    We left Honolulu in Sept 2021, now starting to miss it somewhat after living there 32 years. We have rv'd around the US, for 20 thousand miles. Now looking for a house in Florida. New four bedroom, 2 bath, 1900 square feet for $375 K is possible here in Florida. Honolulu, ? Over 1 million plus for sure. I worked and lived in Waikiki, its great living and good fun, but high-rise condo living not for us now. I do miss the plate lunches, shave ice, and good rice.

    My mom used to teach at LaPietra. That whole Montserrat area is somewhere I’d definitely consider when I decide to retire back home.

    Keep the videos going I love them, do you think you could review popular coffee shops around the island?

    I can only imagine how much time and effort it takes to make these videos so thank YOU!!! It’s my dream to retire to Oahu someday so in the meantime, watching your videos helps to keep me motivated. Question - I read that the homeowners at Waiea sued the builders. Do you think that more problems with the building will come up that are because of the builders rather than normal aging/wear and tear? Thanks again for all that you do and are 😊

    Met my cousins for the first time back in March of last year and they’re been trying to convince us to move to Oahu Hawaii . Only problem is we’re Canadians and that means having to hire a immigration lawyers/agency.
    That could take time and money that I don’t have a lot . Transferring and starting over again.
    We love watching the videos.

    All in All it's a beautiful place and I'm sure it has its ups and downs. all together I'm spent about a month in oahu summer and winter and I'd give my right leg to live there. we've eaten at the best restaurants on the island but I think the best meal I had was at a jack in the box ( I'm old school) and we've stayed in the best hotels but id rather sleep in a lean-to on the beach ! I don't need much and rarely ask for anything and I'm easy to please and all the places I've been in my trails I feel more at home in oahu than anywhere else.

    Can you talk about condotels? Is it worth the investment? Are we able to stay there when we want or do we have to “ask permission”?

    Love your videos. I appreciate how much cultural input you give about the area. Can you make any recommendations for people who are new to the area and prefer to rent first? Do you have a leasing department or do you only service buyers and sellers?

    • @movingtohawaii
      @movingtohawaii  6 месяцев назад

      Thank you for the comment. Unfortunately, no one has a leasing department on Oahu except the property
      Managers. It’s just how it goes here. When we’ve tried to participate, the PM’s aren’t interested as it’s customary in Hawaii for the renter to work directly with the PM

    Honolulu is a diverse metropolitan city of charms and typical urban challenges. It is not any more expensive than L.A., San Francisco or Seattle I think. The key is the balance between housing costs and lifestyles. There is nothing though that beats the acessability to the Pacific and the cultural party that is uniquely Honolulu anywhere else in the world. The Aloha is Real.

    Hello, so, I’m in the process of relocating from Florida to Hawaii. I called a particular agency with some questions, and this man told me straight out “don’t move here!” He said that the people there are not so nice anymore, because Hawaii is over populated, and the people are upset because there are not enough resources for the people who stay live there ands basically they don’t want anyone from the mainland moving there, but it’s ok for us to come as tourists and spend our money. I was very offended. So is it true that the natives don’t want us from the mainland living there?

      @movingtohawaii  5 месяцев назад +1

      This conversation deserves a real time conversation as opposed to a back-and-forth in the comment section. If you're serious about relocating you can have an open conversation with our team (no high pressure sales - just precise straight talk) to learn about this very topic. In fact, our video that is going live tomorrow touches on this very topic. Feel free to watch our next video and/or connect with us to schedule a time to have a deep nuanced conversation about relocating to these islands.

      @@movingtohawaii thank you, I am very serious. I’m in the process. It’s a whole story and a Faith Walk. What time are you going live? We are five hours ahead of you. It is now 9:12p. I’d love the opportunity to speak in depth with you.
