I have this kit with different fabrics from a local quilt store and am glad to see you have this video. I like the fabrics in your kit so much that I am going to order it and make more than one. Please don't let the negative comments get you down. I appreciate having the visual. So far this is the only video I've found on the internet for this particular casserole caddy.
Thank you so much Sue for your kind comments! I'm so glad the video was helpful for you. We really do love these projects, but if you haven't used pre-printed batting before it can be a little confusing, so we thought a video would be fun! Aren't the fabrics in this collection lovely? We're so glad you like them too and will be making more! Let us know how your project goes! We'd love to see pictures of your finished casserole caddy if you want to share!
I made those before there was any pre-cuts and I made a lot for gifts and even was able to sell some. I put a 1/8" board in between the inside bottom and outside and made it so the board is removable to wash. It's really handy.
Great tutorial! I had no trouble following and I appreciate not watching all of the stitches be sewn. (Kinda know what that part looks like! LOL) We all jump around a little and that's part of your charm. I love that you keep it real, keep doing you! and... always happy to hear tips on notions others love.. Id rather have a "referral" than some of the wild stabs Ive taken... anyone want some bent pins? LOL
It really is such a fun project! You'll have a great time, and it's pretty simple with the pre-printed batting since all the instructions come printed on that. Let us know how your project goes! - Morgan
I’m a beginner sewer and I’m confused on starting this project do I sew piece 1,2,3,4, etc to batting first or do I sew them first then attach to batting I’m confused
Great question, Vesta! You're going to be sewing each piece down to the batting one at a time. Piece one will be sewed to the batting first. Then piece two, and so on. Let us know if you have other questions, we're happy to help! - Morgan
Great question! We non longer hold the batting for this Caddy. However, we still have the kits! We even have it in a holiday version. Here is the link to that: www.shabbyfabrics.com/quilt-as-you-go-casserole-caddy-kit-holiday-lodge-P76345.aspx - Yajaira
as much as I appreciate you always telling us where you get your materials. I am beginning to not like these tutorials, as you need to purchase a kit to fully appreciate this tutorial. I live overseas, shipping costs way to much. I would love to make this, but am not going to pay for batting just because it has my pattern on it. happy to purchase a pdf download instead.
We understand that shipping can be so expensive! Unfortunately, this pattern designer doesn't offer another version for us except what's printed on the batting. As far as our own projects, we do offer some PDF downloadable patterns on our site, and plan to expand that offering in the near future. Thank you so much for watching and commenting! - Morgan Here's a link to our PDF downloadable patterns: www.shabbyfabrics.com/PDF-Downloads-C1138.aspx
I bought mine from Joann and it was 40% off . Most fabric and quilting stores carry it and if you have amazon prime it’s free there. I am finishing my first one. I’m a beginner and this is really hard. But I’m having fun.
So glad you gave it a shot! It's so much fun to do and you'll get better with practice. I bet your caddy looks great. We'd love to see a picture of it if you want to share. Send it to us on Facebook or Instagram @shabbyfabrics :) - Morgan
I agree with the comment from Zoe Davey. I was such a fan of your videos. You had so many cute projects for us to do, but now we must purchase EVERYTHING, and listen to how wonderful Clover products are. Ok, so Clover products are good. I have many myself but come on, the entire project is an advertisement for Clover! Their wonderful sharp pins, Their wonderful sharp scissors. I must buy THIS batting to make the project. Sorry but it really puts me off. Where are the wonderful instructional videos you use to make that were so fun to watch? PLEASE re-think your videos and give us a few that show us something we can make without having to purchase items from your sponsors.
We do have the Table Glitz and Wooly Mug Rug projects that are totally free, including the free download! We're also working on new videos and would love to hear your ideas for projects you'd like to see. We also wanted to let you know that we don't have sponsors. No one pays us to make videos - we film and produce them ourselves. When we recommend products, it's because we use them and love them, not because we've been sponsored to do so. Thank you for watching and taking the time to leave feedback. - Morgan
This is really cute. Love the Clover Ruler, do you sell them. The walking foot is the best, use mine alot. Got my catalog, loving it. Thank You for sharing 😊
Thank you so much for watching, Connie, and so glad to hear that you got and love your catalog! :) We do have the ruler available in our shop (I've linked it below for you). The walking foot is such a great tool, we love ours! Clover Perfect Press Hot Ruler: bit.ly/2ypvhob - Morgan
We ship internationally! All you have to do is click on this link: www.shabbyfabrics.com/quilt-as-you-go-casserole-caddy-kit-holiday-lodge-P76345.aspx - Yajaira
We understand that! They are not small by any means, but they're so useful! Maybe you could give your post man some coffee or goodies in exchange. ;) - Morgan
If you were to start at the beginning of making it, we don’t need all the mumbling of extras. Then you go into “ and now when you first get, then you admit your getting ahead of yourself” slow down, then why is that important but I will get back to you later. Confused 😐 clean off your table, we see the sewing machine, too MUCH selling, turns me off, I am now buy this and buy that. So you have LOST me of WHY I am watching this.
This is my second June Taylor kit I am disappointed with. I assumed when I bought the printed batting that I would have directions to complete my project. I was surprised upon opening, that I had only a picture of this finished carrier. There was nothing to tell me what sizes to cut fabric. I to get on Shabby Fabrics to get a clue. But that didn’t completely give me answers. When I came to make the straps, I couldn’t info on that. It was blown off without and specific directions. I guess I will have to finish yet another of Taylor’s products on my own. So disappointed in this kit. I doubt I’ll buy another one. I just thought this might be a quick carrier. Wrong again.
So sorry to hear about your experience - if you purchased the kit with missing instructions from us, please reach out to us by sending us an email at Support@ShabbyFabrics.com or call us @ (208)664-4567 and someone on our customer support team will get back to you as soon as possible.
I am completely lost. I have no idea how she explained anything. The kit looks easy but I think she needs to give more detailed instructions and in an order that makes sense. She skipped two steps and the reverted back to them after she had jumped ahead. I ordered my kit to see if I can do it myself.
Thank you for that feedback, we appreciate it. The kit with the pattern is very easy to make - the pattern was written very well by June Tailor. Let us know if there's a specific question we can answer for you or a way to help you if you get stuck. - Morgan
I agree. I always watch these tutorials because the ideas are great but I always switch them off because she is always jumping around. Her explain G is always so confusing with her "but before that..." I can't never follow her. And I'm an advanced sew/quilter.

That sounds like so much fun! The board would definitely add some stability, and it's helpful that you made it removable! Great idea! - Morgan

This is a really neat project, i know i have to watch the video two or three times to get it down right.

Un saludo desde Guanajuato, México 🇲🇽

I don't understand why people thought this was confusing. I understood it perfectly!
We're sure happy to hear that!
Pfaff also have the built in walking foot on all their machines which is why I use them over other brands.
It's such a great feature for a sewing machine to have. Happy Sewing! -Bethany
Love it! What about a CrockPot Caddy? Or cover?
That's a great idea! :) We'll have to see what we can come up with! - Morgan
I always enjoy your tutorials. Thanks !
