I never got to meet Eddie , but I saw VH in concert 11 different times over the years. Back in the days of General admission tickets, we would show up early and get front row. At the end of the Fair warning tour Eddie reached over and handed me a guitar pick. I have it in our safe deposit box along with all my concert ticket stubs. Rest In Peace Edward Van Halen, you were one of a kind!

There are many great guitarists in all genres of music. To say one is the greatest is a bit much and i don't agree with anyone saying such nonsense. This rock and roll Hall Of Fame spokesman made the same claim as you. Who isn't in their Hall is another issue many don't agree with.

I had the pleasure of watching Eddie do a solo stint at Birmingham NEC UK back in the 90s when I went to see Van Halen, he sat on the speaker not 5ft from me and brought the house down, an experience that will I treasure for ever, an absolutely amazing guitarist that will be sorely missed by many but your music will live on for an eternity. R.I.P Eddie, my condolences to your family and Van Halen.
