This scene man. Like, when she died I was like "Haha, nice one, you're not going to kill the main character, you can't fool me". And then the scene dragged on. And then Camilla cried. And then it dawned on me that the Collector needed to understand what death is. And then, for a moment, I actually believed them killing off their MC was a real possibility. Kudos to the writing team for that!

People keep saying Steven Universe and quoting the age where he was even less forgiving than his child form. At least Kid Steven kept around most of the people who traumatized him. 16 year old Steven has way lower patience and is done withe everyone's garbage tbh, even his own.
I kinda wish it was just petrifaction. Like the weird moss thing is kinda gross and I don’t like it. Turning to stone and then just kinda disintegrating would’ve worked better visually for me.
This went double hard for people who were also fans of RWBY since Watching and Dreaming came out the same day as Volume 9 Episode 8. If you know, you know.
Everyone's reactions were so good. Although I wonder...Luz lost her hat when she went poof, and got it back when she came back, so does that mean that Luz teleported to where her hat was to put it back on her head, which just happened to be where everyone was about to be smooshed by Virus Titan Belos?
Honestly.... Luz should've stayed dead story wise. Like yea, its much happier to have her come back, but it would've went from a good story to an epic if the main character died, and the wishmaster goes from kid who doesn't know what death is, to someone willing to dish it out against something that truly deserves it, taking Luz's last words to heart that giving things a chance is good, but certain people are beyond saving. He's just a kid, but that only would've made the tragedy more heart felt, not only that but nothing makes people support a love more than love that fails. Its why Romeo and Juliet is so timeless in theater. Imagine the ending being the Collector learning Titan Magic and combining it with his own, because he started learning it to get closer to Luz, in any way he could. SUPER sad, but also extremely sweet. Super bittersweet.

When I watched it, I didn’t cry at all
I was too stunned for that
It was Camillas tears that sold me on this being a full on death to just sense that a part of your heart has disappeared is heart breaking.

This scene made me wanna cry and just ahh like he didn’t understand and the fact that Luz saved him makes it even sadder
