It's amazing how the game has changed so much. They were leaving Rondo open for a 3 but barely any attempts. A lot of the plays were done inside the 3-point line. I miss this style of NBA so much. Curry really changed the game in such a short period.

    • @user-dc7um4pr3f

There's always going to be a lot of ways to be effective in the NBA. There are still killers inside the arc. Rondo was strange even then for his lack of consistent three point shot. He still dominated.
Jimmy Butler, Demar Derozen, etc. still dominate the game without shooting a lot of threes. You just have to be able to hit some when you're wide open.

That was the Heat's gameplan. Leave Rondo open, let him make a shot. Props to Rondo tho, he made them. I think the Heat wouldn't do this if he has a consistent jumpshot. It's like how the NBA guard Westbrook now lol Make him a jumpshooting guy.

Why people act like this Boston team wasn't a super team. They didn't draft Ray Allen or Kevin Garnett

Rondo was the only reason they were there the fact that numbers is the argument to how good a player was or their impact is simplistic thinking cause if you remember correctly that team was gutted because of injury and age but still got that far.

Rondo, was great, but if he had just developed a consistent jumper he would’ve been lethal, and unguardable but his scoring was to inconsistent, frustrated the crap out of me! If He looked to score more the Celtics big three era would’ve had more rings but it was a great run while it lasted!

Out of all the Celtics squads w/ KG & Pierce from 2008-2013 this one was my favorite. Everyone wrote them off as washed and too old and they still damn near pulled off the major upset. Riley would have for sure split up the Heat Big 3 that summer if they lost in the ECF.
