I was an Aircraft Carrier sailor, USS Kitty Hawk CV-63, and all I can say is: *_Julius this is beautiful!_* The C2 Greyhound and FA-18 Super Hornet models were perfect, especially the secret seaplane ability of the C2! When the Greyhounds arrived, they brought mail from home, pictures of our loved ones, reminder we weren't alone out there. When Julius builds for his family and posts his hard work on RUclips, people like me are the real winners; took me back 20 years. Thank you, this was awesome!
@@mikeupton5406 You are So Right! That is exactly the first RC C2 I've ever seen! I spet most of my career on P-3's, that don't land on aircraft carriers, I wonder how much Begging it would take for Julius to Design or Build one?
As someone who worked on the C-2A, I thank you for representing my aircraft. I don't see that often. It was amazing plane to work on, being the oldest plane in the Navy. We occasionally did some pizza delivery and would cause quite a stir. It was like gold. Again, thank you for this and bringing back some great memories. Too bad we couldn't float like your video. That would have come in handy.
Absolutely incredible. It looks great with the planes and the detail is very realistic. The Catapult works and despite not being able to land it, I would love to just drive the boat around. BRAVO!!
Don't give up. Every Navy pilot can tell you; everyone has their night in the box. That is, the time when they go around and around and just can't seem to land on the Carrier. Great video, incredible build!
Hi from the USA. That is a seriously cool and impressive build, and you still managed to make it look easy! I mean, wow! Keep making cool stuff, and give Tom a treat for me!
What absolutely beautiful ship. I just wish I could have an rc ship just like this. Imagine having a fully scale rc battlefield with everything from the ships to the planes to the tanks and even some army men fighting other army men. That’s the dream right there
You’re not the first to attempt this. Nobody sticks the landings; even if they know to include arrestor wires on the deck, the margin of error is literally mere centimeters. It’s still an impressive build. +1 subscriber. ❤
Perhaps. Maybe some really strong magnets that slide on rails, generating a braking force via friction as the plane moves forward on the deck? They’d have to be really strong magnets though because otherwise the inverse square law will not cooperate.
Wow very impressed by your skills! In one video, you showed so much builds and experiments! For some others, this would have been a 10 parts series lol. Beautiful ship!
loved the carrier and catapault launch system,, u could perhaps do a amphibious carrier on wheels and use rc 4x4 to drive it on grass and run brushless motor underwater as a thrust pod
Beautiful my friend, just beautiful. It looks great.. Go bigger, in all aspects. The plane, the carrier. I would like to see you land on it!! 👍👍👍👍👍👍 AirHammer out!!

FANTASTIC...I Don't Bloody Believe it... You've built An Aircraft carrier that is REALLY going to launch n catch planes..GENIUS JULI strikes again .. Pass me the popcorn 🍿
A vert, very talented man. You are someone other modellers can strive to emulate. The way you make simple strategies work is equalled by no other modeller as far as i know. Your kids must love it! Best wishes from Scotland...
That was such good fun Julius - many thanks! And even if everything didn't go exactly according to plan, you and your son are men full of ideas, and very skillful in putting those ideas into action. Tom (from France).
There is a reason aircraft carriers are moving when launching and recovering aircraft. It gives the planes some airflow, making it easier to reach the required amount of lift before running out of runway. Great job though! Looks amazing.
Fabulous project! A keel (dagger board) might’ve prevented that rollover. But I imagine it might also create rudder authority issues depending on placement and size. Having made this a waterline model, I would probably add fake water around it and use it stationary on land. But making it RC was extremely fun to watch.
I just want to say two things : 1) thanks for sharing your works, you did a really good job 2) if the US supercarriers are too big, some countries have shorter ones, as in France here we have the Charles de Gaulle. The carrier is shorter and as such Us navy pilots have a harder time when trying to land
Man, you`re the dad that every boy dreams of👍....the dedication is admirable. Where others spend thousands of bucks you show how it can be done on a low budget. Impressive! Please keep doing what you are doing✌
Great video and very effective looking model. They say that landing on an aircraft carrier is one of the most difficult things for a pilot to do. Keep up the great work :)
You are very talented to design and figure out all the pieces and assembly of the aircraft carrier. The airplanes are simple. The carrier is not. Thanks for sharing!
I watch a RUclips chanel called Flite Test based in the States. They do alot of similar types of builds, but nothing like this. The Carrier was pure magic when you put it in the water! You are very talented sir! Indeed
Really awesome video, I almost passed it up in the beginning, I'm glad I didn't. Nice rendering of a carrier. I never knew foam could be so durable. This fella is also pretty clever the way he makes various details from easily available components. The canopy's cool!!!
This made me smile very much. My son and I make RC planes together and maybe we could do something more ambitious as you have done here. Great video too and thank you from Sydney - David
I thought it was great until I read the 12 meters in the description! Now I'm amazed it doesn't look nearly that big while recording. Impressive build sir 👏🏼
