Checking every 3 days was the key for me. The mealies were gone in 12 days.

If the plant need repotting I usually take them out of the soil, whash them and keep them in water and away from other pants for 2 weeks up to a month so meslybugs won't have soil to grow.

7:47 but it doesn't like that much light. That is why you get crispy tips.

I think that hoya is a callistophylla. Its definitely different than clemensiorum.

You're dealing with mealies, I'm dealing with thrips. I have systemic coming from Amazon tomorrow. Ugh. I know it was a chore to treat, but it must feel good to have battled through.

    Um, I don’t trust anyone with a super clean/sterile home, you’re good 👍🏻 😂
I just found a pocket of fuzz aka mealie “residue” or eggs or whatever, I treated that whole area of plants too… sigh
We can’t get that systemic in Canada for some reason, not sure why
My Cuprea has petioles less than 12 inches long, between 6-8 I’d say, she gets tons of light, I hope my Jaklyn has shorter petioles too with enough light they can get crazy long

hahaha I'm glad to hear that you don't mind 😂
agh I hope that they don't spread around too much! they're such a hassle when they get out of hand.
oo yeah I've heard alocasia jacklyns also get super long sometimes 😬 I feel like it's not too bad if you can get them in the right arrangement alongside other plants, but it can be so awkward to deal with lol

Hiya Joy! I’m new to your channel and enjoying your videos very much! 😍 I just wanted to share that I’ve learned that mealies and ‘root mealies’ are the same thing! I was told this by a succulent and cacti collecting friend and we know how prone they are to mealies! She’s said that if you have an infestation, chances are they’re in the soil around the roots! So it may be those problem plants actually have them in the soil too, and not just the leaves! Good luck! I’ve had really good luck once I learned this information with getting rid of mealie bugs! X

oo I haven't read that one!! unfortunately, some of his novels do get a bit bloated 🥲 they're usually such fascinating concepts, though!
