The only Anthurium in my collection is my Luxurians. It is in my top five fav plants in my collection of 132 plants. I adore her and she is thriving, currently giving me a brand new leaf.

I don’t think that’s a H. callistiphyla. It definitely looks more like a H. finlaysonii most likely or potentially a H. crassipetiolata. Beautiful regardless!

A tip I have learned when soil goes hydrophobic (won’t absorb water) is to mix water with dish soap 😊 but I’m glad that your quick action helped your plant thrive 🪴

I bought a Hoya compacta that had bare spots in its stems, just for fun as an experiment I added Keiki paste to the bare nodes… it FULLY FILLED IN WITH LEAVES, I was shook, so for your lunnearus, I’d try it on one of those bare stems instead of making wet sticks and see if it does anything! Depends on if there’s more nodes than the spent ones that already lost leaves I would think I have a Epipremnum “Thai” I’d never heard of before, I cannot keep it happy, I have no idea what to do, looks just like your Siltipicana, let it dry out, as soon as I water it throws a fit, water more often, throws another fit, it’s only 1/2 the size or less than when I got it, it didn’t do well in props either I’m a big fan of putting 2 or more of the more gangly types together with a stake in the center to make the plant bushier, Florida green, my tigertooths are back to back so is bushy all around, I’ll do the same with my Florida ghost when it gets bigger, my Tortum too, I love the plants but not a fan of the single more bare stem look

Pests? I’m the fall?! Oh yes, confirmed, I got the triple threat already, fungus gnats always, but got spider mites, mealies, and saw 1 thrip!! Took me 3 days to treat 90% of my collection… sigh “To do list purgatory “ lol yeaaa Shananagizing? 😂😂 I put drip trays in my baskets for dribbles, lil watering in between doing a big sink soak on occasion In winter, well, all year really, but I take vitamins B and magnesium on the daily, then go to a tanning salon once a week in winter to help my mood overall, works wonders for winter blahs

Yayyyy! Alocasia are my absolute faaaaaaves 😍😍😍 And yes, dragon scale blooms smell like broccoli 😂 (note that I love broccoli but the smell is just not it lol) They stink up my entire apartment 🤣

I think my favorite Alocasia in my collection right now is the Variegated Alocasia Frydek too! I don’t think that the leaves lose their white as they mature? Or at least as far as I’m aware? My leaves are easily over a foot long at the moment with a new one unfurling, and it has a really bright white color on it. Not of my other older leaves have lost that white color. I don’t know where you have yours in your house but mine is next to a west facing window and it loves it there! Anyway, I love your alocasia collection and can’t wait to see it grow bigger!😊💕

Hey Joy! The reason your anthurium was doing so well in sphagnum is because they love constant moisture around the root system. Anthuriums can live in ambient humidity as long as the root system is consistently moist!! I watched and learned anthurium care by @growproteas on RUclips. Life changing! Hope you get all your chores done ✨🪴

I have about 4 wet sticks from that El Choco that are doing really well. I don't think you'll have an issue, but it may take awhile to root. Also, what moss do you use? It's so much better than mine!

I found philodendron Brandi to be impossible to grow nicely. I tried everything and it would only put out stupidly tiny leaves. I was relieved when I forgot to pull it from the sunroom during a cold snap and it died.
