Can't wait to try this one. I have been a little afraid of lace stiches, but I think I can do this. Your instructions are easy to follow and I like the written instructions as well. 😀 Thank you.

No, the reason for the double yarn over is the purl stitch that comes after. The yarn over ends as 1 stitch. Just try it.

i think i know where the confusion is coming in. she’s clearly knitting english. i knit continental. to me, YO is in the opposite direction of what she’s demonstrating. to me, what she is calling YO actually feels more like YF. THEN when beginning R2, she clearly does say to YO 2X. this is because she’s doing it english. if you watch really carefully, it SEEMS like she’d end up with 4 loops. but she doesn’t - she ends up with 3. this is because of the knitting style. english needs 2 YO. if you do continental, flip your yarn to the P position first, then just do 1. it all comes down to the style. watch it in slow mo.

But on row 2 you k1 then you YO 2 times, p2tog but the rest of the row you only YO 1 time before p2tog.... 🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️

Please take a closer look: Before purling or p2tog there’s always a “yarn round the needle”, which looks like a double yo 😉

3/30/2022: I figured out why I'm constantly confused. When you begin the 1st row of pattern, you state "yarn over" which is incorrect. It's simply "yarn forward."
The second row begins "yarn over"!
Original comment: Your video and directions have a difference that caused me to have to redo this pattern 3 times. It's very confusing. 🤔🤔
