All of you keep throwing shade at Ash… I mean, don’t get me wrong, there is a clear power gap between the power of their monsters, but he’s not COMPLETELY screwed. Pokémon have their fair share of stratagem ruining status effects and hax. And if Ash decides to hit Yugi directly with such a move that restricts item usage, Yugi is in BIG trouble. (Part of Yugi’s battle IQ is the result of Atem coaching him through the millennium puzzle. If that link is severed, Yugi is on his own.) I’m not trying to straight up take sides, I’m just trying to be impartial and see this debate from both sides. In terms of numbers and feats, Yugi’s highest ranks blow any Legendary or unusual Pokémon Ash could possibly have access to out of the water. But big kabooms and fleet feet aren’t always enough on their own. Their wits and skills will also be deciding factors.
