasons and is yet to ever make one. By 22 Rondo was shooting 0.6 a game and making 31% of these shots.
      He is by no means a good three point shooter (quite bad in all honesty) but comparing him to Ben Simmons who has never made a three throughout two seasons while being in a league that is so three point dominated is just so disrespectful to Rondo and gives Simmons waaaay too much of a pass.

    • @FirstnameLastname-qb2bg
      @FirstnameLastname-qb2bg 5 лет назад

      MarcoGeeWS I get where you’re coming from, the reason I still think it’s a fair comparison is the fact that Simmons is almost 7 feet tall. He’s been a hybrid big man his whole life. He gets graded on a curve compared to a guy barely 6 feet tall that played PG his whole life. He’s basically a dribbling big man. Similar situation with Giannis. Being able to make an open reluctant shot occasionally is a very low bar for a player 6’1. Big men who suck at shooting is very common. 6’1 players who can’t make FTs, sucks at shooting and the scouting report says leave him wide open is unheard of. Simmons could’ve easily played his career as a PF/C.

    The dude could put up some of the craziest stat lines you've ever seen. He looked every bit of a top 10-15 player when motivated. Loved watching those 08-12 Celtics squads. In the '08 finals when they won, I honestly thought the best lineup they had was Pierce/Allen/Garnett/James Posey/Eddie House. But 09-12 Rondo was dare I say a basketball unicorn. And still showed some flashes from time to time after that heyday.
