    How amazing it is to learn a new stitch that's both beginner friendly and reversible!!!! Your video helped me do a lace stitch for the first time and it feels amazing! After trying with some medium yarn and 5.5 mm knitting needles, I assume that the tinnier the yarn is, the more delicate and beautiful this pattern will be...and it will give me motivation to pick up yarn I previously avoided, so thank you!

      Such a good feeling to read you! Yes, the thinner the yarn, the lacier it will look.

    Great video! I've been knitting for over 5 years, but I haven't learned any new stitches other than ribbing and seed stitch. This video was super easy to follow and now I have a cute new stitch to use on my rococo style ballgown that I'm working on!

      Conny, I loved your idea of creating this pattern without unraveling (I’m a fan of efficiency!), but I found it a bit fussy to knit the left stitch under the right stitch. So, I do this whole pattern with purl stitches; I purl the wraps row, and on the return row, I purl the left stitch and pull it over the right stitch to unravel, then purl the right stitch. It feels less fussy and is faster for me. I’m a continental knitter. Thanks for sharing your idea!

    • @janecynthia989
      @janecynthia989 3 года назад +1

      When I work this pattern in the round, for row one I knit the double wraps, and I purl row two without unraveling. In other words, I purl the left stitch and pull it over the right stitch and off the needle to unravel, then purl the right stitch and pull it off the needle. It speeds up the whole process for me in two ways - it saves the time that would be spent on unraveling the stitches by moving them between needles, and it’s less fussy to purl the left over the right versus knitting the left under the right. I’m a continental knitter. Oh, and you also get to see the tiny hearts developing on the outside of your work versus the pattern being hidden on the inside of the round thing that you’re creating. 🤓
