      He was very good, but the Celtics were still at their absolute best in 2008-2009 when they still had the per-injury version of KG.
      Rondo always showed up big in big games though. Best career game against the Heat in 2012 playoffs I remember.

    • @kanajingly8957
      @kanajingly8957 Месяц назад

      @@van2.060 No he wasn't. KG was always the most important on that team.
      Remember that those Celtics teams were dominant defensively, and their plus minus was substantially better whenever KG was on the court.

    • @kanajingly8957
      @kanajingly8957 Месяц назад

      No he wasn't. KG was always the best player on that team, as his plus minus was better than any other player during his tenure there.
      However, Rondo was counted on more for initiating offense. And Paul Pierce was counted on for finishing the plays, as he was the lone player who could create his own shot on that celtics squad. Ray allen was used more for coming off ball screens and catch and shoot opportunities.
      Rondo also ran a lot of pick and pop with KG.

      Nah, I watched these games back then live and still remember vividly. Ofc rondo is not better individually. I have KG as my #2 after Kobe. I'm a big fan of his game. That was the whole point during those years: the big three were so good that rondo went unnoticed and went to a clinic therefore became more dangerous than the big three.
